DOES THE BIBLE SUPPORT MICROEVOLUTION
Microevolution is a result of rearranging and slight modification of the original gene pool or genetic information through sexual reproduction thereby causing small-scale changes within a population. Microevolution is also the slight or small variation within organisms due to their response to a different environment .This change is an adaptability mechanism to allow survival within specific

Microevolution has always been seen as an example of God's omniscient characteristics in creating all life forms with the ability to adjust to change. God is an all knowing God and created all animals to reflect his glory and also his wisdom. When God created the heavens and the earth the bible said behold it was good, meaning everything that was created by God is good and has order. Therefore the issue of micro evolution is supported in the bible ,Microevolution is also accepted by creation …show more content…
As people age there are different characteristics that tend to change such as the ability to see or the ability to conceive. A biblical example is that of Isaac when he wanted to bless his son Esau but because he was old and blind he was deceived and he blessed Jacob instead. Genesis 27 verse 1 states that, “when Isaac was old and his eyes were so weak that he could no longer see’. This is therefore proof that the bible supports micro evolution .When Sarah was of old age and the angels promised her a baby she laughed because she was of old age and knew that it was impossible for her to give birth. Genesis 18 verse 11 says ‘Abraham and Sarah were already old and well advanced in years, and Sarah was past the age of child bearing”. Therefore this verse shows that the bible is in support of microevolution and some of its limitations it brings

It is the reader and his or her interpretive community who attempts to impose a unified reading on a given text. Such readers may, and probably will, claim that the unity they find is in the text, but this claim is only a mask for the creative process actually going on. Even the most carefully designed text can not be unified; only the reader's attempted taming of it. Therefore, an attempt to use seams and shifts in the biblical text to discover its textual precursors is based on a fundamentally faulty assumption that one might recover a stage of the text that lacked such fractures (Carr 23-4).

The teaching of the Bible should shape the church’s views on humanity. However, the teaching of the church should not be oblivious of the naturalist explanations of the important issues concerning Anthropology, because Christianity makes bold truth claims about the origin of humanity. It has to face the counter-claims with a fair consideration of their merits. For example the antiquity of humanity has been taken for granted for many years until only recently with the challenges coming from natural sciences. This forces Christians to re-evaluate their claims in order to reconcile what they have always believed with the new findings in science. In response, Christians have either rejected all anthropological data, or argued for the non-historical nature of the text of the Bible, or tried to reconcile biblical information with the scientific data.

For instance, it is clear between both creation and evolution that an intelligent creator cannot be proven or denied. In a scientific aspect, the existence of an intelligent designer cannot be denied, due to the lack of evidence that contradicts otherwise. On the other hand, creationists cannot prove the existence of an intelligent designer but indefinitely believes through a concept called faith. In addition, both concepts agree that microevolution occurs. For example, since the arrival of sparrows to North America, mutations have occurred from different locations. The northern sparrows have adapted to a larger body than the southern sparrows, in order to survive lower temperatures. Along with these similarities, evolution and creation both acknowledges that apes and humans show
