Recommended: Paradigm/theological support for biblical leadership in contrast to secular perspective of leadership

What is leadership? According to Sanders, “Leadership is influence, the ability of one person to influence others to follow his or her lead.” In today’s society, there is a significant focus on the role and importance of leadership especially in ministry. For many the principles that have arisen for leadership can make things even more confusing because some are consistent with Scripture and others are contradictory. As well, there is a need to define leadership according to the Scriptures so that there is clarity and understanding of leadership from a biblical perspective for those in ministry. Moore Jr. Bishop Moore has been in ministry for 25 years and is the current founder and pastor of Destiny Community Church in Richmond, Virginia. Bishop Moore has always had a calling on his life and accepted his calling at a young age. Bishop Moore is the son of Mother Flossie & Ernest L. Moore, Sr. and is a third-Generation Pentecostal Preacher. As a seminarian, He has studied with what he calls some of the greatest theological scholars of our times. Bishop Moore has studied at J. Sgt. Brown licensed him to minister and was ordained in 1994 by Bishop Lawrence L. Taylor. Bishop Moore throughout his career has served several churches in pastoral ministry such as Koninonia Church, Farmer St. C.O.G.O.P., Cathedral of Life, and currently at Destiny Community Church. As well, set in the office of the Prophet Bishop Larry E. Williams, appointed as Chairman of the Board of Presbysters Nebo Christian Ministries Baltimore, and at one point pastored Cathedral of Life, currently located in Temple Hills, MD, while pastoring at Destiny Community Church in Richmond, VA. His current and only church at this time is Destiny Community Church; which was established in 2000 by Bishop Moore. While pastoring Destiny Community Church, June 19, 2016, he received the appointment to Pentecostal bishop during a ceremony at Cedar Street Baptist Church of God.
