It is my passion that the meaning of life does not dwell in the duration of time that one can live or the material abundance that one can obtain, but in the prosperity and the admirableness of life itself. Over time many things in my life have changed. But one thing remains clear, that is, I will always insist on doing what I want and like to do and hope that my accomplishments can be helpful to the life of others. Therefore, I perceive this as the only way whereby I can appraise the value of my life.

Leadership diversity is the major attribute that I will bring to this program. I have passed many paths to get here and so I believe that these experiences will provide the success of what I will offer. My goal is to not only to help the students and teachers in learning about 21st century learning, but to lead them to a new academic consciousness .Lately, I was a participant in a summer school abroad, and we had given many tasks, which one of them related with my study plan with the intention to identify who we are, what we want to become and what we are doing in order to accomplish that goal. Essentially, this helped me to embrace my goals and objectives in life and career. So, completing the nature of this program, I believe this will influence not only the youth but all in our community. So, I won the scholarship and then in summer I start working in order to manage my expenses. Even that, I face with this challenge made me stronger and powerful in my dreams which I want to pursue. Despite this , I have always been active in many projects, by participating in seminars, trainings, workshops, but one of which was more interesting and feel enthusiastic about was my one minute video that I created by showing my concern in my state, and this is the reason why I want to attend a master’s degree abroad. I believe that the skills and knowledge gained would help me to contribute in the development of the Republic of Kosovo. Moreover, I am particularly looking forward to the Educational Leadership courses. After I complete my PhD, my eventual goal is to become a professor in my state in a university where I can perform learning methods and teaching. While education has quickly become my main goal, my teaching and leadership experience have influenced me that I am appropriate to a career as an educator. I think that I will highly contribute to the system education in my country which can provide a core understanding of my teaching abilities. I am conscious of the hard work and perseverance necessary for education and I know that it is not always as exciting as the results seem to indicate. However, I am sure that my
Leading organizations of school administrators offer educators various opportunities to encourage educators to become leaders. No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) has mandated that leaders be better prepared for the task of providing quality education to all. NCLB “… is forcing all educational stakeholders to face the weakness of contemporary school leadership and is making it impossible to ignore the need for higher quality principals” (Hale & Moorman, 2003, p.1). It is believed that all educators can be and are leaders in their own right. A leader is a visionary and has the ability to inspire others to aspire to greatness. Of the numerous opportunities that are offered, those that are most beneficial include but are not limited to leadership training programs, professional development, and creating shared leadership opportunities for teachers to become leaders. The systems “…that produce our nation’s principals are complex and interrelated – and governed by the states. Each state establishes licensing, certification and re-certification” (Hale & Moorman, 2003, p.1). States use the ISLLC standards “…as the framework for preparation programs and in service professional development of school superintendents, principals, and other leaders” (Hale & Moorman, 2003, p.3).
I entered the Leadership Program with a narrow mind. I thought that I knew the expectations of leadership along with everything that leadership entails. After all, how difficult could it be to persuade others to see your personal opinion and then, get them to follow your dreams? All one needed to do was be passionate about a cause and have good public speaking techniques. Little did I know, there is a lot more to being a leader than meets the eye. By participating, I was subjected to various leadership characteristics and practices: time management, conflict management, ethical and moral decision making, valuing diversity, and creative thinking.
It is my belief that anyone with a desire to change the world would be fortunate to work in education. By sharing my vision with others, and building upon my skills while seeking constant growth, I strive to take an approach to leadership that fosters an effective, nurturing educational environment for the entire school community. By creating this type of environment, as well as through embracing and enhancing my leadership strengths, it is my goal to contribute to society by inspiring people to become better not only as teachers and students, but as compassionate human beings.
Education develops future endeavors; leading teacher to commit to lay foundational skills that build upon each year for students. Through the elementary, secondary and high level each person has the opportunity to develop wondrous relationship of learning. Through leadership
As a person who is for the most part uncomfortable with change, it is important that I find ways be a leader in a world that is ever changing. In order to be the best and most prepared leader as possible, it is necessary to be aware of one’s core identity and the values, talents, and strengths that are included in this. Consistent with the indications of Vaill’s term, “permanent white water”, the tendency of the world to change is unavoidable and “continual”. We as leaders must find ways to adapt and acclimate ourselves to these situations. Through the discovery of my core values, talents, leadership style, I will be able to develop an action plan to transform my talents into strengths and use leadership techniques to best accommodate my ambitions.
I would like to apply to the Master’s Program in Educational Leadership. My goal is to continue my studies and successfully achieve my career goal of becoming a College educational leader.
In building leadership capacity it is important to ensure that there is broad-based skillful participation. We want the students, parents, community, and staff to be participants. This is important because it allows for staff to take responsibility for the growth and development for not only themselves but for their peers in doing the work of leadership. It is helpful to have the community working together towards the common goal as opposed to ...
Leaders will no matter what have an influence on our world. They have missions, dreams and ambition, and with these things they are bound to go far. For leaders, what makes these dreams come true is having strong qualities such as leadership practices, values and strengths. If developed and learned how to use correctly, these are what take leaders to the next level and accomplish great things. In the following paper I will talk about leadership in our ever-changing world, explore my leadership practices, values and strengths as well as elaborate on the goals I have made to challenge myself as a leader.
Is a leader as defined in the Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary, merely one who leads - synonymous with a boss? Or something more? I believe that a leader is much more than that and can be defined in any number of ways. In attempting to define a leader personally, I will use both myself and others as examples.
In developing my own educational leadership model (MELM) I began with establishing what I believe the goal of education should be, since leaders by definition are leading people towards something. The goal of education is to effectively teach students the essential skills and knowledge they will need to establish a productive, positive, self-sufficient life where they can be active members of their communities. An effective leader, while working towards this goal will need to consider the present conditions and demands of the environment they are a part of. In the field of education, both internal and external factors are of crucial importance when developing a plan to lead for success. However, one must note the variables in education are different than those the business sector face, for example; student performance, ability and cultural differences; availability/condition of supplies and materials; goal; educator’s capability, views and attitudes; conditionality of economic support; openness/hostility of influencing communities; state or government performance mandates. A leader who knows where they (students, school, district, community) are now, can approach goals more clearly and develop more effective strategies to arrive at them.
