The music of rapper Aubrey Drake Graham, better known as Drake or Drizzy, has helped him to transcend the impoverished circumstances of his childhood life while giving him the opportunity to express his emotions, feelings, and impact of those circumstances on him.
Drake’s background is not something to feel bad about, but there was indeed much struggle within it. He was born as Aubrey Drake Graham on October 24, 1986, in Toronto, Ontario. His parents were Sandi Graham, a teacher, and Dennis Graham, a drummer. Drake's father is African-American and was born in Memphis, Tennessee. His mother is Caucasian and Jewish Canadian. Aubrey attended a Jewish day school and had a Bar Mitzvah when he reached the age to do so.

"The Motto" was released on November 29, 2011 as the album’s third single, and features American rapper Lil Wayne. It became one of Drake's most successful singles to date, topping the Rap and R&B/Hip-Hop songs charts. This other milestone further extended his lead for most number one hits on the rap chart and tying a record set by Jay-Z, for most number one hits on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for a Rap artist. The song is mostly famous for popularizing the phrase "Yolo" in the United States, with the song's main lyric stating, "You only live once: that's the motto, nigga, Yolo." In support of the album, Drake kicked off the “Club Paradise Tour” again in Miami, Florida on February 14, 2012 with opening acts Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky.
