Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 02:43 city units were dispatched to a call of a DV assault in progress. It was reported that the suspect had a brick and attempted to hit the victim. The suspect was also reported to be injured in the face.
I arrived on scene and was hailed down by Ryan Lammers (a witness and the RP) who was in the front yard with the victim Shawn Lammers (his brother). They were both dressed in night/sweat clothes and were cold from being in the cold air. Ryan was in sleeveless sweat shirt and wearing an arm immobilizer talking on the phone to JeffCom. He hung up and told me what had happened while he was there.
I asked them both where the firearm was and he said it was in the vehicle (he motioned to his SUV). I asked him where

There was obvious blood drops all over the step and ground with several vertical blood drops on the brick itself. It was apparent that the blood had dripped straight down and there was no sign of moving blood spatter.
I observed a female shadow in the window of the kitchen and it turned to me and I saw the female suspect Dana and she was holding something in her hands. I motioned for her to come to the door. I went to the side of the door and waited for her to come to the door. I tried the door knob and it was locked. A moment later the door opened from the inside and Dana looked at me from the cracked door. I looked at her and immediately saw that her right brow was swollen and had blood trails down the side of her face and I could see the obvious injury to her right eye brow.
I could smell the odor of intoxicating liquor and could tell she was very intoxicated, by the way she was looking at me. Her eyes were pink and bloodshot, droopy and she slurred her words when she answered me, after I asked her to step out of the door

I went in and got the spare key and was moving the vehicle out of the driveway and she did not want me to move her vehicle. It was at this point that I got out of the vehicle, and Ryan came over by me in time to see Dana pick up a two hole cinder block and start to walk over towards me, but because she was so intoxicated she dropped the brick and it hit her face and she fell down. The brick broke all over the carport. I did not see blood on her face right away. It wasn’t until she had gone back into the house that we saw the blood on her face. That’s when we called 911 and advised the police she had tried to assault us with the
We were presented with many facts that all pointed to Mr. Washburn as the murder. In the house all of the entrances were thoroughly inspected by authorities, and they found no sign of ransacking. “[They] examined all the locking mechanisms, all the doors and windows. In [their] opinion there was no evidence of any forced entry” (P.81). When police looked for fingerprints, “They were all of the Washburn family and the maid” (P.81). There was no trace of an outside party; somebody usually in the Washburn house committed the murder. While in the living room, an officer found a drop of blood. The evidence technician was called the next night to run some tests. “He sprayed the living room carpet with luminol. It is a luminous spray, and when it comes in contact with blood it illuminates” (P.82). To both men’s surprise the whole living room was illuminating. After spraying further the men found a trail from the living room through the kitchen to the garage. In the closet the men found a wet mop, which was tested for blood and also came back positive. Somebody tried to clean his or her bloody mess, and try to save himself. The physical evidence proves the killer was somebody who was familiar to the Washburn household.
That night, many witnesses reported having seen a man changing the tire of his van and waving any possible help away angrily while others reported seeing a woman wandering around the side of the dangerous highway. More witnesses reported that Kenneth and his wife were having many violent disputes at their home that usually resulted in Kenneth pursuing an angry Yvonne around the block. The most compelling evidence against Mathison, however, is purely scientific. Detective Paul Ferreira first noticed that the extensive blood stains inside the Mathison van. After hearing Mathison’s original account, he summoned the assistance of famed forensic expert Dr. Henry Lee to analyze what he thought was inconsistent evidence. Blood stains on the paneling and the spare tire in the cargo area reveal low-velocity blood stains meaning that the blood probably dripped from Yvonne’s head onto the floor. The stains found on the roof and steering wheel were contact transfer patterns probably caused by Mathison’s bloody hands. Blood stains on the driver’s side of the van were contact-dripping patterns which indicate that Mathison touched the inside of the van multiple times before and after moving his wife’s body. The final groups of blood stains on the instrument panel of the van were medium-velocity stains which show investigators that Mathison probably struck his wife at least once in the front seat causing the blood to fly from her open head wound. The enormous amounts of blood inside the van lead prosecutor Kurt Spohn to investigate the Mathison case as a murder instead of a misdemeanor traffic violation.
The first eyewitness, Kevan Baker had stopped for gas he saw an unknown man in a flannel shirt inside the gas station approaching Mrs. Lopez and trying to strangle her by the hair and taking her to the back room of the station. The man suddenly saw Baker witnessing and released Wanda’s hair and went up to Baker warning him “ I got a gun. Get back, Don’t mess with me.” After that the man ran away and Baker reported that the man ran in an east direction from the store. Before Lopez was on the ground she yelled “help me, help me” and Baker attempted to help and ran in the back of store to get paper towel to stop the bleeding, until the police and paramedics arrived. The second eye witness was George Aguirre. Aguirre had stopped as well for gas exactly at 8 pm. As he was filling up his van with gas, he saw a man standing outside of the gas station store, wearing dar...
Last week, Katera was taken into temporary custody and later released to Centerstone of Illinois. Kaella reported an argument ensued after Katera was denied permission to go to a friend’s residence located in Harrisburg over the weekend. Kaella moved from Harrisburg to her current address a few months ago. The argument started inside the residence. Kaella was in her bedroom and Katera was in her bedroom. Katera entered her mother’s bedroom screaming and yelling. Kaella could not control her daughter’s behavior. Katera hit her mother on the backside of the torso with a pot taken from the kitchen and threatened to kill her. Kaella remanded her young son to run into the kitchen and gather all the knives and kitchen utensils so that Katera could not get to them. At this point, Kaella called 911 for help. Kaella ordered Katera to go outside until the police arrived. Katera went outside and took out her anger on the vehicle. I did not observe any obvious damage to the vehicle that appeared
Although later investigation proved that there are some other men who look similar to the stretches but the police didn’t bother to do further investigation because all they needed was someone to place the blame on. Tommy Ward, known to police because of prior criminal record, was called in for questioning. He was asked where he was on Saturday night and he said that he was fishing with Karl Fontenot and later at a party till 4 A.M. Karl Fontenot was also asked to come for questioning, but he never did. Both of them were cleared because both of their hairs do not match the suspects. Then one day Jeff Miller, a young man came in the police station. He told the police that two women, who had been at a party the night Haraway disappeared, saw Tommy Ward leaving the party in a pickup truck, which he borrowed from his friend Jannette Roberts. When he came back to the party, he was crying and told his friends that he raped and killed a girl from a store and now he feels terrible about it. This information was given by two women because Jeff Miller was not at the party. These questions remain unclear of why these two women did not come forward on their own? Or why did they
During the police investigation, it was said that the crime could have been some sort of sexual assault by a serial killer, but there was no trauma on the boys anuses found by the coroner. Most of the clothes were found in the water next to the bodies, but instead of being torn all of the clothes were turned inside out. Two of the three pairs of underwear were never found, nor were Christopher Byers missing parts. It’s said that serial killers usually take something of the victims, but I’m not convinced Echols, Baldwin or Misskelley would do anything like that. Also at the scene, no blood or weapons were found anywhere around the area. The day after the bodies were discovered, Damien Echols was quest...
When Tyler 17 and TJ were running in the woods, they were trying not to hit anything weird like 18 snakes in the trees. When Tyler and TJ got to Lauren, there was someone chasing 19 her in the distance. So the three decided to go towards it. When the three got closer 20 they could make out what it was and it was a human figure. The figure got right up 21 to them and then they knew they were in trouble. It was Jason from Friday The 13th. 22 Tyler and TJ were smart they ran when they recognized him. Lauren stood there in 23 complete shock and shaking, but she wasn’t shaking much longer that’s because 24 Jason rose his chainsaw and cut her head right off. Now, he was off to find Tyler and 25 TJ, but little did he know Tyler and TJ saw the whole murder. They stood behind him 26 as he rose his headless body to look in the distance to find the two. Tyler and TJ 27 tackled Jason down to the ground punching and kicking Jason until he was knocked 28 out. The two boys tried to find help and were able to locate two chinese police 29 officer. When they got back to where they knocked out Jason, he was not there. The 30 four were looking around and all of sudden they heard a branch break. They got 31 scared and were freaking out. Two detectives were assigned to the case: Harry Hanson and Finis Brown. [2] When they and the police arrived at the crime scene, it was already swarming with people, gawkers and reporters. The entire situation was out of hand and crowded, everyone trampling all over any hopes for good evidence. [2] One thing they did report finding was a nearby cement block with watery blood on it, tire tracks and a heel print on the ground. There was dew under the body so they knew it had been set there just after 2 a.m. when temperatures dropped to 38 degrees.
When the first responder got to the scene he adimatately meet the 911 caller, who lead him to a car in an apartment parking lot. The car doors were closed and all of the windows were fogged. The police officer used his flashlight to see inside of the car before opening the door. He found a young African American woman who had been shot several times. The officers quickly called for backup, investigators and medical personnel. While awaiting for their arrival he secured the crime scene with caution tape, creating an initial perimeter setup as discussed in lecture two. Once everyone arrived he left it to them to search the car while he talked to the 911 caller, witnesses and others who had information on who had been present in the car. The investigators were able to collect physical evidence of bullets and cartage casings that were found outside the vehicle and inside the vehicle on the floorboard of the driver’s side. The team determined the bullets came from a 40 caliber. Other types of physical evidence that were found on the scene were the bloody clothing on the victim, the victim’s cell phone and fibers in the car from the driver’s side. personnel at the scene crime took several photographs, powered test for finger prints and did a blood spatter analysis. Stewart’s autopsy revealed that she had been shot at close range in the left hand once and in the
The type of blood spatter is a transfer stain. A transfer stain is when a wet bloody surface comes in contact with another surface. Limitations of blood spatter is that it is inconsistent in reconstructing the very same blood spatter pattern. Reconstructing the blood spatter pattern is trying to mimic or imitate the pattern of the blood spatter. Other inconsistencies would be results from different people in the group would not be the same because someone could have made a mistake which means the results could vary from person to
First off I would like to say eyewitness testimony is very questionable the human mind is very complexed and there are many issues with eyewitness testimony. One factor of eyewitness testimony was poor encoding in the brain or memory at the time of the event. Which means our mind did not process the memory correctly or has changed it in any way. When most people are endangering them only see the danger, not the person that is causing the danger or harm to them. The mind tries to focus on getting a solution to get out of the danger without death survival instinct kicks in fight or flight. The mind process and vision in many ways and fills in what it cannot see. In a bad situation
Unfortunately, the violence did not stop there, as just later that night, during the early morning on February 8, also around 2 A.M, a shooter fired at a squad car that was parked only a mile away from where Mosby’s truck was parked. Thankfully, no officers were harmed. That shooter has yet to be caught and police are asking for information in this case as
There are two witnesses of the crime. At the junction of the robbery Mavis came to the post office to send a parcel, once she has seen the crime she fainted and collapsed in the doorway. Charlie after seen Mavis made the second shoot in the crime scene to the window. When Bert was trying to drag Mavis aside he cuts his hand on some of the glass on the floor. Johne saw the incident and tried to stop them and Ali hit John on the head with the butt of the gun and fired in his leg. Wilfred a retired soldier saw perpetrators during the perpetrators were changing cars and informed to the police.
I can see a crack of light coming from under the bathroom door. I keep hearing a strange sound, almost like a hurt puppy. As I walk closer, I see a dark puddle on the floor. Suddenly, I am very afraid. I slowly open the door. “Mommy, Mommy, are you ok?” My mother looked at me and cried, “Dial 911, Darling! Hurry, Honey, Hurry!” There is so much blood—on the floor, on her clothes, and on her hands. I can hear the sirens now. Mommy goes for a ride in the ambulance. My three day old baby brother and I have to stay with the neighbor until Daddy comes and picks us up. What happened to my mother?
In the beginning, (point of entry) the door was locked from the inside and the suspect did not have a key to the apartment. The castings from the scratches on the door could determine what type of tool was used. As you walk into the first room, which was the living room, the victim’s wallet is located in the middle of the floor. In the kitchen floor, there are blood drops, which indicate a sign of struggle. Also, there is a knife on the floor. The flashlight on counter contains a fingerprint and blood residue. The fingerprint on the flashlight would be able to confirm it was used by the suspect for self-defense. In the bedroom, at the end of the bed there is a bloody footprint on the rug. There are also blood spots
