He means you don’t have to know music, you have to feel music. He didn’t know a lot about music but he became famous for it. His work has forever put it’s mark on the world for trying to break through the racial boundaries of music in this time period, but very few people can listen to his music and see that he was breaking these racial boundaries or have listen to his speeches and realize this world is not okay in the sense that people are still being racist against people and the kind of music people listen to. people are putting music with race and he decided to combined them.

He and his parents moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1948 and he graduated from Humes High School there in 1953.Elvis’s musical infuence’s were pop, country, gospel music in church, all-night gospel sings, and black R & B on Beale Street as a teenager. Elvis began his singing career with the Sun Record Label in 1954. They sold his contract to RCA Victor, then that same year he became an enterentional sensation. Elvis was drafted into the the army in March 1958. He was assigned to the tank division, formerly headed by General George Patton. He is regarded as one of the most successful United States field commanders of any war. Elvis’s tank division were sent to Germany. He served from 1958 through 1960 during the Berlin Crisis. There were thousands of American tanks sent to stop thousands of Russian tanks from getting to Fulda Gap, the border between East and West Germany. Hannibal had already invaded Fulda Gap.
