The United States has found that there is approximately 13 million illegal immigrants residing within its borders and that number is predicted to rise with the years to come. Although there is no definite number; there is a great chance that more than half of these 13 million illegal immigrants drive illegally in the United States. This means that there are more than six million drivers on the roads who are not educated on American traffic laws, who are not registered on the government database, and who have no insurance to cover their accidents. On top of that, if pulled over, law enforcement has the ability to immediately deport these immigrants if they do not provide proper paperwork. It is a known fact that people from all over the world immigrate to the United States in search of the American dream. This is the land of opportunity and no matter how much this country denies it; it needs the labor of illegal immigrants to prosper. In order to create a safer America, illegal immigrants should be allowed to obtain a driver’s license because it forces them to be insured, it stops them from being deported when pulled over, and it assists them in contributing to the prosperity of the United States.
In the state of Arizona, teenagers that are 15 years and six months can apply for their learner’s permit. A written driving test of basic driving laws and rules is then taken. Upon passing the new driver is given six months to drive a minimum of 30 daytime hours and 10 nighttime hours, with a licensed driver present. This allows teens to become comfortable driving alongside a licensed driver before taking on the task of driving alone. After the six month period of practicing, the teenager can take the driving part of the exam to attain their driver’s license. “Crash risk is particularly high during the first months of licensure.” (Teen Drivers: Fact Sheet 1) The need for more driving practice and defensive driving is relevant.
Getting my driver’s license gave me a sense of freedom that hit me hard with a reality check when I received my first ticket and taught me to respect and obey the law. Driving is a great way to commute anywhere in the United States. Driving is all about decisions, remember to make the right ones behind the
The history of driver’s education goes way back. The first known DE programs were developed between 1910 and 1920. However, it was not until the 1930s that formal courses were...
My parents gave me my first car for my sixteenth birthday. I was overjoyed by this new found freedom; however, like a large portion of teenagers, I was also terrified of driving. This was mostly because I didn’t receive a lot of experience with my permit, and also because I was afraid of crashing my new car. In the years preceding my sixteenth birthday I had mourned the deaths of several teenaged friends who had died in car crashes. I ended up waiting a full year after I turned sixteen to take my driving test, because I didn’t feel comfortable driving until then, which later paid off when I passed my driving test the first time I took it. In my opinion, all teenagers should do as I did and wait to get their licenses. Though in reality, not all teenagers would agree to wait, so, I believe the legal driving age should be raised to eighteen years of age.

I wasn?t nervous to drive because my dad let me drive sometimes to my grandpa?s house If I took the back roads, so I had a little experience. When I took behind the wheel it was a little different than driving on the back roads, but I did ok. When I finished behind the wheel I signed up for a driving test. This was the part I had been waiting for, I wanted to pass so I could drive alone. The day of the test was very stressful, I had to use my grandma?s car because mine had tinted windows. I had never driven my grandma?s car, and I could not do corner backing with it.
These people will not be able to rise in their employment level and will be stuck working only with their fellow immigrants. They will have to find a person who can translate their language to others and get the services, such as medical assistance, they need, very much complicating all they do. Immigrants who have learned the English language have more respect in society. They get higher positions in jobs quickly, depending on their knowledge and also they can work as language translators for other immigrants who don’t speak English. This could actually be a job category with growth. Knowing English helps immigrants feel less isolated from their new community of English-speakers. They are able to socialize, make purchases, and function daily with their neighbors, their teachers, and their colleagues at
When starting to drive at sixteen it gives you more driving experience. Dr. Scott Masten, a researcher with California’s Department of Motor Vehicle said, “The whole thing about learning to drive is you need to expose yourself to crash risk to get experience,”( paragraph 9). You can also lean a lot from the experience of others. Having adult supervision, due to the adults’ experience, reduces risk, (paragraph 8). “Having
Having a driver's license means the opportunity to do more. Being in the suburbs, the car is the only timely form of transportation between places. I participate in a few after school activities, and transportation is usually a large issue. I am a part of my school's robotics team, and we work offsite in a larger manufacturing facility. Our larger build site is located in Ashland and is quite a long drive from school and even further from my house. Being able to go there, even when my parents are busy would help the team and give me more things to
Drivers education has been around for a few decades now. But, it is safe to say that it is not as relaxed as it used to be. Times have changed and with that comes higher safety standards. Therefore, there
In a society much like today 's, driving has become one of the most essential ways of transportation. In some major cities, people may not drive themselves but rather take a bus or a train. Both of which have a driver though who drives a motor vehicle and encounters traffic and struggle while on the road, Also in today 's society, technology has increased so much that many features of driving or being in a car require hands off the wheel ways to change the settings. For example, to turn or the seat warmers or even coolers, a driver must take one or both hands off the wheel, track the motion of their hands with their eyes and then push the correct button. In some cases, the button may not work which would prolong the time of hands off the wheel
Driving a car and obtaining a driver’s license does perhaps seem to provide people with a great sense of independence and freedom. Teenagers need to feel independent in order to learn to become successful on their own as well as realize how to handle life situations on their own, and having a license seems the perfect start and most effective way to do so. When teenagers feel this independence they tend to act more mature, knowing the responsibilities they must now carry on their own (More4Kids). Teenagers often look forward to the freedom that driving offers as well. Teenagers are able to take drives to escape from life’s many stressed, and leave any troubles at home behind without rebelling out against their loved ones.
My experience with learning to drive started in middle school where kids were too young to enroll in driving classes. My parents were a busy pair and I was an athlete who was determined to do my best for my team. This of course meant I was required to train with my team to build a chemistry with them. I drove myself to
Getting my drivers’ license was an intense feeling that I will never forget. Just knowing that I had a drivers’ license made me feel so free, as free as a bird flying in the open sky with no real place to go, just a desire to be free. I felt like I could do anything. I had new responsibilities like most adults, and I came to a realization that I had lived through one of the most important events in the process of growing up. This event opened up many possibilities for me such as interests in cars, driving skill improvement, and freedom.
