Charisma Without charisma, a person cannot be an efficient leader. There are many reasons why this statement is true in the real world and in the play Julius Caesar. Most of the leaders in our world do not just sit there and expect the popularity and shine to come to them. These leaders perfect their attitude and charm to inspire others to follow them. Julius Caesar started with nothing and grew to become a huge leader of Rome. He did this by his charm, strong work ethic, and being a man of action. Donald Trump has attained his popularity by these same three characteristics. Julius Caesar built his charm and liking from people from the ground up. “It was Caesar’s charm and charisma that continued to help him go from obscurity to the top,” states Jason Rogers who wrote the article, “Julius Caesar’s 6 secrets to success.” Julius used his used his charm to influence the people of Rome. Caesar was a great speaker and was able to persuade the people through his speeches. The charm that Caesar had created a group of followers. Similarly, in today's world, Donald Trump has persuaded the people of the United States. His charismatic personality and social skills also enticed a group of followers. Caesar was constantly working toward his goal. He was willing to do anything and everything to make him closer to becoming the leader of Rome. Caesar was always on the go to attain more followers. One major characteristic of Donald Trump was also his strong work ethic to attain followers. He was willing to travel tirelessly to reach as many people as he could. In a famous speech Donald Trump says, “Success comes from failure, not from memorizing the answers” (Investopedia). This proves that he was willing to fail and continue to work hard toward his

Julius Caesar (July 100 BC – 15 March 44 BC) was a Roman general, statesman, Consul, and author of Latin prose. He played a critical role in the events that led to the demise of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire. On March 15 44 B.C.E, the Roman dictator Julius Caesar was murdered. There are multiple accounts of this incident, while all accounts came after the death of Caesar, the writing on the incident portray Julius Caesar to have been a selfish dictator.
For thousands of years people have been talking about the great powerful Caesar. He is one of the greatest known dictators known to people today mostly because of all of the things he was able to accomplish during his rein as emperor. After reading primary sources about Caesar, it has given me a better understanding of what other people thought of him during this time period. It’s safe to say that Caesar was obsessed with power and respect from other people that would explain his thirst for war and land, which is one of his greatest strengths and helped in making Rome a great empire.
Julius Caesar, born Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus Augustus, was born into a family of patricians. In fact, he was able to trace his lineage back to Romulus, the first king of Rome (Gill, N.S.). His birth of around July 12, 100 B.C., marked a new beginning for Rome (Julius Caesar). Caesar was a talented negotiator, and that fact helped him on his rise to power. Julius Caesar began his career in politics by becoming a prosecuting advocate. In roughly 68 B.C., he was elected quaestor, which was a Roman official that was elected annually. Becoming a quaestor was needed before becoming a senator. In around 60 B.C., Caesar became a governor of the province of Spain (Gill, N.S.). His rise to power was extremely fast. In 59 B.C., an alliance with his rival Pompey allowed him to be elected a consul, which in the Roman Republic was the highest elected office. Julius Caesar’s political power was quickly rising.
Caesar was born into a traditional influential and respected family. It is this influence that he used to make his way to the top of the Roman leadership. His use in warfare and military conquests are legendary although he had at first concentrated in pursuing political actions. He won the first elections in his political career at the early forties. Caesar proved he was the most successful. This was due to careful planning and implementation. It seemed everything he put his mind to accomplish he did so with ease. This was truly a great leader and certainly changed lives both for the better and worst, depending on which side, you were either winners or losers. Of course, all the bribing he did along the way definitely greased the skids. This made him some real serious enemies along the way. Caesar always had an eye out for promising recruits and never failed to single those men out and reward them. This earned him many friends along the path to the temporary dictator. There should be no doubt on Caesar’s importance in the history of the empire as he was that guy who never wanted to rest on his achievements, but someone who always had a plan on just how to get things done. He was never defeated as a general. Caesar rarely failed at any task he chose to undertake. He just somehow knew how to get things done and he never really stopped thinking about how to improve the city and it roads. Caesar was the best as dictators go but were never afraid to be brutal and ruthless if the times called for it. He was never one to show mercy unless it was unavoidable. Love him or hate him, he was one of the best leaders of all time. Politicians today can still learn a thing or two from Caesar. Bribery is definitely frowned upon, but it is still happening all over the world. The more things change, they seem to stay the same and it is because it
Still fairly young, Caesar became interested in public affairs, and tried to gain favor of the Roman people. In 65 B.C., Caesar was elected to office in the position of aedile. By setting up a time and place for public games, Caesar received popularity. They truly loved him. Caesar continued to spend more and more money for recreational purposes. Slowly, he began to fall into debt (Gruen,12). Luckily, in 62 B.C., Caesar was elected praetor, which was a very high ranking political position (“Julius Caesar”;Gruen,12).
As a result of extreme hard work and perseverance followed by an unmatchable drive to succeed, Donald J. Trump has earned the right to be known as a multi-billionaire, real estate icon, and President of the United States of America. Reflecting on his life, he has faced many challenges and overcame them all. To understand how he rose to success and his journey to the top of the kingpin, it is important to recognize how he saw the American dream and pursued it. Today, many recognize him as the president, but very few can fully grasp all that he has done in his life. From his start as a real estate mogul, to his impact on the media, there are many questions as to how he became so recognizable today.
The decision for success, for Trump, is work hard and be determined and you can achieve your goals. He has shown this hard working mentality as he was a businessman. He acquired many profitable properties and made smart decisions to eventually gain over a billion dollars. He also showed this determination as he was running for president. Although he was called an "unfit" president he still campaigned and won over the votes of many citizens. In the end, Trump won and his determination to succeed brought him to the White House. All people can learn from Trump because of his hard work and
Donald Trump is a successful businessman he appears to have the golden touch. Everything Trump has invested made huge strides in the business sector, and wealth. However, Donald Trump lacks experience in politics and diplomacy. Since the moment of Trump's inauguration, he has fired anyone who opposes his view. His decision making is not a result of wisdom but from an authoritarian perspective.
Ambition drives Caesar to become a strong leader of Rome. Caesar works hard and consequently is given power, but in the process makes many enemies
Julius Cesar was a man of many accomplishments. He was either loathed or loved, with no middle ground. His death came by the hands of his Senate, including people he trusted. There are no direct records of his assassination but there are “firsthand” accounts that were written after the event occurred. How he came to his death is known and stays consistent through many records. What greatly differs is how he is depicted in the reading, he was either a model politician or he was a selfish dictator.
When Mr. Trump speaks, people listen. He is able to articulate and sell his ideas to you. He has had to do a lot of wheeling and dealing trying to acquire real estate, thus being able to persuade people by simply speaking is essential. Ability to Solve Problems Problem solving is another characteristic of effective leaders. You have to be able to take care of situations when they arise.
Caesar was also arrogant, he believed that he was too great to be harmed, Caesar
