The best player on the team will typically play this position. They have to perform various tasks on the field depending on the midfielders role they are assigned.
A Dual Position
Versatility is the main feature of any midfielder. This is a dual position in football as midfielders will be playing an offensive position and a defensive position. Players have to be creative and feisty. They need to find ways to set up a scoring play and stop the opposition’s aggressive attacks. Qualifications that are necessary of these players include being a creative passer, recognizing other teammate’s roles, and

They will constantly be close to the ball and will do most of the running on the field. Center midfielders help attack when their team is offensively making the play and need to defend when the opposing team has the ball.
Defensive Midfielder
Reading the game is an important trait or defensive midfielders. When the defense recovers the ball an outlet is needed for passing down the field. Center attacks will not be necessary. Offensive players will need to be covered is they are above the penalty area moving moving across the center of the field. He must also help set up the offense by connecting on long crossing passes. If the midfielders are applying pressure, the opposing team will need to use their wings to move the ball down the field.
Side Midfielder
These are the wingers on the field and are typically the fastest players. They will look for open space at the sideline and corners of the field to dribble past opposing players. Flexibility is provided when using four-man or five-man midfield formations. Sprinting for long passing runs or following the ball into the offensive zone are two of the most important traits of a

In soccer, there are no time outs and little stoppage of play, so communication with coaches is limited. For a team to play well, each player must know what they need to do on and off the field. The objective of a soccer team is very simple; score and do not let your opponents score. When your team has the ball, every player already knows to help the person who has the possession of the ball to score. As soon as the ball is lost to the opponent,
There are 5 positions: 1.Goalie, 2.Defender’s, 3.midfielder, 4.Forward, 5 Striker. Those are all the positions. A goalie is a person that stays back in the goal she can use her hands but only if she is in the goal box. A Defender is the person who stays back towards the goal and tries to take the ball away and kick it up to either the midfielder or the forwards before the ball gets to the goalie. Next is the midfielder their job is to run up and try to score and if the ball gets taken away their job is to run back and help play defense. The forward is a person who tries to score but if the ball gets taken away they do not run back to help play defense because if their team gets the ball back they won’t have anyone to pass up to. Sports provide an amazing outlet for people of all ages. It has been proven that sports help focus and concentration as well as improving ones physical state. It is a beneficial pastime that all should be allowed to enjoy. Up until that age of 12-13 both genders are invited and welcomed to play sports. After this point something changes, it is not really talked about but pressure is effectively applied and society somehow manages to push people into very gender orientated and gender specific sports. The question is, what happens when someone doesn't succumb to the pressure and actively participates in what it referred to as a non-traditional role in a particular sport? This idea applies to both sexes, not just females. We are talking about how society reacts when women compete in body building competitions and when men become figure skaters. I believe that the root of our problem lies within the biases of our society.
In conclusion, football and soccer have their similarities, but these similarities are superficial. There are many fundamental differences, such as the use of one’s hands being illegal in soccer, except for the goalie when he/she is inside his/her respective eighteen-yard boundary. Another example is the alternation of a team’s offense and defense in football as opposed to the simultaneous effort of the offense and defense in soccer. These differences in rules, rituals, and concepts distinguish these two sports from each other. However, there are similarities, such as the fact that both sports allow eleven players on each team to play on the field at a time. Also, the area where one scores is in the same locations in both sports, the end zones of football and the goals of soccer are on opposite sides of the field.
Since football is a form of sport that allows creativity, the use of certain styles like swerving shots and chips separate the champions from the learners. Players like Messi, Neymar, and Christian Ronaldo are some of the most celebrated soccer stars today, thanks to their ability to combine talent and creativity. It is no wonder that they have scooped awards interchangeably, year after year.

Some say defence is the most important part of the game because it's what wins you the game. The first thing you need to know about defence is defensive slides. You have to be low so you can move faster and your arms out in the passing lane. With defensive slides you have to slide along with the person you are guarding while being close enough to create pressure on the ball handler, but not too close to where they can just go right past you. If you are not guarding the ball you must always have your eyes on the ball and your person. Man defence isn't the only type of defence played. Other essential defences include; zone defences, and trap defences. A zone defence is where you guard a certain zone instead of a man. Equally as important is trap defences where you emphasize pressure on the other team, with a goal to trap the ball handler and force a
