It is with pleasure that I am writing this letter of recommendation for Eli Krout. I have known Eli since he was 10 years old when I first coached his older step-brother in soccer. Eli is someone who on the surface appears to be a thoughtful and focused young man. This trait goes deeper than just on the surface. As anyone gets to know Eli, you will learn of his fun loving attitude that only compliments his resolve to whatever job he takes on. He has been a terrific student in school concentrated on getting as much out of his education as possible. Eli is a kind kid who would help another without pause. He has a very close relationship with his family. I have come to learn there is a tightly knit family dynamic within the home. Eli was
Samuels starts out explaining the background of Elie, a child who has a great love for religion. Then, Nazis come and occupy his native town of Sighet. Although held captured and clueless to where they were going, the Jews were indeed optimistic. They had no reason not to be, the Nazis were treating them as they were of importance. However, the optimism was to come to a halt. After arresting the Jewish leader, the Jews were sent to ghettos, then into camps. It wasn't until they reached Auschwitz where Elie for the first time smelt burning flesh. Then the eight words that Elie couldn't forget, "Men to the left! Women to the right!" He was then left with his father, who for the whole trip he would depend on to survive. It was this, in which made him lose his religiousness. In the months to come Elie and his father lived like animals. Tragically, in the end his father past away, and to amazement Elie had not wept. Samuels did an overall remarkable job on this review; however, there were still some parts that could have been improved.
Physically, Elie basically changes from a healthy human being into a walking skeleton. Jews can be described as “skin and bones”. They were also extremely weak. Being forced to work at their labor camps must have been extremely difficult. The lack of food served at the camps, as well as the poor quality of what is being served, made him that way.
When his father was beat up by the guard or even he was getting beat up by the Kapo. Elie could only think of himself, which is a good thing not wanting to get hurt for others in my opinion. Also, when Rabbi’s son ran away from him I would guess Elie would think of the same thing but instead wanted to protect his father. Then last when Elie’s father was about to die his last words was, “Elizer” which was Elies name. Elie was finally think that his duty is over on protecting his father. Also, Elie also thought, “free at last” which meant his can fend for him. So, his relationship with his father wasn’t good. Cause Elie thought the reason he is alive because of his father. That is why his relationship with his father wasn’t a good
Conrad Jarret is an eighteen years old white male who live with his parent’s Beth and Calvin Jarret in an upper middle class suburban in Chicago Illinois. He is a high school junior also part of the swim team. Within the Jarret family, Beth, Conrad and Calvin all have different problems. Beth is a perfectionist who is unaccustomed with tragedy. Conrad pursuit to find himself, while trying to please the people around him, his father Calvin is cautious about his son and his feelings. Conrad 's mother refuses to forgive him for his suicide attempt, she believes he did it in order to destroy her perfectly ordered life.
Eliezer was a strict Jew who practiced religion and observed all Jewish holidays. As a child he was very devoted and focused all his energy to study Judaism. He grew up loving God with the belief that God is more powerful than anything else in this universe. He believed that with all the power God has, he is capable to put an end to all this awful suffering. Living and witnessing all this misery and have God not do anything about it makes him questions God.
Instead of brushing this feeling off, he decided to face this feeling and wanted to help his father more by finding him some soup. This action shows that Elie is not a brute because he is still capable of feeling empathy and compassion towards his father.
It also shows extreme resilience when Elie’s father passes away. Elie remains living as he did before, and he does not shed a single tear, showing that he is being resilient (Wiesel 112). For a teenager to be as resilient as Elie is through a time like this is astonishing considering anyone else probably would not have been able to keep going when they had to run past the point of exhaustion and act completely normal at a time when his father passes away. Elie Wiesel wrote the book in a way that it showed just how cruel it was, and it allowed the readers to see that this is a serious thing and that it needs to be made sure that it does not happen again. He wanted readers to take away from it exactly what happened within his story, and be fully aware of what went
On March 24, 1976, Peyton was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Archie and Olivia Manning. He was the second of three boys. Cooper and Eli are his siblings. Peyton developed his skills from watching his dad play for the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings. In 1991, Peyton became the starting quarterback for Isidore Newman High in New Orleans where he felt comfortable playing with Cooper, the top receiver. After being recruited by several different colleges, Peyton chose the Tennessee Volunteers. Under Peyton’s leadership, the volunteers steadily climbed to a high national ranking. Also while playing for Tennessee Peyton set forty-two conference, school, and NCAA records. Although he was finished in three years and was expected to turn pro, he chose to stay with Tennessee one more year. In his last year with the Volunteers he led them to the National Championship in the Orange Bowl. The following year Peyton, the number one overall NFL draft pick, became the starting quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts.
On February 2, 2013, 38-year-old, american hero, Chris Kyle was shot and killed at a nearby gun range right outside of Forth Worth, Texas. Eddie Ray Routh was found guilty for the murder of Chris and his friend Chad Littlefield on February 24, 2015. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole. Eddie was medically diagnosed with a personality disorder, psychosis, PTSD, paranoia and schizophrenia. Some people even testify that Routh was mentally insane. Because Routh was not in his right mind, this make me believe that his case should have been ruled not guilty.
Eating Kosher is a practice that is associated with the religion of Judaism. Eli Whitney was born in Westborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts, 8 December 1765. From an early age, he liked to work with his hands. At twelve, he made and repaired violins and had a prosperous nail production business when he was a young teenager during the American Revolution when nails from England were unavailable. He became a young entrepreneur producing long pins for ladies bonnets and walking sticks for gentlemen. He expressed interest in attending Yale, but his step mother made it clear the family would provide no financial help. For four years, Whitney, then 19, read books on his own, worked any jobs he could find and saved his money. Despite a

Eddie Brown was an arena football player who was consistently the best wide receiver in the league, he would eventually go on to be a father as well. With his position came responsibilities such as catching the ball thrown by the quarterback, running his routes, and scoring points. This description is not exclusive when describing Eddie, it actually could be used for his son, Antonio Brown, who is even more successful now than his father ever was or will be. Antonio and his father had much in common, the most important difference is that Eddie played in the Arena League, and Antonio Brown played in the National Football League. Truthfully Antonio Brown is a one of a kind person, and a unique athlete which will only come into our lives every decade or less.
