Entertainment has become very important to humankind. In the book “Life the Movie”, Neal Gabler claimed that entertainment is ruining our society because entertainment is “fun, sensational, mindless, formulaic, predictable and subversive”, and in return it has been creating people who are ignorant, and thoughtless of the world surrounding them. But on the contrary, entertainment has taught us to be creative and thoughtful of others, it creates a feeling of connection with one another, we maintain socially stable, and keep relationships interesting with the influence of entertainment. Stress is one of the grandest problems of our society, it has been shown to be extremely hazardous to our overall physical and mental health. Prolonged stress has the ability to end our lives by impacting our nervous system and deterioration the function of our internal and external organs. In todays modern life, work and school can be very stressful. Entertainment ables us to take a break from the chaotic world we live in. People need time to recover and relax from the stress of the world. Entertainment has allowed for us to relax and exit the real world, we can enclose ourselves in what we are doing and forget the problems that is creating stress for a few minutes or hours, relaxing us and helping us become stress free, we can focus on ourselves and our thoughts, rather than focusing on the problems in our life. Twentieth century philosophers explained that entertainment would have the capability “to overturn all morality, to poison the springs of domestic happiness, to dissolve the ties of our social order, and to involve our country in ruins.” Entertainment has transitioned into our way of living but, we maintain morals, we are able to create happiness with what we have, we can help our mind and body heal by relaxing and thinking of things that will make us happy rather than think of all the corruption and the troubles of the world at times and others to pay attention to those problems but with peace in our minds rather than with stress and making the right
