I also agree that most people who volunteer do so for the sake of helping others, rather than for selfish reasons. I think it's fair to say that people do good because they want to make differences and give back to their communities. Charitable giving in any form involves a sacrifice of some kind, whether it be time or money; therefore, it makes reasonable sense to say that it is done for good intentions. The whole "feeling good" or satisfaction aspect can and should result from volunteering, but I wouldn't consider as the primary motivator to do good.
As you had mentioned, people could recognize the issues, topics, current events, and organizations that align with their views and goals in order to better motivate themselves to volunteer.
volunteering is important in the public sector because it helps the public services save money other than the military as the military reservists get paid but it is still voluntary. I got all my information from the websites which are for the organisation. the benefits of volunteering are:
Volunteering is a large part many nonprofit organizations. A volunteer is choosing to donate their personal time and resources to the cause they support. By volunteering, an individual has an outlet to express their values or embrace a particular culture within pout society.
...ittle could actually mean a lot to those who appreciate it. I also learned that doing something for others could be really fun. Volunteering with the VFW also increased my social skills. By working at the hamburger fest I got to work with other people and that increased my social skills. Doing voluntary work does not have to be boring. If you volunteer with friends or family it could not only benefit you by having fun with people you know, but it could also benefit others as well.
Preparing for college starts well before senior year in high school. The primary purpose of a high school is to get students to go to college. The purpose of going to college is to gain work-related skills and knowledge on the career path a student takes which will eventually be their future. Also, students are investing a lot of money to attend colleges, so they count on high school to prepare them for what they are going to expect in college.
Today in America, personal ambition serves the common good. Motivates successful individuals drive social and economic progress and set strong examples for others. In order to help the common good, the common good must first help themselves. Instead of relying on others and the government for assistance, we should all reflect on ourselves and see what we can do for ourselves. If everyone helped themselves no one would need to be helped. Reliance on others is a huge problem with in our society, including a reliance on the government, other citizens and technology, and a reliance on others to help us achieve everyday activities. If we all tried self helping ourselves the world would be a much better place.
In discussions of attempting to college, one controversial issue has been worth or not worth go to college. On the one hand some people argue that many students just assist to college to get the financial aid. On the other hand some people contends that a lot of students come to waste their time. Others even maintain that a lot of students come to college to get a better education and a better future. My own view is that I am going to college to get a better job and a better life.
Specifically, volunteering brings in revenue from nonprofits and “free” work. In fact, in 2009 an estimated value of $169 billion dollars was contributed to America in volunteer participation (Corporation for National and Community Service). Volunteers bring an unexpected abundance of revenue that appears in unpaid work. In addition, it enhances communication within a society. Significantly, volunteering provides insight from first hand experiences for the community’s wants and needs and if these wants and needs are being met by volunteers communicating their volunteer experiences (Young). When there is better communication within a community it is easier to understand what the wants and needs are for a society to better function. Finally, it provides services in many different forms. For instance, in a local sense volunteers can benefit many sectors such as public works and transportation; public safety, health, and human services; parks and recreation; and support functions (Young). Like stated above, it is evident that there are many different types of volunteer jobs that can be done and anyone can help by using their personal strengths to better the community. Overall, there are many economic benefits that are brought to a community that essentially leads to a safer

Going to college can be good and bad for you. College Students and parents do not think that going to college is worth the money that they have to pay. Some people do not even have enough money to go to college, so what are the people that do not have enough money for college supposed to do for a living? I believe in doing your best and working to your fullest potential. By doing this, I believe that you can accomplish many great obstacles in life. For example, you can achieve many things by doing your best in school. If you work hard in class, turn your homework in on time, and study for tests, you can be a highly successful student.
Volunteering enables a person to develop new skills that he or she would otherwise not have been able to develop. Unlike most other organizations, a charitable organization is happy to give positions to passionate, though inexperienced, individuals who desire to help others and benefit the community. Therefore, an individual with little experience in a field of work can gain meaningful skills that he or she can use in the future. For example, while I volunteered at the hospital this summer, I learned about the daily work lives and professional duties of doctors and nurses. Had I not volunteered, I would not have learned about these things. I was always interested in the medical field, but volunteering at the hospital let me explore my interests and en...
It also educates them about events that they might want to attend, or ways that they can get involved in initiatives should they feel inclined to do some local good, and provides examples of the magic that can happen when people come together to help each other, possibly inspiring them to do so more often as they realise the impact their actions could have. All of this information is a matter of public interest because, as noted in the mission statement, when people work together everyone achieves
Volunteering benefits a person by building connections with peers, improving family life, expanding career skills, overcoming self doubt, having lasting life impressions, and creating new opportunities. Just a small act can make a huge difference in someone’s life. The future is dependent on the individual person and the people they surround themselves with. Just a few hours will change both the volunteer’s life and the one that is in need.
When you think of good deeds what comes to mind? Do you really think about doing something good? Well, through experience, not many people in the world are nice. Trying to do good, is easier said than done. Why do we continue to do it though? Not everyone needs kindness to make their life happy.
