He was born and raised in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bushwick on April 3’ 1961, to the parents Lillian, a telephone operator and Charles, a police officer Eddie had many hardships in his life but he got through them, he was a very strong man. Early Years He stayed with his dad in the projects when he was little. He lost his dad when he was eight and his mom went into the hospital when his dad died. He had no choice but to go foster care for a year until his mom got better. After his mom’s recovery, she got married to Vernon Lynch. Soon after the marriage her, murphy, and his brother moved in with her husband in African- American suburb Roosevelt, Long Island. Murphy did nothing but watch TV when he had moved so he developed a great skill for impressions. His mother always told him “you never talk in your own voice”, she said that because he was always acting as a character such as buzz bunny.
