Drinking and driving is such an issue to society, because driving intoxicated effects many people lives. Many people drink and drive because they think they know themselves when they drink, so they tell themselves they can make it to their destination. Drinking and driving is when an individual is under the influence of alcohol and decides to drive. Emile Durkheim is best for explaining why drinking and driving is a social problem and the effects/ consequences of it.
