Recommended: Trump speech
It’s American tradition that every four years a presidential election is held. This gives the people the ability to have a say in their government to try and make it as great as possible. Once a president is elected they are then sworn in at their inauguration ceremony. Some people would say that the inauguration ceremony is more important than the election itself. It’s the time when the next president lays his whole heart and mind into the future of America’s government. The main attraction of an inauguration ceremony is the President elect’s speech once he has been sworn in. This speech contains all the ideas and promises the president plans to hold out through his term. This year America sworn in Donald J. Trump as its new President. Donald Trumps inauguration was definitely one for the books. Since Donald Trump’s (Trump) election win over former first lady, Hillary Clinton much of have America has sparked lots of controversy onto whether or not trump is fit to lead a country. all at the same the same time. Trump’s main purpose through his presidency is to bring America back to its roots and “make it great again.” His topics on immigration laws were second to none. His thoughts on building the wall is something that has had to be done for awhile. Due to immigration problems in America, controlling immigration for terroristic and drug purposes is a must for American borders. Donald Trump’s plan to control immigration within the United States will help not only those ideas but will allow Americans to grow economically buy allowing more job opportunities. Another topic that has major issues that has sparked since Donald Trump’s election win is his idea toward trading with foreign countries has caused lots of controversy.
Trump’s plan to lower trading with foreign countries has its benefits as well as its consequences. Trump wants to bring back certain companies to America that way job opportunities will increase for Americans. However, trading the foreign companies actually boost the economies money worth and it allows America to have strong allies with its countries. China is one of Americas largest trading country and is considered one of the most powerful in this world so, if Trump tried to interfere with its trade it could cause many problems and a possible war. Frankly, the idea of trading with foreign countries is a positive effect and shouldn’t be stopped because if America stops trading it will halt our advancement in technology and
communications. In conclusion, Donald Trump’s election win was a major accomplishment for Americans because his ideas on many issues in America are going to help Americans thrive and excel for the next four years to come. Although much of America is having problems coming to terms with Trump’s win, many people need to give him a chance to see what he has in stores for the United States because no president has ever gone into this job wanting to ruin America.
The purpose of an “inaugural address” is to inform the people of his or her intentions as a leader. Two of the most prominent inaugural addresses throughout history are Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s and Barack Obama’s. Franklin Roosevelt’s inaugural address stands the test of time because it gave the American people hope that they may overcome the terrible Great Depression. Similarly, Barack Obama’s address is well known because it inspired millions that we will be lifted out of economic crisis, but it was also remembered as the first inaugural address from an African American president. The inauguration speeches of Franklin Roosevelt and Barack Obama use the rhetorical devices parallelism, allusions, and emotive language to convey their messages
The first inaugural was important because the US nation was at very difficult point, and this was due to crash of banking and financial markets occurred in 1929. This speech represents numerous excellent use of Rhetoric.
Moreover, economic interdependence promotes peaceful trade between countries since it is beneficial and avoids war at all cost. For example, “China’s economy is thoroughly integrated in this complex interdependence global economy,” thus it would be suicidal for China to start war (Wong, The Rise of Great Powers, Nov.18). China free trades with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and has developed a profitable relationship that led to trade surplus (Kaplan, pg.3). As a result, starting conflicts with the ASEAN will threaten the Chinese economy because it will drastically impact free trade and will cause a downfall in profits. The possibility of war between China and United States is remote because China would rather benefit from resources such as, security, technology, and market that United States provides (Wong, The Rise of Great Powers, Nov.18). Although economic power shifts to China, United States provides security because it has always been the dominant hegemony; therefore, it has a better and powerful economy (Green, pg.34). It is evident that China’s economy is rapidly increasing, but it still has no interest in being the head hegemony and therefore does not challenge United States. That being said, countries choose to avoid conflicts with United States or their trading partners since it will negatively impact their markets and investments.
The United States and China share the most imbalanced bilateral trade relationship in the world. The United States imports more goods from China than it exports to a tune of $202 billion dollars each year. All told, China alone accounts for nearly 26% of the United States' $725.8 billion trade deficit. “Increasingly, this imbalance has been the subject of a major political backlash within the U.S. congress, where some have charged that the US is destroying its industrial base to support a communist country's industrialization." http://worldnews.about.com/od/china/a/china_trade.htm
Because of the controversial issues surrounding President G.W. Bush before and during the time of his reelection, the acceptance speech that he delivered is an important piece of literature to study. This diplomatic speech is a piece of rhetorical contribution because the motives and meanings behind any President’s speech is significant to us as citizens of the United States of America. It further warrants our attention because if the audience is able to comprehend the inner meanings and motives behind a presidential speech, then they will eventually be able to differentiate the actual stances and platforms of future presidential candidates and nominees.
This speech had a lot of positive sides to it, but one of the most important things was that it gave him a good look from the outside. The inaugural address was written to let the citizens of America know that they could change this country for the better. It assured all voters that they voted for a good cause and that their choice would not end badly. We need to repeat this so much that when we hear it again, we have it memorized and we have no doubt about it.
President Obama’s Inaugural Speech: Rhetorical Analysis. Barrack Obama’s inauguration speech successfully accomplished his goal by using rhetoric to ensure our nation that we will be in safe hands. The speech is similar to ideas obtained from the founding documents and Martin Luther King’s speech to establish ‘our’ goal to get together and take some action on the problems our country is now facing. As President Barack Obama starts his speech, he keeps himself from using ‘me’, ‘myself’, and ‘I’ and replacing it with ‘we’, ‘us’, and ‘together’ to achieve his ethos.
When Abraham Lincoln delivered his Second Inaugural Address on March 4, 1865, his words and tone alike had a considerable positive impact, affecting not only the citizens then, but even society today. Whereby, some consider it to be “the greatest speech of any kind ever delivered in the United States.” (Lincoln). Lincoln said,
Donald Trump has been a bad influence to the United States that doesn’t deserve to be president. The entire thing he has done during his running doesn’t show that is able to be president. Trump is an arrogant person that doesn’t deserve to be president and doesn’t deserve to be able to run a country; he is acting like a child he is not mature to run for
Donald Trump can be appreciated for his cunning business savvy and an ability to at various times throughout his career, make it big. By co-creating this reality show with Mark Burnett, not only has he capitalized on the public's desire to fantasize about (and for a precious few, compete for) achieving a high-profile, financially lucrative career as a business mogul, he has also brought to the mainstream audience a heated, emotional and stimulating debate about something that we all seem to have an opinion on: what it takes to be a great leader.
Examining Trump’s rhetoric and past actions, it becomes clear that Trump’s ability to be the leader of America, especially in today’s already heated world climate, becomes questionable. When even the members of his own party refuse to endorse him and claim that he is not qualified to run a country, the general public needs to sit back and question his integrity. In Trump’s past, he has proven to be an insensitive, racist, greedy business man. Why would he prove to be any different once elected to office?
As a result from extreme hard work and perseverance followed by an unmatchable drive to succeed, Donald J. Trump has earned the right to be known as a multi-billionaire, real estate icon, and President of the United States of America. Reflecting on his life, he has faced many challenges and overcame them all. To understand how he rose to success and his journey to the top of the kingpin, it is important to recognize how he saw the american dream and pursued it. Today, many recognize him as the president but very few can fully grasp all that he has done in his life. From his start as a real estate mogul, to his impact on media, there are many questions as to how he became so recognizable today.
American wanted him to be president so here you go Donald Trump will be in office coming January 2017. Do I think he should be president? No but did I want Hilary to be president? Hell no! Donald Trump is wrong in so many ways when he says things but I will rather have that then someone I feel owes lots of people in this world many of favors. Honestly the only thing I like about Trump is that he is somewhat a businessman. I know everyone says it but it’s honestly true, the guy is good at what he does. I fell though as in since America is in tremendous debt Trump can use his businessman ability to dig us out of this hole that we are in or he can just possibly make it worst. I don’t think everyone wants to give him a chance to actually prove
On January 21, 2017, Donald J Trump became the 45th President of the United States. This was an unusual day, as more people were protesting in the streets of Washington, D.C. than attending the actual inauguration ceremony. Many people believed that Trump was going to lose the race to his rival, Hillary Clinton, but late on November 8, 2016, the voting polls had closed and Trump took the victory. Although Trump did not win the popular vote, he did win the electoral vote. Trump’s campaign had a lot of controversy surrounding it, as he said and did a number of things perceived by some as inappropriate and anger-fueling. Trump also made many promises during his 2017 presidential election. Many think that a president should not make that many
Donald Trump’s announcement that he was running for the presidency shocked many people. When he released his announcement speech I knew I would not be voting for him because I do not agree with any of his ideas or beliefs. His speech in general is flawed and all over the place and he doesn’t seem to know what his point is or how to get to it. I believe that he uses his fame and wealth to try to win the people over and claims that he is the best there is for this position therefore earning their trust.
