Albus Dumbledore has a Character Number of 1, a Heart Number of 5, and a Social Number of 5. I feel like these numbers work well with who Dumbledore was as a person. Having a character number of 1 means he is a good leader. We see that throughout his history. No matter where he was, he quickly rose to a leadership position, both as a student and in his professional career. He was also very original and creative which he showed multiple times. One time in particular I can think of is how he hid the Sorcerer’s Stone in the Mirror of Erised. About that particular thought he said: “That is one of my more brilliant ideas. And between you and me, that is saying something.” Dumbledore’s heart and social number are both number 5. This means that
Ronald Takaki is one of the foremost-recognized scholars of multicultural studies and holds a PhD. in American History from the University of California, Berkeley. As a professor of Ethnic Studies at the same university, he wrote A Different Mirror: a History of Multicultural America as a fantastic new telling of our nation’s history. [Concluding (So what) paragraph: Theatricality and the power of kingship. (Tie Queen Elizabeth I's success through performance with Richard's theatricality/lack of theatricality.]
The Things They Carried, written by Tim O’Brien, is not just a book about what soldiers carried during the Vietnam War, but a book about what they carried with them for the rest of their lives. The book also describes the traumatizing deaths which caused many soldiers to start to blame themselves.

The close reading is from The Odyssey by Homer in book nine lines 1-33. In this paper, one could see Odysseus goes full circle of emotions throughout the lines. Before this book starts Odysseus was lead to the palace of Alcinous, the king of the Phaeacians. Once he was there he plead for help from the Queen to get back to his land. The King thought Odysseus was a god but Odysseus put that to rest by saying he was a mortal. That evening, while the King and Queen were talking to Odysseus, the Queen noticed that he was wearing her daughter’s clothes. This lead to him being questioned by the Queen. At the end of the questioning the Queen was so impressed by him that the King offers Odysseus his daughter’s hand in marriage. The next morning, they
Even though Francis Drake didn’t go to school as a child, he was still very witty. Francis could navigate a boat at a young age, which required a certain level of intelligence. Another reason that showed he was smart was when he was in danger when sailing, Francis could stay calm and was able to think quickly in stressful situations. He was very smart because he knew how to be a successful farmer and merchant. Even though he had many traits this is one of
...ay, but is slow to think for himself and is very simple minded. He represents the working classes major weakness, the blind belief of a non- existent, kind natured, and fair political system. When he meets a pathetic death at the glue plant it showcases the betrayal of the pigs that represent elitists taking advantage of the working classes. Along with these few are many other characters of equal allegorical significance.
Not to sound too much of a fangirl, but if I was in the world of Harry Potter, the Sorting Hat would have without a doubt put me in Ravenclaw. I have been known for my voracious appetite for reading and learning new topics. I also am know to be very strong-willed, sometimes even obstinate, which has helped me overcome challenges in my academic career. Most of all, I am a humanist in philosophical sense that I want my legacy of doing some good in the world. That is why it has been my life’s goal to earn a Ph.D., and I have learned through various life experiences that I want to do so in the field of Public Administration concentrating on Law and Public Policy.
The Stonehenge at Salisbury Plains has been shrouded in mystery even before the time of Christ, but the truth of the matter is that nobody truly knows how this monument came to be. The origins of this monument range from logical theories to totally far fetched science fiction and middle age theories. This site has been around for over 4 millennia, but before the stones were even erected or on British land, it was used as a burial site. Then comes the weird theories, like Merlin from the King Arthur tales using his powers to move all of the stones into their formation or extraterrestrials coming down from outer space and giving knowledge to the ancient people in the area. Aside from these theories that lack any form of logical reasoning, the most widely accepted theory is that the monument was created as a religious shrine for the Druids of the area.
Pike is inspirational because he believes that no matter what, Keep trying even if it’s tough and never let fears take over dreams. This is all said in his famous quote “ All Passions, No limits”. He is enthusiastic and encourages everyone to have a growth mindset. He is so spirited despite his one false leg and his memories at the hut being ruined. He understands that if you practice and try hard you can do anything.William inspires me because he thinks that all great leaders need courage, resilience, and teamwork.
Throughout the book, Huck is labeled as a huge troublemaker, and someone you should never talk to. In reality, all of Huck’s risks have either been for his own happiness, or for other’s safety. Huckleberry Finn is not a bad person, he just takes risks others are afraid to. Huck is caring and will do what is best for whom he considers his friend, he is by far one of the best characters in The Adventures of Tom
Voldemort's intelligence was prominent when he created the horcruxes, the way he manipulated people, and how he could tell if somebody was lying or telling the truth just by looking at them. Voldemort created seven horcruxes to hide his soul which has never been done until he did it. Not only was Voldemort smart with his dispersing of his soul, but he also could speak a language known as parseltongue which is an almost certain mark of a dark lord. The other characters that can speak parseltongue are Dumbledore and Harry Potter. Voldemort's strong sense of leadership and dominance in the world led people to follow his every move and made them easy targets to manipulate. He manipulated people to follow his pure blood supremacy group despite
While he was extremely smart, many predict him to have been extremely disconnected from the outside world. If someone had not yet met him, and simply based Einstein off of on-paper criteria, the person would more then likely be let down. Although he was intelligent in many areas of life, his emotional intelligence was not up to par. It is almost as if his intelligence over powered his interaction skills. While IQ can bring some success, EQ will bring success as well as happiness and those must go together for someone to have total success in life. Emotional intelligence is important for effective communication No matter the circumstance, communication is key to any situation. Without the ability to communicate, no relationship can be made whether is is a professional or personal one. Emotional intelligence will impact every day challenges of a person’s life. Self-awareness is improved when a person has a higher EQ. These people are more likely to know about themselves and have high self-esteem. This is because they understand and are able to control their thoughts and actions. EQ can assist with self-management. One must be able to control their emotions, reach goals, and have certain leadership skills that can be used in various environments (Segal, 2015.) When referring to success in life, emotional intelligence will be one of the biggest contributes. There is no way around human interaction. Much of the most successful careers require some sort of exchange of emotion. The way that a person presents themselves at a grocery store will often determine the treatment that they will receive. IQ alone can not make that grocery trip successful because it will not create a pleasant experience for both subjects. A lower EQ can be the cause of aggression and conflicts within one’s relationship (Mayer, 2008.) This could be a step in predicting the causes of anger management and mental behaviors.
...ng world. He kept that darkness at bay by being loving, kind, whimsical and ceaselessly serving others. He may not have been a great tragic hero, or a vehement political figure that changed the world, but there are all sorts of heroes, and as Albus Dumbledore himself once said, “There are all kinds of courage”.
