Throughout my high school career I have encountered many academic highs as well as lows. I am very proud to say that one of my proudest highlights would be my Engineering Design/Develop Honors class. below is a copy of the class description.
Course Description:
The knowledge and skills students acquire throughout PLTW Engineering come together in Engineering Design and Development as they identify an issue and then research, design, and test a solution, ultimately presenting their solution to a panel of engineers. Students apply the professional skills they have developed to document a design process to standards, completing Engineering Design and Development ready to take on any post-secondary program or career.
You’ve never had a class like this. Although there will be a few “traditional” teacher-delivered content lessons/assignments, the vast majority of classes will be groups of students working on a long-rang full-year project that solves a particular problem of their choosing. In essence, almost everything done in this course is student-driven, providing an opportunity to create a real-world solution by

Although there will undoubtedly be a temptation to focus on the final product, at its core Engineering Design & Development is a research class meant to fully encapsulate the design process. The final product (project) that is produced is simply a by-product. Throughout the design process, students will produce very detailed portfolio documentation through an online site called Innovation Portal. At any given time, some groups may be at completely different points in their process than other groups. Towards the end of the year, parents, faculty, and others will be invited to view “high-stakes” student presentations of their products to a panel of professional engineers. Depending upon their solutions to real-world problems, students may even have the potential to patent

Focus shall be on utilizing pre-production tools while developing the prototypes. Actual material, wherever possible, shall be used in the development of prototypes rather than having substituted parts. Make the prototypes as closer as possible to actual outputs.
A gang is a loosely organized group of individual people who join forces for social reasons. Or anti-social reasons depending on how one looks at it. A person may join a gang for numerous reasons. These reasons include the need for “identity, discipline, recognition, love, money, and belonging.” 5 “Today there are approximately 274 Blood and Crip gangs in Los Angeles County alone.” 1 The gangs that are often in the news are usually made up of African-Americans. “African-Americans first formed street gangs in the late 1920s and early 1930s on the east side of Los Angeles near Central and Vernon Avenues. They were also forming in the downtown area of Los Angeles around the same time.” 4

With the fast advances in innovation, a significant number of today 's employments now require more than a high school education or trade skills. Achievement in the workforce is progressively characterized by the capacity to think fundamentally, control a PC, and to work cooperatively in a teaming domain. Today 's school training builds up these capacities, furnishing people with priceless business and individual aptitudes and information,

Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry. I have taken this decision after carefully considering my academic background, profound interest in research and strong aptitude for problem solving. Banking on an excellent academic record coupled with a keen interest in the ever-growing field of science and technology motivated me to take up engineering.

Designers are faced with all different kinds details, how we deal with those details are affecting the success of the entire researcher. No matter how complex and difficult to meet the design issues, we must seriously sum up experience, repeated scrutiny in order to achieve the best results. Design professionals should have
At the final week of Innovation & Enterprise I EE3031 module, I finally learned the process of conceptualizing and designing a product which involves technology. Leadership, teamwork and communication should be part of education as it not only enhances interpersonal skills but real life skills. In addition, presenting to an audience was key to gaining interest for a new development product.
