But the results for the dominance and extroversion factor results were exactly the same as my self-concept of who I am. People with low dominance prefer to do research and extra work before they commit to making a decision, and this describes me perfectly, as I find it hard to commit to something before working it out. Being a low extrovert means I am serious person, who is imaginative, reflective but also reserved. In self-concept I got higher result than in self, it was still a low value, but it might mean I am trying to be more patient, stable and consistent. It might be because I am trying to change to adapt to environment, or what might be expected of me. But for formality my result was slightly a bit lower, this could mean I might be trying to be more casual and informal. This can also mean I am also trying to be more tolerant of risks or uncertainty. The self-concept told me about my efforts to adapt to my environment. In my opinion I think I am not the best for adapting to the environments, that I don’t like changes and prefer having set routine plans. I find it hard to carry things on without having a plan and find it hard to easily commit to thinks. This tells me I usually overthink
In extraversion and openness to experience my score was eight and agreeableness was the lowest at seven. I also agree with my assessment that I have a moderate level of extraversion. In the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test assessment, my personality type was Extravert-Sensing-Thinking-Judging (ESTJ), where I had marginal or no preference of Extraversion over Introversion (“Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test”, n.d.). Therefore each test tells me that I can be extraverted or introverted depending on the situation. If I am in charge of a task, I play the role of an extravert. In contrast, if I am not in charge I am more
For extraversion, I scored a 37, which is average. It is true, I am neither a chatterbox or reserved, because there are those days when I am enthusiastic or low-key. I scored low on activity level, which I found interesting, because I like to stay busy and active. As for neuroticism, I scored low at 25, thankfully. I was quite worried about my result of this factor, because no one wants to be described as neurotic. I would describe myself as relatively calm and composed, but there are some days I am stressed. For anxiety, self-consciousness, and vulnerability I scored an average, which would explain my stressful days. The other facets, anger, depression, and immoderation I scored low. Which is good, meaning I’m not neurotic. Thirdly, for consciousness I scored a high of 68, which I am very pleased about. For the reason that it said I have clear goals and determination, which I cannot argue with that. My agreeableness is lower than I expected of 23. I know I try to be considerate of others, but from the results, my answers to the questions resulted otherwise. At least for sympathy, cooperation, and trust I scored an average. Lastly for openness I scored a low of 4, which was alarming to me, because the number was a single digit number. Though I do find myself preferring plain and simple things, however it was upsetting that I scored low on adventurousness for someone who likes to
My score on extraversion was 22, low again compared to the norm. For this trait, I agreed with my results at first, but after some thinking I realized although I am introverted, I do behave extravertly sometimes. In general, I prefer working alone, staying indoors, and I don’t like being around a lot of people. For example, when given a group project, I’d prefer working on my own. Yet most of the time, I end up being the group leader because I get along well with people and am usually optimistic. Basically, I prefer settings with less people, but I can mingle well with strangers at parties or functions. Most of my friends and myself included, would say I am extraverted because I make friends easily and am usually very happy and cheerful. But that is only partially true because I do behave differently depending on the situation and my role as a friend, student, employee, etc. Therefore, I don’t agree with my results overall. Considering I show both introversion and extroversion, I think my results should have been within average compared to the
The first factor is extraversion which means if you seek company or prefer to be alone. In this category I scored a twenty-eight which is about average. Meaning I’m neither extrovert or introvert,
“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.”
A person’s identity develops over time, which help separate one’s identification from others. There is a clear conception that identity is reflected off an individual’s experiences in life. Identity distinguishes the character or personality that makes an individual different from others. Furthermore, the experience is one’s personal encounters that lead to a gain of knowledge. Whether an experience is negative or positive it plays a significant role in how personal identity is shaped. Like James Baldwin mention: “identity would seem to be arrived at by the way in which the person faces and uses his experience”. Baldwin made it clear how identity is manifested and very understandable to say he is right because people can relate to experiencing.
There has been a large amount of attention paid to the subject of entrepreneurship in the last few years; mainly because most people have chosen to go from working for somebody else, to be their own bosses and work for their dreams. Nevertheless, many still wonder what is entrepreneurship and what is that sets entrepreneurs apart from other regular business owners. At first, it seems both concepts do not differ much from each other since they both start up and run businesses and assume risks to pursue opportunities; however, there are certain traits that difference them.
Entrepreneurship incorporates unconstrained imagination and a readiness to settle on choices without strong information. The entrepreneur may be driven by a need to make something new or assemble something unmistakable. As new ventures have low achievement rates, the business person should have impressive tirelessness. Because of this, the entrepreneur may have the best risk of achievement by concentrating on a business sector corner either too little or too new to have been commanded by built up organizations.

The success of a business is greatly dependent on its entrepreneur. An entrepreneur is someone who takes the financial risk of starting and managing a new business venture. In order to be a successful entrepreneur, one must be ready to take a risk and invest one’s own savings into a business. The job requires that the individual be ambitious and committed to working hard in order to achieve the set targets. A successful entrepreneur is able to multi-task and communicates effectively with people, possessing leadership qualities such as confidence and motivation. The individual must play the role of constant motivator and inspire employees to improve their work performance, whilst ensuring a comfortable environment for the employees to work in. According to Schumpeter (1982), an entrepreneur is more of a ‘heroic’ than an ‘economic’ figure; his motivation should not solely be monetary, rather stemming more from inspiration and ambition.
My personality has been described as the “Extrovert”. The extrovert definition is, “a bold, outgoing person whose attention is usually directed outward.” (Coon & Mitterer, 2013, p.385) Although I am considered an extrovert, there are many other factors and traits which make up my personality. Personality questioners are designed to create a trait profile, a “picture” of an individual. The Five-factor model, also known as the “Big Five”, proposes that personality has five universal dimensions.” (Coon & Mitterer, 2013, p.395) The five factors rated are extroversion, agreeableness, conscientious, neuroticism and openness to experience. Each factor “domain” includes subdomains within each factor, which are also rated. After taking a personality test, the results I felt were pretty accurate. I feel some of the areas were a bit off. As I go over my results, I will further elaborate.
Entrepreneurships can be two ways whether it is by individual intention or entrepreneur taking by family firm.
