One of the things you likely hear over and over is likely about socializing your dog. What exactly does that mean, though, and why is it so important? Socializing your dog is the process of introducing them to people and other animals and letting them become more comfortable with strangers. They never know when, say, a person is going to be nice or mean, and potentially cause them harm. So, their aggression is more of a self-defense mechanism. By socializing them, they will learn that they are safe from harm, and that their fears are unfounded.
3. Your Dog Will Be Happier
A socialized dog will be more open to playing with other dogs, opening them up to having more fun in parks when they meet new dogs. The fact that they will be less afraid and aggressive will also add to their happiness, because they will have more control over themselves in situations, and will not be getting reprimanded by you as much, but rewarded for their good behavior.
4.They Will Be Better Able to Cope With Situation
A socialized dog will be much better able to handle stressful situations. Say you bring home a new baby, who requires a great deal of care. This can lead to you and your partner becoming more and more stressed, which the dog can pick up on. When they are not socialized, a dog may react even more negatively to the situation. If you have socialized them, they may still get upset due to your stress, but there will be less of a risk of them harming themselves or

Like humans, dogs need exercise. It is wise to take house-dogs on walks throughout the day. It helps them burn off energy and work their muscles. Dogs are also very social and need interaction with other pets and their humans. Once or twice a week the owners should take their dog to a puppy playground or dog park; this gives them the opportunity to become socialized. Denying these basic elements of a dog's life is one of the worst forms of animal abuse. This is the practice of puppy mills across the country.
The schools that Greg build were not used and it is named as Ghost school, these ghost schools were known as one of CAI issues, but Greg did not bothered to fix it beside making excuse that people did not let their children attending schools. According Krakauer’s Part 3, page 47 in his book, a man named Tanya Rosen, who was an international lawyer, traveled to Pakistan and found ghost schools and learned that those schools were not provided with any funding for teaching and supplies. Although Greg is successfully promoting his book, people still put donating money to CAI, yet they did not know that their money were spent a lot but little was accomplished according to Krakauer’s article “Is It Time to Forgive Greg Mortenson?”. Based on the article,
Dogs should be trained to be around people and other pets at an early age. Training a dog to listen and obey is the most important factor (Marketwire). A dog can simply be bored and want to play aggressively. No matter the breed a dog can always be trained not to be violent (“CAUSES OF DOG”). An improperly trained dog can turn out to be mean and aggressive. Also allowing your dog to practice these behaviors will cause them to adapt to them. Exposing a dog to new things will help it become comfortable with them and recognize them. Dogs use their bark as an alarming system (Marketwire). Knowing when and why a dog is aggressive is a key factor for changing this
All dogs, like humans, have the potential to either be nice or mean, respond well or poorly to the environment, and interact with others either up to par with social standards or not. The amount and type of socialization
Several studies have examined the effects of dog ownership on people's physical and mental health. Dog ownership produces considerable health benefit and provides social support that encourages dog owners to walk (Cutt et al.2007 ). Pet owners appear to have lower systolic blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels(Anderson et al 1992). Pet owners with serious mental illness living in the community demonstrate higher social community integration(Zimalog and Krupa 2009). Socially excluded participants who performed in the presence of a dog report higher mental well-being compared with socially excluded participants who did not work in the presence of a dog (Nilüfer et al 2012). Although there is evidence suggesting that dog ownership can improve people's physical and mental health, there is little research documenting the psychological and behavioral effects of dog-assisted therapy, especially on elderly patients with dementia, who have dif...
Training your dog is the most important part of canine companionship. A happy dog is one who has structure and boundaries. Dogs are pack animals, and as such, they need guidance in the behavior that you expect from them. If you don't follow through in this leadership role, then the dog will naturally feel as if it is his place to do so. A dog that understands that you are the leader will naturally be easier to train.
You will realize that dogs are normally curious by nature and wants to learn something new. Dogs can also be instinctive at times. Training them will go a long way in ensuring that your dog uses its brains
There are some people who think that a puppy automatically knows everything to do. For example they think that puppies know they shouldn't chew on shoes and furniture. But just as a child or toddler becomes bored and explores his surroundings, so puppies do the same. Young dogs have a seemingly inexhaustible supply of energy to run and play, and if not thoroughly exercised by playing appropriate games such as Fetch, they will become destructive inside the house. Another misconception related to being exercised is behavior. If a puppy is kept in a crate for eight hours a day and then let out only to go to the bathroom, then the puppy will have listening issues because the puppy has been confined and needs to run around and the owner refuses to oblige it. Also as young puppies, it is important to socialize them frequently with both multiple different animals and people. If not, the animal could act lovable to a family, but when a stranger comes into the yard, the animal could turn into a ferocious beast that could cause traumatic accidents to anyone. Dogs can be socialized simply by having friends come over to the house for a few minutes a day just to say hello. By taking a little time and energy and applying these simple rules, a new dog owner can have a wonderfully loving
Dogs communicate with each other through body language, eyes and facial expressions, vocalisation and gustatory (scents, pheromones and taste). There are a number of signals dogs use to communicate with other dogs. It is a universal language which can easily and simply read between themselves and effect the way they behave and react to one another. Dogs have developed ways of giving off calming signals to calm themselves or one another and even humans which can help diffuse situations and help reduce aggression and conflict. These signals include sniffing the ground or distracted sniffing, looking away, slowing their movement, sitting or lying down, lip licking, soft face, turning away/turning of head and yawning.
socialization he or she needs to become a good canine citizen. Socialization training is vital to making your new puppy a good canine citizen, as dog aggression is a growing problem in many areas. A properly socialized dog learns how to play properly with other dogs, and overly aggressive play is punished by the other dogs in the play group. This type of play learning is something that happens among siblings in litters of puppies. As the puppies play with each other, they learn what is appropriate and what is not.
It is important to be aware of what dog breed one is adopting because it totally depends on one’s lifestyle. Some dogs are not suitable for families, for example hunting dogs, since they are used in settings like countrysides where they are always active and running around. When such a dog is kept at home with no activities, they tend to get behavioral issues. One should consider the age of the dog and whether it is good with kids and around people. Some dogs when left at home alone develop anxiety and this later emanates into behavioral issues (Reese et al. 58).
