Drug testing in the workplace is done to assist safety mainly. Some companies do drug testing in order to gain public trust. In closing, having drug testing in the wrestling industry is best for not only the business but beneficial for the wrestlers as well. Seeing as how the drug testing has stipulations such as suspensions, rehab and being released from the company, wrestlers will follow the rules to drug testing and not do drugs in order to maintain their jobs. The industry benefits from this by not being looked upon as an industry that allows performers to take drugs for as many times as they please until they drop dead. The wrestling industry will also not be accused as turning a blind eye to any of the situations that are going on with their wresters. Drug testing should be allowed in the wrestling industry. To work productively especially when the work may be physical it is nearly impossible to keep one’s privacy. The relationship between employer and employee is based on a contract. The employee provides work for the employer and in return he is paid. If the employee cannot provide services because of problems such as drug abuse, then he is violating the contract. Employers have the right to know many things about their employees.
