Eagle Scout Ambition

As an Eagle Scout candidate, my ambition is to serve others while pursuing a life of prosperity, happiness, and leadership, whether it is through education, religious duties, scouting, or careers. My life purpose is to be seen as a model or leader to others while remaining satisfied with my current situations in life. I resolve to stay resilient through any obstacles thrown in my path to achieve my ambitions and life purpose. I will strive to be respected by those that know me in all of the things I participated through leading from behind (following the principles of servile leadership) and applying all that I have learned over the years in Scouts and my life in general.

During my time in scouts, I have assumed a position of a leader in

many situations/organizations outside of scouting. In my club swimming group, North West Austin Makos, I have used my experience and learnings in boy scouts along with my 4 year experience with the Makos organization to act as one of the leaders of the club by giving instructions, guidance, or tips to those who are in need of them. I am also one of the oldest members in the group, so younger members look up to me and other older members as an example. My swim coach is the main leader of the group, but some of the swimmers in the group act as a junior leader to the other swimmers. My club is hosting its very first leadership elections soon, and I plan to run for an important position in the club.
In my church small group, I have also taken a position of leadership amongst my friends, whether in terms of reverence or leadership in general. During small group, I lead the group in opening or closing prayer. I also plan to apply for a volunteer job of leadership in my church, not just in my small group, which will be a good leadership learning experience for me.
In conclusion, I plan to live a life of leadership through serving others and through following the scout motto, slogan, oath, and law, throughout my daily life.
