Semaphore Beach is affected by many factors such as natural processes and human impacts including marine litter and the discharge of stormwater. Therefore, several plans have been employed to ensure that the coast is supported through the method of counteracting erosion. However in the future, many management strategies have been put into consideration as well as the environmental, economic and social impacts as well as the predicted consequences. These impacts include traffic related incidents, noises and air pollution and the disruption of wildlife and the erosion of dunes. A method that should be considered for future management of the beach is the use of a concave sea wall, although efficient, this structure would be quite costly. Without the use of coastal management, Semaphore Beach would be unsupported, therefore negatively being affected by a variety of
It revives our humor and imagination and it gives us a visual reference. Ornamentation has an artistic intention and highlights architectural moments. In architecture, ornamentation can be divided into three main categories. Mimetic is the idea of imitating symbolic or significant forms and forms which have definite meanings. Applied ornamentation tends to add beauty to any structure. However, organic ornamentation focuses mainly on the functions and materials of any building. In the 20th early century, the anti-ornament emerged. Architecture today, is primarily about space. Ornament, on the other hand, has to do with non spatial figuration. The aesthetic functions of ornaments can be reduced to the practical details of a basic building. The entire building can be an ornament, there is no need to add ornament over. Also, today, other means of visual communication have replaced ornamentation which became a dead
I came to regard this porch as one of several features that distinguished Comfort Island as an extraordinary setting. I thought of my tree houses that never offered a better vantage point or a more comfortable place to sit and relax. I’ve never tired of the bird’s eye view of boats and wildlife that comes into focus from that site. It is simply spectacular. Wicker furniture, convenient tables and a railing with a story to tell are among the accouterments that made this venue more like a nest than simply a place to sit and rock a while.

I like the picture Touch by Janine Antoni on page 81. The first element to describe this picture is its form. Its form is a video snapshot and not a painting. The texture element of this picture is a TV screen or paper and ink from a printer. The clouds give the realistic texture of moisture as well as the ocean the texture of water. The color element in this picture is lots of blue in the sky and water. It has blue-green in the water. There is brown in the sand. There is white and gray in the waves and clouds. The space element is open to where the viewer knows there is more to this picture especially on the right and left. The line element in the picture is the horizon and the tight rope the woman is walking together in the same direction.
It was important that I build my small home in this area so that I could control my exposure to typical neighborhood pesticides and fumes. Standard condo materiality and building techniques were also a problem. Some of the design solutions that were employed were radiant heat and consistent texture in the concrete flooring; no VOC’s in structural materials, furnishing, fixtures and equipment; incandescent lighting and circulation fans—without lighting; operable drawers and hardware with levers and large handles; counter top material that was not cold to the touch and passive warmth from the southeastern window exposure; appliances that are easy to manipulate such as a pull out dishwasher; and in general an environment where my body can be calm and at rest. In addition the sauna and massage table provide heat and body
The renovation of the existing space has minor structural implications as new materials are added to the building and the use of the space per the architectural and functional requirements are different than original. An approximate design process, including repainting the exterior of the building was conducted to update the visual appeal from the highway. Also, cosmetic upgrades to the foyer in terms of repainting and possible structural addition would have a lasting effect on the perception of how guests are greeted when entering the hotel.
This island boasts a less touristy experience and you’ll probably be able to find a secluded beachfront even during the summer months. If you’re looking for golden sand and turquoise waters, look no further than Grandes Playas de Corralejo. For those with special needs, there are walkways and ramps to help get around on the sand. This beach even has a team dedicated to assisting disabled travelers so they can enjoy a relaxing day.
Lines are paths or marks left by moving points and they can be outlines or edges of shapes and forms. Lines have qualities which can help communicate ideas and feelings such as straight or curved, thick or thin, dark or light, and continuous or broken. Implied lines suggest motion or organize an artwork and they are not actually seen, but they are present in the way edges of shapes are lined up.
The year of 2012 marked the completion of Frank Gehry’s very first residential project in Asia, the Opus Hong Kong. Coming from a Pritzker prize-winning architect, this residential complex cannot be labeled as just another building. Frank Gehry engraved his distinctive and whimsical style on the building, making it beautifully unique. However, the appeal of this building does not stop on its exterior. Serving its purpose as a residential unit, the building was meticulously designed to fit into the cultural aspect of the potential residents.
Ever since Sunset Beach has been officially opened to the public, there has been a drastic increase of tourists present. Television programs concluded that at least a thousand people visit the beach everyday. Reasons for their stay are that they feel comfortable with the environment that surrounds the beach front, people who are at the beach are joyous and numerous activities to enjoy, and the fresh scent of the sparkly waters, make the visitors feel calm and pleasurable. So I decided to take a trip there.

Human beings are susceptible to the force of nature. They had to make shelter for themselves. Material was one of the most basic tools to create shelter. By development of building construction, selection and use of materials also developed. The relationship between the architecture and the materials before invention of modern materials was simple and generally naturally [1]; in the past, architects always use tradition materials according their experimental skills. For choosing structural materials, they had attention to important factors such as availability (local materials) and harmony with climate and culture [2], although this way was forward with feedback. But this relationship was not continuing simply.
So, if you are planning a beach holiday with the kids, utilise these eight ways to make it easier.
Far across the sparkling blue lies a shimmer of silver. Rustles of waves blow sea breeze into my nose on the warm sand. I crinkle my toes deeper below feeling the warmth of each grain squeeze in between. The sun beats down sinking into my pores; soaking up the warmth. Back behind me I can hear children laugh as they run across the sand with their parents chasing right on their tails. The palm trees sway with the slight breeze and the rustle brings a feeling of peacefulness and relaxation. This is perfection; my dream vacation. On a small island off the coast of Puerto Vallarta is where I experience the breathtaking views around me. After so long I finally rise to my feet and begin walking along the beach. With each wave my feet squish in the newly watered sand and then back to touching nothing but dry. Every so often a seashell will appear and I’ll reach down to rub the sand clean and stare at the design. As I look out beyond the vast crystal blue water there are wale tales breaking the surface and throwing drips of water into the air. Movement of all sorts breaks the perfect glass...
