As an eager to learn business student, I am thrilled to submit my application to the prestigious Eller College of Management. I am passionate about finance and wish to continue pursuing my degree at The University of Arizona. My knowledge of business and negotiating as well as the networking skills and fast paced environments that I have possessed throughout my time as a pre-business major, and the professional experiences I have had to this point, have prepared me to be a great asset to the finance department at Eller. I have chosen this major due to my ability to work hard in stressful situations, handle competition, communicate extremely well, as well as reflect integrity in all situations. A business degree would put me one step closer

I wanted to get insight from the students from the fisher school of business to see what they had to say. I’m happy that I attended this lecture and know more about the business major in

The Wharton school is all that I have ever wanted and more. The prospect of going beyond the classroom and learning through real world interactions has always fascinated me. At Penn, I can learn Finance and Accounting through case studies, computer simulations and Wharton entrepreneurship programs. My first experience of an internship in the world of finance in high school has been thoroughly enjoyable and I hope to have many more of these experiences at Wharton. The prospect of developing close a...
I will use my M.B.A. in International Business to further my career goals in the areas of international tax accounting, an area that I feel would make me stand apart from the crowd in the Pittsburgh employment arena. In fact, I was laid off from Giant Eagle while completing my bachelor’s degree, so I have begun job searching these last few months. It has become very apparent to me that an accounting individual needs to not only have a master’s degree and a CPA license to be successful, they also need a skill that gives them an edge. I decided on the concentration of international business after completing some international courses taken as part of my bachelor’s degree. It was very evident to me that Point Park University has many exceptional international professors that would provide the utmost in quality education for this field of

While this program is an entirely new structure for me, I have a very strong foundation. After graduating from one of the top business schools in the country - Indiana University Kelley School of Business - eleven years ago, I embarked on my professional career feeling empowered, excited, and most of all prepared based on my collegiate experience. I was able to secure full time employment prior to graduation and went on to work in the public accounting field. As a result of taking advantage of other opportunities as they presented themselves, I diversified my career by taking on various roles at: a relatively young public corporation; a smaller well established accounting firm; a growing start-up business; and a mid-sized private company. Even though each advancement of my career was seemingly unrelated, a recurring theme in each position was interpersonal relationships and communications (I was almost always in a team based environment). In addition, each successive role put me in place to acquire more leadership experience. My assorted roles and responsibilities will bring real world experience of various industries, companies (large & small), and roles to the program.

I am studying Business Administration here at UF because in the future I hope to be a successful businesswoman. Since the early age of 6, I was an entrepreneur. When I was six, I began my own business in my community, and sold products (toys) on the block that I no longer wanted in order to make a profit. This past summer, I created my own jewelry company and it was a success from the start. I used social media to advertise, sales skills to move forward and generate more revenue, and my artistic ability to create products. I see myself as someone with a strong drive to make it in the business world.
There are many socioeconomic factors that influence students as they are choosing their college majors. Since some degrees can determine the type of career the students will have for the rest of their lives, there is a lot of pressure to choose a major they will be passionate about. However, not every student has a single interest they are truly passionate about. Luckily, there are other degrees that emphasize providing students with the tools they would need to create their own place in the business world. Like many other liberal arts degrees, a Bachelor’s Degree in English focuses on developing a solid base of critical thinking on which a student may build their career or decide to further their education. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in English can prepare students for careers in education, law, publishing, journalism, public relations, business, management, advertising and writing; all of which, I have expressed an interest in at one time. Although there are many other degrees that support my
I aim to pursue a career in Finance. I am attracted by this field because Finance is neither completely art nor science but a mixture of both and I enjoy work where there is a scope for thinking and creativity. Moreover I have big passion about the finance. I love watching how money is flowing over the world and the way things affect international financial market. Also analyzing stock market and companies excites me. I know that process to become financial planner is really difficult. However, I know that I can take all the difficulties and will be the best. I am sure that I chose my first step as starting at Eastern Washington University is the best choice. My decision to apply for a master's degree of finance and investment stems from my strong ability for numerical analysis. My previous work experience has been working with business development in the field of hospitality. I have been a part of organizing products to create sustainability for the company. Currently I work as a Lead at Gonzaga University, I began working there more than a year but through leadership development and hard work I was quickly promoted to Supervisor position.
People often mistaken studying real estate means becoming a real estate agent, however, Terry College of Business offers much more than getting that license for commercial real estate. Terry offers various careers in this major, one of which I want to pursue in the future: a financial analyst. I recently discovered my passion in real estate while studying investments and securities in Accounting I. As I took this course, I quickly realized what I wanted to do involving my initial interest in math, and how I would go about combining my interest as well as skills in communication. Another prerequisite I found to be substantial for this career were ECON 2105 and 2016 where I gained an in-depth knowledge and understanding in predicting the economic
Pursuing a business degree was not first on my list of obtainable degrees. Not until I had taken a variety of classes did I realize that I needed to purse a degree that I could foresee a successful future. The opportunities and careers available to business majors have been a large contributing factor to my decision to pursue a business degree. Networking is a valuable aspect of business, and it is vital that business majors invest an adequate amount of time meeting and connecting with others in the

The author Ken Lakuta (date unknown) once wrote, “Opportunities exists in the air for just a few minutes. If you don’t obey your gut feeling right away, you’ve lost your chance” (Brown, quoting Lakuta, date unknown, p.3). I do not want to miss my chance! I intend to seize the moment and finish the courses necessary to obtain my master’s of business administration for many reasons. With the tools the University has made available to me such as “rEsource”, learning team environment, and problem-based learning I will successfully complete this program and achieve my goal.
