Donald Trump’s hypocritical claim to be a Christian is conspicuous as he holds up Grandma’s bible and mispronounces 2 Corinthians, etc., as if to make a joke of the whole thing. When 60 minutes first interviewed with Donald Trump and his new running mate, Mike Pence, interviewer Leslie Stahl contrasted the difference between the two, saying Trump was brash and Pence was quiet and religious. Trump butted in, “Oh, I’m religious.” The proof he offered? “Well, I won the evangelicals.” Trump said.
Donald’s antichristian character is mockery of God. Unless directly asked about it, Trump never invokes the name of God. While he will occasionally close a speech with, “God bless you,” most often, he will not. I do not recall Tump ever saying the name, Jesus Christ. If a prayer or a moment of silence is observed, he never bows his head. The most classic of video clips showed TBN’s false prophets of the Health and Wealth Gospel gathered around Trump to “lay hands” on him. Trump appeared to want to crawl out of his see-through skin, perhaps yet unaware that many present would become his workers of iniquity. They were anointing the Son of Satan himself.

They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good. The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God. They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one. Do all the workers of wickedness not know, who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon the Lord? There they are in great dread, For God is with the righteous generation. You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted, But the Lord is his refuge. Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores His captive people, Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be
In the book, Burial And Thebes, the king, Creon, can be compared to the presidential candidate, Donald Trump. They have many things in common, such as thinking they are better than everyone, a tendency to bully others, and the ability to say the most stupid things that might later affect them in life. Donald Trump and King Creon also have a tendency to think of themselves as gods, as if they are ones who can give wisdom to the lesser people below them. They also have similar views on women. For example, in Creon’s case, no woman has any power. In Trump’s case, he tends to degrade woman with his opinions. Even though these two very cocky men are thousands of years apart, they both have similar views on they way life should be.
The U.S. president is a person deemed to be the most fitting person to lead this country through thick and thin. It’s been such a successful method that it has led to 43 individual men being put in charge of running this country. However, this doesn’t mean that each one has been good or hasn’t had an issue they couldn’t resolve when in office. But no matter what, each one has left a very unique imprint on the history and evolution of this nation. However when two are compared against one another, some rather surprising similarities may be found. Even better, is what happens when two presidents are compared and they are from the same political party but separated by a large numbers of years between them. In doing this, not only do we see the difference between the two but the interesting evolution of political idea in one party.
Imagine that it was the middle of the night and you had to alert hundreds of people that there is danger coming their way; you have to go against all odds to deliver your important message. This was the daunting task Paul Revere had on the night of April 18, 1775. In the historical account of Paul Revere’s ride and Henry Longfellow’s version there are many similarities and differences. One of the main similarities is the meaning of the lanterns hanging in the church were the same. The main difference is that different people saw the lanterns hanging. When writing his story, Henry Longfellow used details from history but altered it to make it a more interesting story.
... of evil against you, for my sake. Rejoice and exult, because your reward is great in heaven; for so did they persecute the prophets who were before you" (Matthew 5:11-12).
Republicans may dress Jesus in a Brooks Brothers suit while Democrats put Him in the denim work clothes of union workers...There is no better way for a political party to establish the legitimacy of its political point of view than to declare that Jesus is one of its members. This remaking of Jesus is not just some kind of harmless campaign technique...The Bible calls it idolatry! (see Romans 1:22-23, 25) (1)
Some people think that if they could only change one aspect of their lives, it would be perfect. They do not realize that anything that is changed could come with unintended consequences. “The Monkey’s Paw” by W.W. Jacobs and “The Third Wish” by Joan Aiken both illustrate this theme. They demonstrate this by granting the main character three wishes, but with each wish that is granted, brings undesirable consequences. The main idea of this essay is to compare and contrast “The Monkey’s Paw” and “The Third Wish.” Although the “The Monkey’s Paw” and “The Third Wish” are both fantasies and have similar themes, they have different main characters, wishes, and resolutions.
Obama uses religious references multiple times in his speech, referring to Scripture as source of deliberation. He said, the scripter tells us: ‘There is a river whose streams make glad the city
Amongst the numerous great silent film directors, the three that are commonly mentioned surrounding that discussion are Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd, and Charlie Chaplin. Having seeing a greater amount of Charlie Chaplin’s magnificent work than the others, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd most certainly still got my consideration. In spite of every one of the three delivering awesome pieces of visual artwork, they shared some comparable attributes, however they each had unique differences which contributed to their each distinct style of silent film production. From seeing films produced by all three of these directors, it is evident that comedy works magnificently well with the silent movie format.
The Life and Legacy of Donald Trump Donald John Trump was born in Queens, New York on June 14, 1946 (Ask Men 3). The fourth child of Fred and Mary-Anne Trump, Donald was born into wealth and prosperity. His family operated a profitable New York real estate developing company, specializing in middle-income housing, Elizabeth Trump & Sons (Biography 2). Trump was an energetic child and was sent to military school during his teen years to learn to disciple (Ask Men 5). During the times of Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt, America was utterly going through its ups and downs with its political identity. Lincoln and Roosevelt each acquired unique skills that predominately shaped America in many different ways. Expectations of government were evolving during the periods of both Presidents because the people wanted more justice and to be a globally recognized country with an immense amount of power. Moreover, Lincoln’s role as being President was to preserve the Union along with initiating the Emancipation Proclamation that ended slavery. On the contrary, Roosevelt strongly influenced America with his enthusiastic ways and reshaped it by establishing powerful imperialistic views, becoming involved in foreign affairs, and assuring that the US get the justice that it deserved. Although both Lincoln and
President Donald Trump and President James Monroe are well known in American society whether today or 300 years ago. Both presidents are similar but are very different in many ways. Though these men are centuries apart, there are some aspects that ring a bell to the two.
In the political cartoon The Evolution of Candidate Donald Trump, many valuable points are brought up. The cartoon represents more a devolution than an evolution, which, in many ways, seems true. When looking at him from one point of view, Trump’s opinions seem primitive, and seem to become even more so as he “evolves”. Above the final image, a small monkey with Trump’s hair, is a black speech bubble asking, “Where is Obama’s birth certificate?” This represents the ways that Trump seemingly tries to bully the other candidates and President Obama himself. During many Candidates Debates, instead of talking about his platform, he brings up negatives of others, often that are not even true, such as that Obama wasn’t American, which forced the White House to release Obama’s birth certificate. Losing his argument, Trump continues to criticize and refuses to believe that it is, in fact, Obama’s actual birth certificate.
The race of the 45th presidency has been interesting to say the least. The presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have shown some similarities and numerous differences. The views of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are expected to be different. Their differences are what makes the candidate a Republican or Democratic nominee. Donald Trump represents the Republican Party and Secretary Clinton represents the Democratic Party. One of the issues that will be mentioned in this paper is the candidate’s plans for taxation. National Security is another issue that both candidates feel strongly about. Another topic that both candidates will touch on is abortion. Both presidential candidates take different stances on the issues.
Donald Trump is known for his eccentricity and unconventional businesses practices. He exhibits an unconventional leadership style. Donald Trump started early to develop his personal brand, this is exhibited by every piece of real estate Mr. Trump owns. Every casino, building or golf course has his name on it. He is eccentric, powerful, but yet he makes very smart business decisions. He is also a risk taker. All these business skills have made him a very well recognized business leader, and one of the nations most known billionaires. Donald Trump has appeared in many magazines, has written a couple of books, and even gotten his own show on NBC called “The Apprentice”. But what makes Donald Trump successful in almost every endeavor he takes on? Was he born a leader? or did he just become a great leader. There are certain characteristics common in all leaders. Some of those are values, skills and cognitive abilities. Mr. Trump exhibits all of these traits. If this is what has made him as successful as he is, why are certain leaders not able to achieve his type of success? Perhaps he has something extra that has propelled him above everybody else. Everything that he touches seems to turn to gold. Donald Trump’s leadership styles have made him rich, powerful, famous and known through out the world. This paper will examine some of those leadership styles.
That is a well- known fact. His tenacity and impeccable negotiating skills are by far what has propelled him through various business ventures thus far. Some see this as a plus dealing with foreign leaders, being a general who will stick to his guns, never wavering on his beliefs. A Pitbull in a suit so to speak, who is not going to back down. That whole “You aren’t going to run over US, our president won’t let you” type of mentality provides many of his supporter’s security. Trump holds nothing back. His filter is nonexistent. Spewing venom that most people wouldn’t dare to approach. He is relentless and cunning. Though he has no ideology whatsoever, his fearless doggedness has appealed to many with pent up frustration and anger with no particular place to put it. Except in that little voting booth. Power was finally
