Enrolling in the Army ROTC Program will allow me to develop into a better person with the education and education that it will provide me, not only applying to my service in the Army but also in the civilian world. Above all I have a strong desire to serve the greatest country in the world.
One of my objectives in life was to become an Eagle Scout. Along the way I learned the importance of honor, respect, service, duty, integrity, and loyalty. I learned to serve through the many projects that I have completed through my time in scouts bettering my community through my Eagle Scout project in which members of my unit and I have donated our time to give back to the community that we live in. I have also given back by working with my church through food drives, working at the soup kitchen, and helping those in need.
Rising through the ranks of scouting I realized the importance of the Golden Rule and that treating others with respect will earn you respect, This became important when I became a leader in my unit because I remembered how I admired the leaders that respected me thus I worked to earn the respect of the younger scouts

Running the unit I learned how to organize members in order to complete tasks and teach new skills. Another activity that I also learned the importance of teamwork is baseball. In baseball everyone has their strengths and weaknesses but we are all one team and must work to achieve one common goal of victory anyway that we can. This translates to the army because everyone has a strength and we use our strengths as one team to achieve a common goal . I learned that laying down the sacrifice bunt to move the runner over into scoring position in order to benefit the team was more important and honorable than swinging for the fences and trying to hit a homerun and gain all the glory for myself.
