American Dream “El Sueño Americano!”, the American dream is defined as every US citizen should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work and determination. But is it really true? Yes it’s true and it’s a reality. The American Dream is a reality that even Steve Jobs’ parents introduced to him and he was successful in achieving that American dream and much more. The American dream is possible but only achievable to those who truly look for it and who hope and never lose faith of that dream. While some may say that the American dream is only for the American citizens that is not fully true because most people from other countries see America as a land of opportunity and determination of surpassing their parents or grandparents, a place of prosperity and most of all a safe home for their children. Most American citizens hope to be greater in social class and perhaps be more than classified into a social class (Fitzgerald), or to just own a house because most these citizens are not born into a “wealthy family”, they do not have everything they need as they are growing up and many of their parents have to work for long hours (Johnson). Americans that are surrounded in a well suited economy today, tend to believe that every American citizen has the same style and living accommodations as they do but they do not understand the struggle most American citizens have in order to become wealthy, to find a job, or to even own a house (Krasner).
