Having never gone to university and starting out as a temp, rising to CEO, while churning out best-selling novels, it was by sheer strength of will that she has managed to become what she is today. Her big break came when she was offered a permanent position at Sun Alliance, which gave her the chance to study during the evenings. She had always been interested in pursuing writing and had followed detective writers such as Lee Child and Agatha Christie ever since she was a child. Nonetheless, she had always taken writing as a hobby until the publication and success of her first novel Requiem Mass in 1998. Having tasted success, she would dip her toes into full tie writing in 2005, when she was in between jobs. But she missed the people, the office environment and the financial management industry and hence was back as CEO of Allianz Global Investors before the year was out. She prefers to write crime thriller because she believes she has a good understanding of psychological analysis that is fundamental for the genre. Since the publication of her first novel, she has always been working on a novel – except for 2008/2009 when the pressures of the financial crisis would not allow her to do so. She does most of her writing during the weekends and on holidays but always has a legal pad with her just in case she gets an idea for a new chapter while she is …show more content…
As far as police procedurals go, the novel does quite well with convincing characters and unobtrusive writing. What follows is an exhilarating story full of vivid descriptions, exceptional character development, and a plot that will leave you scared and thrilled in equal
The book is great with the plot mainly focused in the courtroom, but it feels like the author put the plot of the story from different events that happened to younger people and not from one whole event. Finally, the document went into depth of how the defense attorney went on to get every piece of evidence as possible to make the eyes of the jury see that Brenton Butler was not the person that shot and killed the
Fans of the novel found that the way the novel is written, you never want to put it down and the action keeps things moving and is quite entertaining. The novel pulls you in and makes you love each of the main characters in it. This is a great series for anyone to read, and it is audience friendly for whoever reads them. There is quite a bit of suspense that will make the novel exceed readers 's expectations, and the twists and turns keeps you guessing and lets nothing be predictable. Some like the way this group of people bands together when they really need to and keep things together so they can all stop the
... being driven out of her mind, so writing is one of the only things she can do to keep herself occupied. “I know I shouldn’t write but I’ve got to do something. She writes about everything that she is experiencing, and while every once and a while looks back into the past, she is usually in the present. This is written in first person point of view as well.

Andi Anderson (Kate Hudson) is a beautiful, young, and successful writer who maintains a “How-To” section in “Composure” magazine. Her dream is to “write about things that matter, like politics and the environment, and foreign affairs- things I’m interested in.” (How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, time stamp 02:00). She knows that the only way she will eventually be able to write about subjects she’s passionate about is to be successful in writing her superficial “How-To” section in the magazine.
Mary Bryant was in the group of the first convicts (and the only female convict) to ever escape from the Australian shores. Mary escaped from a penal colony which often is a remote place to escape from and is a place for prisoners to be separated. The fact that Bryant escaped from Australia suggests that she was a very courageous person, this was a trait most convicts seemed to loose once they were sentenced to transportation. This made her unique using the convicts.
What is it like to live a life with Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD)? Narcissism is a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and lack of empathy. People with this disorder can be vindictive, selfish, cunning person. They do not care who is harmed or hurt. Abigail was the leader of all of the girls that were seen dancing and calling on evil spirits. Abigail would threaten the girls by saying if they said anything, she would kill or harm them severely. She wanted what she couldn’t have, so that made her psychologically unstable. Abigail William’s would be convicted in today’s court because she gave many threats to kill the girls who were with her the night they were dancing if they spoke up in court, her behavior caused harm to many even though she may not have physically done damage herself and due to previous court cases, some people diagnosed with Narcissism were found innocent due to their mental instability but others were guilty because they were mentally unstable. As it is shown, Narcissistic Personality Disorder causes her to be selfish, arrogant, dangerous, and obsess over the man she could not have, because Abigail threatened the girls she was with the night they were dancing, to not confess to anything in court.
I think that overall the book was an amazing book. It drew me in the entire time and I could not put it down because of that. If any part started to get boring something insane would happen to make it interesting. For example in one part of the book it starts to get a little bit slow because it just talks about search methods a group of Bzrk members were using. Then suddenly a fake swat team busts into the house and kills everyone inside besides one child who ends killing almost all of the fake swat team. Another example was that a girl was sitting on the beach counting and kept counting for a while. Then suddenly she gets kidnapped and brought aboard a ship that is full of crazy people. Those are just some the things that happen throughout the book that keep interested on every page.
Overall, this book was enjoyable to read, it wasn’t incredible, but it was good. The characters made it easy to root for them. This book is not for the faint of heart, due to some gory descriptions, however I liked it and would recommend reading it.
In my opinion, I could not have picked a better book to do this project on. Even though I do not like to read, I think that this book is a well written, great novel. This novel combines suspense, mystery, and action. My favorite part of the book was when the group of five kidnap Mr. Griffin and abandon him by the lake because this was the climax of the story. I would recommend this book to people who love murder mysteries, suspense, and a shocking ending. I would even recommend this book to people who do not read.
Although I liked the flow of action in this novel, a large number of superfluous characters are introduced in the first part of the book that never get fully fleshed out. Some of the characters more integral to the story also seemed a little shallow in their presentation.
All in all, this novel is a good read, so long as the reader takes the time to think about everything that goes into it.
...o creates this new exotic and weird environment yet manages to keep a bit of reality of the city. She manages to pull in elements of her own life experiences and incorporate them into her novel and characters. I personally loved the book and reread it, at points I couldn’t put it down. I could also really relate to the fact that its a girl who is a junior in high school who moves in the middle of the year, something I experienced my junior year. I would recommend this to any teenager or young adult who enjoys adventure and finding a sense of belonging in the world.
...edibly realistic and are well shown by the criminal’s actions and personalities in this novel. It makes me feel sympathetic for Nancy and feel strong hatred towards people like Bill and Fagin. Nancy gave up her life to protect and save the life of another human being. I find just doing that for somebody is a fantastic gesture and also takes a lot of courage. It definitely shows that individualism is bad for Britain, if Nancy followed individualism then it may have been the completely innocent Oliver that was killed or abused. He also shows that the people of Britain who are born into lower class families are not pure evil and that they definitely have much good within them.
