Dr Martin Luther King.Was a very important person .He was born in Atlanta on January 15,1929.He got his and his sons name changed for the sixteenth century German Church. He educated in Atlanta,he graduating from Booker T Washington High School in 1944.Then he enrolled at Morehouse college..Now he has two sons and two daughters.One of his daughters died May the 15,2007. Dr Martin Luther King is really known for his “I have a dream” speech. He fought for equal rights with black and whites .He stood up for what he believed in .He died for us cause he now that people wanted to kill him but he still did it .He stood up for what he believed in And his group did not touch any one did not hurt anyone just said what they believed in. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was an American baptist minister, Civil Rights activist, and humanitarian. He was born on January 25, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia under the name of Michael King, Jr. Both he and his father later adopted the name of the German protestant leader Martin Luther in honor of him. King thrived at Booker T. Washington High School, graduating at the age of 15 before moving on to Morehouse College. For years, he had questioned religion, but in his third year of college, he took a bible class that renewed his faith. King later went on to study at Crozer theological seminary for three years. He met his future wife during his last year of seminary, and went on to receive his Ph.D in 1955 at the age of 25.

He was viewed as a clean cut, all round good man, and unlike other leaders in the movement for racial equality, did not have un-orthodox, radical views. Since people did not see him as a threat, but as a peaceful man, leading a movement, he was easy to support. For example: People are more likely to agree with a man who explains something in a non-violent, nice way, than someone who uses mud slinging, name calling, and violence to express a view.
