At the uppermost level of Big Ben, a vibration of a telephone rang in Kelsey’s pocket. In a crackling voice “You need to abort the mission and get out of there. You are completely surrounded” Kelsey’s colleague spoke. The Nazi’s wait anxiously at the bottom of the building in hope to capture Kelsey and take her into custody for going against the second rise of the Nazi Regime. With the clock ticking towards midnight, Kelsey scrambles in search of an escape route out of the parliament building. She spots a group of tanks approaching the building with soldiers wearing gas masks and flame throwers ready to burn the building to ashes. In a quick thought, Kelsey decides to jump onto the fire escape ladder and sneak down the back until she hears …show more content…
She locks the door behind her and waits for several seconds starring in the darkness trying to hear any movements. Kelsey walks across the room with her pistol ready, finger on the trigger. Just as she gazes out the window watching flames arise on the horizon, spot light's beam the building causing the room to shine bright. Kelsey turns around and glimpses the Nazi Leader pointing a handgun at the pimple between her eyebrows. Kelsey lowers her pistol to the ground and holds her hands to the sky. The Nazi Leader speaks in some form of German which becomes inaudible for Kelsey to understand. Then a water droplet falls from Kelsey’s face and she begins to say a prayer. She speaks aloud to cause the leader to lose his focus on what he should be doing, killing her. Conversation comes up through the question of Kelsey asking the leader why he has started this movement once again. The leader replies “I chose to eliminate the weaker humans in our society. With those people gone, our community and world can develop to the next level.” Kelsey decides to yell at the leader while tears running down her face that the leader is wrong to think like that. She believes that everyone was put on this planet for a reason to contribute to society. And that the purpose of the jews might not be prevalent right now, but they will find their spot in society soon. As soon as the argument ceases and tension in the room intensifies, the family Kelsey saved in the woods barges through the door and open fires on the Nazi Leader. Multiple bullets slice through the leader’s body like tissue paper. His body collapses to the ground with a bang and silence strikes the room. Everyone looks around and checks themselves for unnoticeable bullet wounds that might not have stricken them. After all body parts are clean of bullet scratches, they all surround one another with tears of joy knowing
On their way to the village they are stopped by Nazi soldiers who says they must come with them to be relocated. Hannah is the only one who knows what is actually about to happen. She tries to explain why they must not go with the soldiers but the adults explain that they have no choice. The ride on the train lasts for days and several children and infants do not live
In the book Night the character Eliezer faces many challenges and sees many things. But the most prominent feature of all the death camps that Eliezer is in was Dehumanization.Dehumanization is what the S.S. used to keep the jews in line in the concentration camps while they were in a animal like state where it’s every man for himself. Therefore this proves that dehumanization is a process that was used by the SS to keep the Jews in check by using the crematorium, beatings, and executions to make the Jews less human.
This poem is related to night and the idea of not giving up when all seems lost. The people of Sighet never lost hope until the end, sometimes they are ever too optimistic, “Every encounter filled us with joy-yes joy: Thank God! You are still alive!” (pg. 35). When Elie thought about giving up, dying, whether it be in the last few months of Buna, on the death march to Gleiwitz, or the trains to Buchenwald, he did not give up because of his father, which motivated him to keep on surviving and not give up. And what if he were dead, as well? I called out to him. No response. I would have screamed if I could have. He was not moving. Suddenly, the evidence overwhelmed me: there was no longer any reason to live, any reason to fight.” Elie without

Not much has been going on at camp. Every week a group of people get taken away, and they don’t come back. All the adults say that they are taken to the gates of hell. Brother told me that the people were taken away from Auschwitz and reunited with their families in another place far from here. Mama came here with us, but left us to go to another camp. She told us that we would be reunited in the other place. I believed them with all of my heart.

One of the main reasons for learning about history is to understand how to prevent horrible tragedies from re-occurring. This idea is very prevalent in Elie Wiesel’s novel, Night. Night is the Holocaust memoir of a young boy, who was forced to leave his home and everything he knows, simply because of the theology he believed in. He is taken to multiple concentration camps throughout his perils including Auschwitz and Buchenwald, and he miraculously makes it out alive. Wiesel begins the book with a foreword describing the difficult process of publishing his book and also his motivation for writing the memoir. When talking about his reasoning for writing and publishing his memoir, he says, “He has no right to deprive future generations of a past that
