Computer engineering is a very time consuming, challenging job. To be a good computer engineer you need years of experience and college education. Computer engineers provide information and data processing for certain computer firms and organizations. They conduct research, design computers, and discover and use new principles and ideas of applying computers. I am going to tell you specific facts about the careers of computer engineers like payment, education needed, skills, responsibilities of the job, job outlook, and benefits of the job.
Computer engineering started about 5,000 years ago in China when they invented the abacus. The abacus is a manual calculator in which you move beads back and forth on rods to add or subtract. Other inventors of simple computers include Blaise Pascal who came up with the arithmetic machine for his father’s work. Also Charles Babbage produced the Analytical Engine, which combined math calculations from one problem and applied it to solve other complex problems. The Analytical Engine is similar to today’s computers.
Occupation’s Duties
A computer engineer has certain duties and responsibilities depending on the location and size of the firm he or she works for. Also the duties vary between job levels. If you work at a small firm, you will be set up on the firing line immediately and will be expected to make your boss money or you’ll be fired. Also in a smaller firm you’ll probably spend hours of pain-staking time trying to solve a problem that other engineers probably went over before.
In larger firms, you’ll be hired probably as a junior computer engineer and work your way up to senor and maybe manager of engineers.
If you enjoy challenging work and problem solving, your best place to be is in a ...

I also know of a few bad things about computer engineering. These things include spending long hours in front of computers which may cause eye strain or even Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
I think eventually that I’d get over those since my interest in computer engineering out weighs all the bad things.
Conclusion
Computer engineering is a very stressful job for those people who want it. Anyone who’s interested can see the benefits and positive things about computer engineering out weigh the bad. The education, duties, benefits, job outlook, and responsibility are all included in this report. I hope I have in some way persuaded you to look more into computer engineering. Now is the perfect time to get in the field of computers, demand is high, and so is payment. Computer engineering is the perfect place for those people who thrive on challenges.
Computer hardware engineering is a major where people deal with various parts of computer hardware like motherboards and microchips in multiple ways and want to see beyond the computer parts to look at the ins and outs of it. They are the ones that produces the technology that remains a big phenomenon all over the world from personal computers to cell phones, and continues to improve on it for generations to come. They use this knowledge to do multiple things including helping consumers with their computer problems, analyzing public data to determine what the public needs and how to make it happen, and produce their own computer hardware by planning their own designs to produce new hardware for commercial, consumer, and military use, test it out, and then distribute it out for use.
There are many different beginnings to the origins of computers. Their origins could be dated back more than two thousand years ago, depending on what a person means when they ask where the first computer came from. Most primitive computers were created for the purpose of running simple programs at best. (Daves Old Computers) However, the first ‘digital’ computer was created for the purposes of binary arithmetic, otherwise known as simple math. It was also created for regenerative memory, parallel processing, and separation of memory and computing functions. Built by John Vincent Atanasoff and Clifford Berry during 1937-1942, it was dubbed the Atanasoff Berry Computer (ABC).
The responsibilities and tasks of a electrical engineer is to work of many projects, such as computers, robots, cell phones, cards, radars, navigation, systems, wiring and lighting in buildings and other kinds of electrical systems. There are many thing that an electrical engineer has to come across to obtain some results and make something new or improve something that is dated. (Engineering Technicians, Page 58)
...p technology working properly; system engineers rely on their ability to think about a system comprehensively and application engineers are required to be resourceful. Although learning electrical engineering does make job-hunting much easier, engineers must pass a radical examination to receive their licenses. In order to get the licenses, I will have to complete a minimum number of years on the job.

The word engineer comes from the latin word ingeniare. ingeniare means construct or craftsmanship. Ever since the beginning of time we have had engineers. Engineering is the combination of math and science , solving world problems to help better the world around us. Being an engineer takes a lot of knowledge, creativity, and hard work. A typical engineer can clearly see a problem and is capable of fining a solution. A senior engineer or engineering manager usually doesnt do as much technical work, but usally lot of managing. Some of the first official engineers were military engineers. They were employed by the goverment to build such things as roads, bridges, and weapons. US mililary Academy at Westpoint was the first school to offer an education in enginnering. Engineering is a very broad field. Engineers are always at a high demand, we could never have enough brilliant minds making the world better. Engineers are needed everywhere. Engineering managers have to have a bachelor's degree or higher, they usually direct and seek solutions to problems and are sometimes called executi...
Electrical Engineers research, develop, design, and test electronic components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, and scientific applications (Cosgrove 749). They are concerned with devices that use small amounts of electricity that make up electronic components such as integrated circuits and microprocessors. By applying principles and techniques of electronic engineering they design, develop, and manufacture products such as computers, telephones, radios, and stereo systems (EGOE, 121). Electrical engineers touch everyone lives through the things they have designed or created. Electrical engineers have invented the lights in your house, the television, the stereo, the telephone, computers, and even your doctor’s blood pressure gauge (Stine 300).
I know that the major I chose as an electrical engineer is not an easy one, but I also know that this is the best fit for me, and that I chose the right one. Not only do I get to contribute to the ever-changing society that we live in, but I also face new challenges every day, which is exciting because that means that in my career each day is different, and I love taking on a new challenge, which will enhance my knowledge and make me a better electrical engineer.
... things that software engineers need to learn, if you do not learn these things you will be at a disadvantage and be limited to what you are capable of. The rapid growth will open new jobs for the upcoming generations of software engineering. Software engineering is a hard but rewarding career, but in the end it helps others accomplish things that would not be possible 50 years ago.
Everyone wants to be something from a doctor to a stylist, I want to be a mechanical engineer. This is something I have always wanted to do in my life, the opportunities that exist in this field can lead to anything. Mechanical engineers are able to do many tasks in the job environment from designing, to developing, and also building. In addition, as new companies are starting up they will need mechanical engineers to help them develop their product. All of the engineering fields have great pay, that is able to support my family and also my parents. In the work environment of a mechanical engineer, they usually are around an office and sometimes where their product is being used at. To be able to apply for a mechanical engineering job you
In order to fully understand the history of computers and computers in general, it is important to understand what it is exactly that lead up to the invention of the computer. After all, there was a time when the use of laptops, P.C.s, and other machines was unthinkable. Way back in the fourth century B.C., the abucus was an instrument used for counting in Babylonia. Many scholars believe that it likely started out as pebbles being moved over lines drawn in the dirt and then evolved into a more complex counting tool (Aspray 7). About 1200 years later, Roman numerals were finally introduced, along with the idea of the zero and other mathematical basics. This helped lay the foundation for several different men who had findings that would eventually lead us to the beginnings of computers and computing. Though they are often referred to as scholars, many of these intellectuals were most likely just merely the nerds of their time. Take Wilhelm Schickard and Blaise Pascal of the 17th century, for example. Both of these men had enough time on their hands to individually build two of the first mechanical calculators in history. Unfortunately, Schickard calculator never even made it past the model stage and Pascal machine had several snags of its own; nevertheless, both of their discoveries helped lead to more advanced computing. The next so-called geek to make his way into the computing spotlight was Charles Babbage. In 1842, he developed ideas for a computer that could find the solution to a math problem. His system was rudimentary, using punch-cards in the computation; however, his ideas were far from basic. In fact, the analysis of his Analytical Engine includes fundamentals of computer programming, including data analysis, looping, and memory addressing (History).
The next thing is getting an interpreter for the specific language one desire to learn. An interpreter is just a separate computer program that normally translates written ideas in a programming language into a machine code enabling one to see things work. There are numerous programs and all that is needed is just a choice of a program that meets the particular need.
The history of the computer dates back all the way to the prehistoric times. The first step towards the development of the computer, the abacus, was developed in Babylonia in 500 B.C. and functioned as a simple counting tool. It was not until thousands of years later that the first calculator was produced. In 1623, the first mechanical calculator was invented by Wilhelm Schikard, the “Calculating Clock,” as it was often referred to as, “performed it’s operations by wheels, which worked similar to a car’s odometer” (Evolution, 1). Still, there had not yet been anything invented that could even be characterized as a computer. Finally, in 1625 the slide rule was created becoming “the first analog computer of the modern ages” (Evolution, 1). One of the biggest breakthroughs came from by Blaise Pascal in 1642, who invented a mechanical calculator whose main function was adding and subtracting numbers. Years later, Gottfried Leibnez improved Pascal’s model by allowing it to also perform such operations as multiplying, dividing, taking the square root.
