"Sadly, the American dream is dead. But if I get elected president, I will bring it back bigger and better than ever.” This was said by American businessman and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who I believe is best fit to be elected because of his views on immigration, education, and budget and spending. Trump’s views on immigration is that “We want people to come into our country legally” according to azfamily.com. Since the Orlando shooting that was carried out by a middle eastern immigrant, his views on immigration now are that everybody illegally here has to leave, and to secure the borders by building a wall across the Mexican border. He says that illegal immigrants are putting our country in danger. Events like Orlando and bombings across the country done by immigrants prove him correct. He vowed to create a “deportation task force” that will find and detain any illegal immigrants crossing the border and send them back. He also wants to build a wall on the Mexican border, and make them pay for it. Another reason Trump is a good candidate is because of his views on education. Trump wants to get rid of the common core, saying “Common core is a very bad thing. I think it should be local education.” according to ontheissues.org. He says students in schools aren’t safe and aren’t learning, and that many are dropping out and …show more content…
Trump says “I will create high paying jobs to bring growth to our stagnant economy, lowering deficits and spending. Rebuild our infrastructure and give our veterans the best medical care.” according to the Dallas Morning News, which is a good view because a lot of our veterans are poor living on the streets. He’s also going to cut the Dept. of Education, since his plan for education is to get rid of it so we can have a better teaching system. One plan to make jobs is building the wall, which will bring thousands of new jobs to unemployed
Restoration of the American Dream: Relieving and expanding the middle class, fuel economic growth, no politician can restore the American
According to Donald Trump’s website his only foreign policy listed is immigration reform. His site states “A nation without borders is not a nation.” This is likely referring to the wall he has proposed building
Trump assures voters he will defend their second amendment right to bear arms, an issue many Republicans feel very passionately about. Other issues such as his tax reform plan are designed to appeal to middle class workers frustrated with their jobs or lack of jobs as trump assures voters if elected he will bring business, trade, and jobs back to America. One issue Trump addresses that is also a huge stance the Republican party overall has taken is that he will repeal the Affordable Care Act, and overall he will save our nation from the turmoil and trouble that President Obama and a Democratic executive branch has gotten this nation
Trump has said and believes that all immigrants that enter the United States are bad and are set out to endanger the lives of all individuals
Years ago, the United States of America was the prime example of prosperity and opportunity. In recent years, in the worst recession since the Great Depression, unemployment and interest rates have skyrocketed. The “American Dream” is an idea that was once a commonly accepted ideology in this country. It has since become only a fallacy. The “American Dream” is no longer an attainable idea, only a fantasy. The “American Dream” is not a true dream that will ever be equally attainable by everyone.
“The American Dream is still alive out there, and hard work will get you there…It can be done with an idea, hard work and determination” (Rancic). Bill Rancic, an entrepreneur hired by Donald Trump, gave this quote about The American Dream to motivate others to reach the dream. The American Dream is the picture people envision when they move, to or live in, the United States. Whether or not it is reachable, people come from all around attempt to live out this dream. The American Dream is defined as the idea that every U.S. citizen should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative. Most teenagers imagine The American Dream daily when in school or while working; furthermore, it helps motivate them to push for their future. In addition, United State citizens are not the only people entitled to this goal; in large part, immigrants come to the states to live the dream. It is written in The Declaration of Independence “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by
Donald Trump is the 45th president and currently still our president. He is a well educated and wealthy man that had become the president of the United States. Donald Trump has been in office for awhile now and there has been a lot of hate or love for him. Based on his opinions and what he does as the presidents gives people their thoughts on Donald Trump. As a president he makes a lot of bold moves and does act out. He is a president that speaks his mind and has no remorse sometimes. Donald Trump fan base is huge. He is a very popular man on social media and in general. What makes him the popular man that he is today is based of his actions. Donald Trump's base of supporter is massive and continues to grow based off of what he does in office. Donald Trump is just outrageous and really speaks his mind when it
He is going to reform the national debt problems with many different resources. Hopefully, he is going to raise taxes for the richer and leave the taxes in a moderate area for the working class. He is going to crack down big time on illegal immigration. He is going to make the processes to buy guns more thorough and make sure to focus on mental illness more, which he believes is the reason to the mass shooting and school killings, not the guns. I believe that his main voter group will be working white males, because of his views of reformation. He isn’t going to raise their taxes, they will be allowed to keep their guns, and he is promising to make illegal immigration ceases. All of these issues are targeted to working white men, which 77% of America is Caucasian and 49.2% of the population is male. If Donald trump sticks to what he has said when he is elected president, I believe he may actually make America great
In regards to unemployment, Trump stated that “the real number is anywhere from 18 to 19 and maybe even 21 percent, and nobody talks about it, because it’s a statistic that’s full of nonsense” (“Donald Trump Transcript”). Trump’s claims are the ones that are nonsense. He is running for president on statements that he blatantly exaggerates to scare people into voting for him. In regards to immigration, Trump states that the problem is “coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably—probably from the Middle East” (“Donald Trump Transcript”). There is no appeal to logos here—Trump is just saying what he wants to believe is happening at the border so that he can make himself out to be a candidate that would be able to overcome his grand, fabricated problems. Although these statements are not well supported, he discusses them in a more informal and angry tone. This in fact helps the ethos that Trump is trying to build, by sounding unintelligent and rash—or “not like a
“The American Dream is a term that is often used but also often misunderstood. It isn 't really about becoming rich or famous. It is about things much simpler and more fundamental than that” (Marco Rubio). The American Dream was a great term to attract many immigrants to this country in the belief that families can restart and reach their dreams. The idea that one can radically change their life and to become “rich” was very attractive and can give great incentive into moving across the world to pursue. With today’s migration, economic, and lack of education situation we have in the United States the American dream no longer has the same meaning it once did.
His first plan for border security was to build a wall. In most of his speeches all you would have to hear is “build a wall” and you knew what he was speaking of. He wanted to build this wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, would this be cheap? No, and he expected Mexico to pay five billion to 10 billion to build this wall. When it came to his plans for deportations, it was to deport all of the undocumented immigrants, (which was about eleven million immigrants). Not only did he want to deport all eleven million, he wanted to penalize those who stayed longer than their visa departure date. He wants to have more immigration and custom enforcement officers, triple to be exact. He also wants to require that immigration and customs enforcement to go with local police officers to gang raids. His plans for the detentions were “no more catch and release” which means he wants immigrants who are caught illegally crossing the border to be detained and deported. He also had plans for the visa’s and work permits, his plans included to raise wages paid to H-1B (“a non-immigrant visa that allows U.S. employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in specialty occupations”)- he wanted to do this so employers are motivated to offer jobs to unemployed Americans, the visa’s including the H-1B requires that employers look to hire American’s first, also to certify that immigrants who come to the U.S. are able to afford their own
Who would you like to see being the next leader of our country? Personally, Donald J. Trump would be the best fit for the leader of our country. He is an experienced businessman who is highly qualified for the leader of this country and the person who is in control of our country. Our country needs someone who is experienced in money to get us out of all the debt that we are in 22.5 trillion dollars. Our country need someone who can balance all of these things, and make the country safe, make it reasonable to go to the doctor, as well as give everyone that deserves that right to an education beyond high school receives one. Donald Trump is wanting to decrease the the amount of collage in order to make it easier to pay for colleges and debt ,he wants to make our country safer and clean up our cities also, he wants to have high quality affordable insurance, lastly but not least he doesn't support government funding for abortion. The well being of our country right now is awful Donald J. Trump can get us out of that.
It's an unwritten rule that past Presidents of the United States don't interfere in the affairs of a sitting POTUS or predecessor. However, media pundits believe that during a recent speech, George W. Bush ripped apart Donald Trump and "Trumpism" without mentioning him by name.
He is mainly focusing on the corporate side of the issue; he plans to lower the rate to 15%, have offshore capital be 10%. This will lower not only national debt, but also make social security more affordable. With unemployment, Trump wants to negotiate fair trade deals that could lead to more jobs on U.S. soil, reduce taxes on business products so they can be sold in more places around the world, and review regulations that inhibit hiring. With these new goals, comes more jobs to help build infrastructure or help the United States in military, business, programs, or help with debt. His plans for both social security and unemployment would help with national debt and created more jobs, but economy is not the only issue we
