As complex as the topic of art is, I define art as an act of expressing our feelings, thoughts, and observations in our daily lives. Famous French artist, Edgar Degas, had once said, “ Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” In other words, creating art, is the ability to open a person’s eye-mind, allowing them to interpret their own meaning. As an artist, having the ability to make people see what they want them to see enhances the audience’s ability to appreciate what has been created. Let’s say I wanted to celebrate an achievement and decided to bake a cake for my family, as a way to celebrate my cheerful mood. In 2003, the song was published along with the music video, where in the middle of the video, as the artists sang the chorus of their song where is the love, they also had children of different ethnicity mouth the words, emphasizing “where is the love”. I first heard the song in middle school, and from then on, I just loved listening to the lyrics because of the powerful message and chills it left
