My group went for drink driving because it is such a big thing at the moment. Drink drive has been a big thing for many years and it’s steal is a big thing. The government had made a new law about it that saying every time you go to start your car you have to breath in to a machine and if your under the alcohol limit your car well start, and if your over the car will not start. The target audience is 18-25 years olds and males because thats when you get your fully car licence and you party a lot and you drink and most of theres people would drive home after having apart 4 drinks. 33% of all drink drivers involved in a fatal accents are aged in 17-24. 90% of drink drivers involved in fatal accidents are males and that is why we also many target males.

be effective to your target audience? The slogan that my group came up is “If you ever took a life would you be able to liver with yourself? Then Don’t drink and drive.” The merchandise that we went with is stubby holder, Car sticker and a t-shirt. I think the best merchandise that would work is the stubby holder, because you and your mates mite be haven a couple of drinks then you look at the stubby holder and you would remind yourself not to drink and drive. The car sticker could work because you mite see it on a car to a party and you mite think to yourself not to drink to much or not to drink and drive. I believe that the t-shirt would not work because no wants to were a shirt that says “If you ever took a life would you be able to liver with yourself? Then Don’t drink and drive” because it is not really a good thing to were out. If the slogan was on a AFL jumper then it mite work because you mite win a game and you would look at the jumper saying “If you ever took a life would you be able to liver with yourself? Then Don’t drink and drive.” then you mite not then. I think the slogan “If you ever took a life would you be able to liver with yourself?
Then Don’t drink and drive.” is very powerful because it if you did drink and drive and then kill some one how would you live with yourself? I also like the slogan because it is simple and it gets the message out there. The slogan did take us some time to come up with because all the good slogans have been taking by the government and we could not swear or say thing rude on it. I think the slogan and the merchandise will effective 18-25s because most of the males would play AFL or score and on the jumpers it would say “If you ever took a life would you be able to liver with yourself? Then Don’t drink and drive.” and this would stop then form doing it. For the males and females the car sticker could stop them because there mite be driving to a party and there would see it and think I don’t want to kill someone. Over all I think my groups slogan is very good and it gets the message to

I had to make the the stubby holder and the t-shirt. Darcy had to make the poster with facts about drink driving. Aaron had to make the car sticker. We all wrote down slogans and we all choose the best slogan for the work, some one wrote down a slogan which was not really a good thing to write down so a crossed it out and wrote on top of it. I would say that Darcy did the hard work by doing the poster and Aaron and I got the easy stuff to do. I think we were creative for come up the slogan and which merchandise and the slogan as well. I think that we did do a ok plan for who is doing what and we did a good brain storm for slogans. I think that my group will be well prepared for the work that we need to hand in and talk about. Over all I think that my group worked very well and we will get good marks for putting in the effect.

Many temptations are faced in college culture and one of them is underage drinking and driving. Underage drinking and driving has essentially become an epidemic, rapidly developing among today’s youth. College culture has come to encourage drinking and driving through the places and people that surround the students (National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, October 2002). Some people don’t see underage drinking as an issue, when in fact it is a huge issue that every teenager will face. Since underage drinking is illegal people want to rebel by drinking; additionally, alcohol is really easy to get ahold of in college. Since many students are going to drink, the first line of defense is to educate students about the effects of alcohol and what can happen if students do drink and drive. Unless we are able to put a stop to underage drinking and driving through education, and a system called smart start the problem wont get any better.
There is knocking at a door late at night, and there a policeman standing at the door with information that a family member was in an accident that involved a drunk driver. This is one of those things people hear and believe that it will not happen, but it happens every day. Every 40 minutes, someone in the U.S. is killed by a drunk driver and in 2008, in Montana, 40 percent of all traffic fatalities involved DUIs (“Drunk Driving” 1). Drunk Driving affects everyone and people in Montana should look at what other states do to find ways to make the laws tougher and more enforced.

In my recent research, I have found so many different viewpoints and opinions that demand to be taken into consideration when making decisions, and while it is important to take in the few that wish for relaxed control, it is also important to focus on the points both sides attempt to raise, and see which tend to be more prevalent. People such as the National Motorists’ Association are pushing harshly against organizations such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving for the right to have each DWI/DUI case treated gently and with ‘care,’ and each side is making the other out to be a kind of monster against the happiness of others, such as the actual drivers, and their families or passengers. The increasing penalties for getting caught as a drunk driver have increased over the years. The government has taken measures to educate teenagers about the dangers of drinking and driving and the many lives that could be lost. Schools such as Los Amigos High School have taken the responsibility to educate these teens towards the dangers of drinking and driving with the assistance of The National Every 15 Minutes Organization (www.every15minutes.com). This organization seeks to give students the opportunity to feel first hand the effects of drinking and driving with out the risk. Measures such as the ones taken through the Every 15 Minutes Organization would not be taken if the institutions and people had not sought to end prohibition and still try to protect the lives of those that they care about.
Every 53 minutes someone dies from a drunk driver and every 2 minutes someone is injured from drunk driving (“About Drunk Driving”). Drunk driving is a huge problem and there are multiple solutions to decrease drunk driving. Families are affected by society's choice to drink and drive, not that society knows any better. This also costs money that could be spent on other, more important things and makes the roads completely dangerous for all drivers. Through all the issues drunk driving creates; there are solutions too- addicts could get medical help and society could help by raising awareness and talking to each other.
