Per Reporter: Tyshel, Jernea, and Robert has an open case. Reporter went to the school on 11/14/17 to check on the children. The children said that they longer felt safe in the home with their aunt (Jessica). The aunt threatens to send them back to foster care. She whoops Robert for no reasons. He does have any marks or bruises on him and it is unknown when it happened. She hit him with a belt on his back and his head. The children are not getting enough food at night. As reading through this trial I discovered that judges don’t always make the right decision for families or individuals. Likely in this case it is presentably true. Elenita and Romer got married in June 2005 and have three minor children together. As their marriage progressed, in the beginning of the year 2006, Romero became physically violent against Elenita. DSS received a report of physical abuse, physical neglect and substantial risk of physical abuse on March 3, 2017 alleging there is chaos in the home. After returning with his brothers from their cousin’s house, the boys had to go to bed. The reporter stated that Xzavia banged on his mother’s bedroom door on three separate occasions wanting something to eat. The first time he was told to go back to bed and a popping noise was heard. The second time Ms. Kimberly Dawkins grabbed Xzavia by the head, shook him little and told him to go back to bed. The third time Ms. Dawkins grabbed Xzavia, threw him on the bed, got a gun, held him down and pointed it at him. Reporter states there was no clip in the gun. Ms. Dawkins was reported being upset and it was reported that she left the home for twenty minutes but came back. It was reported that while Ms. Dawkins was gone, Xzavia was very upset and he was crying and Tyzhaun stared punching holes in the wall. It was reported that Xzavia says he wanted to die and that Atmorris went and got a knife, stated to Xzavia, “You want to die?”, here’s the knife and the two older brothers, Tyzhaun and Atmorris left the house and Xzavia chased them. It was reported that Xzavia was outside crying and he spent the night with the neighbor.

He remembers appreciating nature, encountering and writing to Becky, the first time he’d shot a gun, and Christmas leave. Luke identifies the moment when he realizes that he had joined the army for the wrong reason, after crossing the bridge his team built in order to cross the valley, and at the same time dreading the return to his former office job. David suffered physical, mental, and emotional abuse from the age of four to 12-years-old. As his teachers and principal, neighbors, and even his maternal grandmother and father stand by and let the abuse happen, it makes me wonder what they could have done differently. For example, David’s father saw the abuse firsthand and he would try to intervene to help him out initially. David’s father was caught by the madness of his wife in calling him, ‘the boy’ and ‘It’. As much as his father tried to comfort David, he did not have the will to stand up against his wife. Another example, the maternal grandmother commented on bruises visible on David’s body and she did not take action to report her daughter for abusing her grandchild, David. Instead, David’s grandmother stated that she should stay out of it and let David’s mother raise her children as she saw fit. I believed the unreported instances observed by the public to be just as substantial a crime as the child abusers themselves. Also, the Department of Children and Social Services were contacted because of the alleged child abuse events that occurred previously; however, he was not taken from the home because the social worker of the agency sided with David’s mother. Adam’s father, Wayne, is estranged from the family due to Sarah refusing to allow him in the house however, Angela continues to see him without her mother’s permission which is very upsetting for Sarah. On September 21, 2015, I was assigned this case to follow up. This case involves Ms. Hadja Bah a thirteen year old Francis Hammond School student. Ms. Bah has a previous runaway history and refuses to follow curfew set at home. Hadja had runaway several times (15-138346/15-121625/15-118272) which I have investigated several of the incidents. CPS investigator Ms. Alice Keany did a family assessment for the Bah family.
One day, I went to the superior court in Boston and to the District court. One of the cases that I observed at the Superior court was a case of assault and battery that happened at a train station on August 2014. an African American male who pushed a young male on a train track at South Station MBTA. During the court session, everyone gathered together to hear the assault and battery case that take place at the train station.
Erik Peterson faced a number of challenging situations with Jeff Hardy, a high level employee with CelluComm, the parent company of GMCT. At first we see an awkward relationship with Jeff Hardy whom Peterson had been assigned to work under by Ric Jenkins, partly due to the lack of concrete relationship guidelines between the two (Sami, 2013). Hardy had very little operational experience, and Peterson felt that he was unable to receive constructive guidance from Hardy. As a subordinate to Hardy, Peterson should have instead attempted to resolve this problem early on as it was a critical relationship within the GMCT Company. Consulting Hardy by letting him know of his concerns would have been a more efficient and respectful manner in handling the situation. This relationship building would also have been integral in facing the Peterson-Hardy communication issues with respect to the local municipalities and fire department. Operant Learning Theory (Johns & Saks, 2014, p.54) suggests that as a result of this negative consequence Peterson should be able to improve his interpersonal skills specifically with superiors within the organization moving forward. As a subordinate to Hardy, Peterson should have instead attempted to resolve this problem early on as it was a critical relationship within the GMCT Company.
The family lives in a public housing subsidy tenement and received public assistance from the State. Her first child, who she called "Mongo", because she was born with a disease called Down syndrome lived with her grandmother, but on days the social worker would visit the grandmother would bring the child by to visit. The client started experiencing delinquent behavior problems at age 11 around the time his father left out of his life, which may be hard for him to cope. To find out the cause of the client’s action, a meeting was setup with the family to discuss Marcus delinquent behavior. A social worker sat with the client and their family to gather information before client’s court appearance. The client’s family that was present at the session was 35 years old Mrs. Demetress Walker (client’s mother), 12 years old Janessa (sister), 38 Jamarcus Walker (step-father), and 14 years old Tyrus Walker (step-brother). During the session, each family member expressed their issues they have with the client. The social worker notices the tension each family member had towards Marcus. Mrs. Walker relationship towards her son is loving and protective. However, Mrs. Walker does say that Marcus is the one who refuses to get along with the family. Mrs. Walker has been married three times which seems to present a major issue with Marcus, especially since he does not like who she married. It is clear that Mrs. Walker wants to protect her son because she stated that she is scared that anything she says might get him in more trouble. There is a couple named Bruce and Janet Marshall; they have an eight-year-old son named Brandon Marshall. Lately the couple has been fighting over finances and small issues, the two cannot seem to stop arguing in front of Brandon. Every night the fights get worst. From the fighting and the screaming there is no end to it. Brandon feels that he is the blame for all there arguing because playing sports at his age in expensive. Months go by while Bruce has been sleeping on the couch and Janet upstairs with Brandon. Finally Bruce could not take it anymore, he told Janet that it was best for them to get a divorce and things went downhill from there. Two years later Janet and Bruce are still fighting in court over who gets what and fighting over whom gets full custody of Brandon. Through this process they never questioned how Brandon would deal with his family separating and if he understood what was going on. After their divorce was final Brandon was twelve-years-old and living with his father, he never saw his mother again.
