The Superbowl 2016 was a very entertaining game to watch. But one of the most entertaining parts that everyone loves the most is the commercials that they play each year. There are so many different commercials for different products that people are trying to advertise more. Out of all the commercials that i had watched this year i believe that one stood out the most. The Doritos commercials get better and better each year and this year it stood out the most. This year the Doritos commercial even though a little awkward was still entertaining. I know for a fact every time i go and buy a bag of Doritos i'm going to remember this commercial. This year the Doritos commercial was about a pregnant woman who was getting her ultra sound. There was the women doctor and the father of the baby was in the room as well as the mom. The dad was eating a bag of Doritos and when he pulled another one out of the bag he realized that each time he moved the Doritos the baby followed on the camera with its hands. When the mom finally got fed up with the dads immaturity. She threw the Doritos and the baby flew out the mother's womb for the Doritos. Everyone in the room screamed in terror. …show more content…
The creators of this commercial may of tried to persuade us in a different way than everyone else. But in the end was still entertaining. I believe they tried to persuade us by trying to prove that everyone loves Doritos even the baby inside the mother's womb still could smell them. They were also trying to show that the baby wanted the Doritos so bad that it jumped out of the mother just to grab one. This video was so entertaining and not forgetful that every time someone goes to the store to buy something they will see Doritos and think of that commercial
The Jordan Spieth commercial used humor to a track my attention. It was only a 30 second
Chipotle uses “The Scarecrow” as a way to reach out into the hearts of the young and the old, hoping to ignite a flame of rebellion towards anyone who could possibly treat animals the way it was depicted in the three minute piece, while simultaneously reaching its hand into the wallet to pay for all the healthy Chipotle food a viewer of this add will be surely being buying. This ad proves that one of the best ways to get a person to hand over money to a cause is to make the person feel something. After all, emotion guides most other processes. So what better way to earn money than through a person’s
Budweiser's heartwarming 2014 Super Bowl commercial (in which a puppy befriends a horse) has been ranked the most popular ad ever to air in the 50-year history of the NFL's premier event, according to a study from TiVo.
Alphonse Gabriel Capone was the most notorious bootlegger in American History. He was born on January 17, 1899 and died of a heart attack on January 25, 1947. Capone grew up in Brooklyn and became a member of the Five Points Gang. During a street fight he had received a scar on his face that gave him the nickname “Scarface”. Capone quickly moves up the ranks in the mafia world, often noticed for his toughness, in 1919 he grabbed the attention of mobster John Torrio of Chicago. Capone was promoted to bodyguard of the mob boss James Colosimo. When Capone moved to Chicago, bootlegging was just starting to blow up. These bootleggers pounced on the opportunity to completely control the business of making, importing, and distributing alcohol and all alcohol products. Alcohol wasn't the only flourishing industry for the the mob, they also did trade in
The commercial that I chose as my favorite commercial from the night was the Colgate Save Water commercial. The creators of the advertisement used all three of the modes of persuasion: logos, ethos, and pathos to appeal to the target audience. Knowing that over 100 million people would be tuning in to view the Super Bowl game as well as the commercials, the creators knew what appealing approach to take regarding the audience.
At the start of September, Donald Trump terminated a program and in turn put fear into the hearts of nearly 800,000 people and their friends and family. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, was a program that was made to replace the DREAM Act (a policy that was not approved by Congress which would have created a path towards citizenship for “illegal” immigrants that came to the United States as children). DACA was put into effect in 2012 by former President Barack Obama through an executive order. This policy protects immigrants who, as children, were either illegally brought to the United States or were brought legally but then stayed past their visas’ expiration dates. DACA provides this specific group of immigrants with protection from deportation, a social security number, and a work permit; however, it is not a way of gaining legal status. Not only are the qualifications for eligibility specific and limiting, but the application process itself is expensive, extensive, long, and it has to be done every two years.
In the Doritos commercial advertisement, the logo is seen with the brand title. The Doritos logo is the more powerful of the two based on this information, because of how Doritos is widely known and recognized by all, while many of the sponsors on the billboard aren’t as immediately recognizable. The video describes how our society may not even care about the product being advertised, but we still read the billboard or watch the commercial. Also mentioned was the use of colors in a commercial, the marketing effects in politics, and even market research obtained by studying different cults.
When the U.S prepares for the Super Bowl, Americans become excited for two things, football and commercials. This February, the NFL had its 48th annual Super Bowl in conjunction with the highly anticipated commercials. There was one commercial released by a world famous soda producer, Coca Cola, which has created much controversy. Coca Cola took a unique take on the classic “America the Beautiful” song that has caused quite an uproar regarding prejudice, discrimination, and ethnicity in America.
Although I liked all 3 of these commercials, the ones that I would choose are the Cheetah and Mock Opera commercials. They are the most creative, have the best graphics and will give Mountain Dew the best chance to get the post Super Bowl advertising media exposure. The exposure that Mountain Dew will get following the Super Bowl may be greater than what the ads can accomplish themselves.
The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, shields about 800,000 illegal immigrants from deportation. Though many people think illegal immigrants bring crime, DACA recipients bring almost no crime rates to this country. Many DACA recipients were brought to the United States unwillingly at a young age. As adults, DACA recipients do the duties of any other citizen, but they are not allowed to become citizens. DACA recipients, or Dreamers, should become citizens because they give little to no threat to the United States, have little relation to their ‘home’ country, and perform the rights of any citizen.
What is the best food to eat at 3 in the morning? It’s obviously pizza! But what toppings should go on top of the delicious pie is the real debate. When you hear people order "pineapple on pizza," they are either salivating in anticipation or gagging in disgust. The first time I heard about Hawaiian Pizza that includes pineapple on top, I cringed. When I saw it, I cringed harder, and when I first laid the doughy flatbread on my tongue, I cringed the hardest. As someone who loves pineapple and pizza separately and an avid food enthusiast, I know pizza. I have eaten plenty of pizzas before ranging from ordinary cheese to upscale vegan pizza. Pizza should be made with care, with love, and with delectable savory toppings selected with attentiveness. It is not meant to be randomly covered by a sugary tropical fruit.
Children eat food. Children are being shown that doing something you’re not supposed to be doing is okay if no one knows you did it. Mr. Potato is in a disguise because he doesn’t want people to know he will be eating potato chips because he isn’t supposed to given that he’s a potato. Children often learn by observing someone or something else. At the end of the commercial Mr. Potato tells the cashier to “shhh” because he doesn’t want anyone else to know that he has been there buying potato chips. This is just another form of saying don’t say anything. In other words, the cashier will have to keep the secret of lie about it. When he gets in the car he is free of his disguise and can now enjoy the victory he has just made. It’s like the scenario of someone robbing a bank, ditching their disguise, and escaping to someplace far where no one could notice them. When Mr. Potato implies that Mrs. Potato will turn into a potato if she keeps eating potato chips, it’s ironic because they are already potatoes. Since they ae already potatoes they wouldn’t care if they’d turn into a potato. The message here is “What’s the worst that could happen”. If something is already occurring, it won’t hurt to do more damage. The audience may not realize the type of brainwashing that is going on in commercials so that they are persuaded to but whatever the product
“Once I got DACA, I thought, ‘Now it’s on me to do it.’ I think getting DACA absolutely changed the way that I saw what I wanted to do … It gave me a safety net” (“Interview”). Meet Gabriela Hernandez. Born in Ciudad Juarez in Mexico, she came to the United States as a six year old, fleeing an abusive household alongside her mother.
The issue on illegal immigrants has been facing America over so many years “What is illegal immigration? This is the migration of foreigners to a country who are not legally eligible to migrate or extend their stay for more than a given period yet they refuse to leave. According to the United States Department of Home Security, people involved in illegal immigration are those non US residents who either crossed the borders without inspection or people who are given visas to stay for a while but instead of leaving, they overstay.” There is no reliable count of illegal immigration. Of course, people coming into the United States illegally are trying to avoid detection. The best indicator available is the number of people arrested
While immigration for our country is good the ability to become a legal citizen has become insanely hard therefore leading immigrants to illegally cross our border, which negatively impacts our country.
