It is proven that gender equality is very vital and fundamental since it is considered an effective way of addressing democracy and also promoting lasting economic growth. It is one of the founding principles of European Unions and even its future building block. This has therefore led to various causes in respect to equality between men and women since women are seen to be achieving more in education and also actively participating in the labor force than ever before. One of the causes of growing gender equality between men and women is that men and women are still seen to remain as an elusive goal. This is because everyone will be given a fair ground so as to participate in the decision-making process. The issues addressed in the decision-making process will also be given equal consideration and in the end the society will have accomplished its aim of better decision making. The need and interest of the people will also be met because society will have unity due to the removed sense of inequality. Research has also shown that growing equality between men and women will be able to reduce the poverty level in the society. It had been argued in the past that women are more likely to live in poverty as opposed to men; therefore, with growing equality on the subject parties, both men and women will have fair and equal operational ground. Some of the societal growth or developments would have been realized since there would be an equal allocation of the public financial resources within the society, and, therefore, every societal need would be met. There would also be the quick delivery of services such as water, education and also health services because of the acceptance of equality to reign between men and women. Another change that the society is also likely to experience when both men and women are considered to be equal is that on conflict-related issues with respect to gender. Over an extended period, the society has always had various forms of gender-based conflicts and even gender-based violence. Up to date, there are still various measures that are undertaken to address such kind of sexist cases.
