English 111 Reflective Essay

I have learned a great deal in English 111 like how to write a thesis statement, writing bibliography cards, writing a research paper, and also learned how to write a work cited page. However, I think the most important thing I learn is grammar and how often we need and use it. We use it on a day to day basis. Rather you are typing a text to a friend or writing an email to a professor or teacher grammar is needed. We used it on every one of our essay and research papers. I consider it is an extremely important skill that should be carried on through life.

This English class was a great learning experience for me. Although sometimes the work become to much, knowing that I will be able to use the skills I have learned and practiced makes it worthwhile. I have gained so much understanding in this class

Hopefully I will be able to apply the skills that I learn and constantly practicing them, they will become habits when I write. My hope is that I will be able to become a better writer. However minimal the change was, I think I have improved greatly since I have started the English 111 class. From my spelling to my writing. You as a teacher have pushed me to find different word that I wouldn’t nominal use. I hope that I can also carry that along with me through my years of college.

Although this course was very instructive and effective, I think for students like me that have a harder time with grammar if you could put more grammar exercises in the semester that it could be helpful, when writing paper and such. Other than that I think I have learned a great deal in your class and hope to carried it on in my life of many years as I continuing my education.
