It got better as times goes on, and it’s better than what it was during and after slavery. Kids go through racism more than adults, Because when we go to school we see a lot of different people and we we meet a lot of new people everywhere, that's why kids go through racism than adults. Many blacks are sometimes accused of committing crimes which some of them do due to poverty. Most African-American kids are homeschooled due to racism at schools. People view racism based on where the society they’re from and people want to raise awareness for that. Al most everyone goes through racism everyday. europeans wanted to take over america but it was already taken by the native americans, so the Europeans left to take over a different country.

Back in the days they were focused on who’s white and who’s not . All of the blacks who live in United state have experience racism once in their lifetime or maybe as many as you can imagine. Racism goes on everyday in every part of the world. There’s poverty in black communities, if blacks think culture will be a role in black communities. Something about black Americans that brings them back against poverty which is what they believe in .

Unfortunately, racism still exists today, although it may be less aggressive and intense. These situations are extremely unjust and unacceptable. The three main points discussed all relate to racism, which is unfair and should not occur.
It is not difficult to document that poor children suffer a disproportionate share of deprivation, hardship, and bad outcomes. More than 16 million children in the United States – 22% of all children – live in families with incomes below the federal poverty level – $23,550 a year for a family of four. (Truman, 2005) Living in poverty rewires children 's brains and reports show that it produces prolonged effects. Also, growing up in a community with dangerous streets, gangs, confused social expectations, discouraging role models, and few connections to outsiders commanding resources becomes a burden for any child. The concern about the number of children living in poverty arises from our knowledge of the problems children face because of poverty.
Despite the fact the 1800s was two centuries ago, racism is still persistent in the 21st century. Even with the election of the first black president, Obama is biracial, yet he is still recognized as black. Many black Americans thought racism would cease to exist with Obama in office. The color of skin and race still lives on, after all the United States is multicultural. As in the 1800s, racism had astronomically effects on society; nonetheless American citizens have more laws and agencies to safeguard against racism. Remember, slavery is a part of America’s history and it can’t be erased like an error. Harriet Jacobs wrote, “There are wrongs which even the grave does not bury.” Despite the abolishment of slavery, racism has simply adapted to the changes within society.
They have strong religious orientation, strong since of pride but don’t like to admit when they need help. The poverty most Black Americans cultures have impacts education and self-esteem. Children who are living in a household with low-income and living in poverty are more at risk of illnesses and poor diet. Only people who are like this are Black, Indian and Latino shown on the table (“Children Living in Poverty”) on page 101. Latino has 63% of children living in poverty from birth to age 6, along with African American being 64% and American Indian being 68%. There are so many people who lives poorly and work very hard and still remains poor, there’s adults in each household who works more than one job just to make ends meet. In fact, such ‘working poor” families make up the largest proportion of low-income families with children (Wolpert 2005 N.P). Black families teach their children to always have respect for others and themselves and to always listen. Black American cultures take education as a serious thing because they want to see their child have a successful future without being looked at as a statistic. It states in reports that Black students does not do as well in school like White students due to lack of living and low- income families. The majority of blacks in America still live in extreme, deep poverty and a lot of them never receive a proper education. According to Phil Jackson’s article “Remembering the Millions the American Dream Left,” 30% black Americans in Illinois live in poverty while only 8% white Americans do. One way African Americans can move out of poverty is by getting a better education but because the blacks have such low income, they can’t afford a better education. Therefore, there is a rare chance they will ever get out of poverty.
As a result, racism still exists today , african americans vs. whites as well as vice versa. People are constantly discriminated or passed over for jobs because of race, gender or ethnicity. The society we live in today face challenges that we have never faced before. Many people have the opportunity of attending schools, when back in the face the possibilities were very slim. Ironically, people are so well educated yet, lack integrity, character, accountability and virtues.
Prior to World War I there was much social, economic, and political inequality for African Americans. This made it difficult for African Americans to accept their own ethnicity and integrate with the rest of American society. By the end of World War II however African Americans had made great strides towards reaching complete equality, developing their culture, securing basic rights, and incorporating into American society.
The author questions the fact, whether African American men are actually a criminal threat or a victims of society. “Black men are typically constructed as criminals when in truth they much more likely to be victimized by American Society” (BMCV, pg. 1). Most fail to realize that African American men can commit crime but they also can be victims of crime and a majority of the time they are the victims. Another idea he questioned is, why are more African American men considered to be perpetrators of crime rather than victims. “There is profuse media coverage of violent crime by African American men, however, the media pay disproportionately more attention to whites and women” (BMCV, pg. 2). Everyone knows what the word poverty means. It means poor, unable to buy the necessities to survive in today's world. We do not realize how easy it is for a person to fall into poverty: A lost job, a sudden illness, a death in the family or the endless cycle of being born into poverty and not knowing how to overcome it. There are so many children in poverty and a family's structure can effect the outcome. Most of the people who are at the poverty level need some type of help to overcome the obstacles. There are mane issues that deal with poverty and many things that can be done to stop it.
As time goes on, people have gone to great lengths to try to improve relations with blacks, and to fix the errors of the past. Laws have been made to try to give African Americans the same opportunities as whites, but as hard as people try, there is always going to be some ignorant people who will not obey these laws and make no efforts to be friends with them. If parents teach their children at young ages about racism, there might be a chance for the upcoming generations to live in a society where people are not judged by the color of their skin.
The Natural Support of African Americans in poverty is to lower food bills in families by cooking instead of buying fast foods. In our world, today there are many different cultures with their own beliefs, values, morals, and challenges. With each of those things comes diversity between all of the different cultures and ethnic groups. Each culture is unique in its own way. The number one problem in for Black societies is the lack of economical development. True, there are Black owned business, but the businesses do not provide longevity in the communities. For example, in my community there was a soul food restaurant that just open up and before you could blink an eye it seem as if some on else other than Black American bought out the owners. Eventually that business will be passed down through the bloodline of whoever bought it and the person who has sold it has depleted the profit that they made form the business. That profit would have bestowed money that could have provided different venues of business therefore supplying more jobs in the community. This nation has a problem: more of its citizens rely on the federal government for help than to support themselves with a full time job. Poverty has many negative effects on the people who suffer from it and on the economy. Everyone needs to be made aware of poverty and the many negative effects it has on people. There are things that could be done to help reduce the amount of people that are in poverty. Reducing poverty would decrease health risks, strengthen the middle class, and help the democracy.
The term poverty originates form the meaning that one family or person is too poor to afford basic necessities to sustain a natural way of life. Poverty comes in many forms in this day and age.The world that we live in today is plagued with a substantial amount of lower class families that are torn and plagued by the ever increasing negatives such as drugs, violence and lack of nominal income to sustain a healthy lifestyle. This creates a portal for the next generation to bear and come out. How does poverty affect not only the individual but the families and the children of that individual?
