Of Mice And Men is a realistic fiction book by John Steinbeck. It is about two migrant workers named Lennie and George. George is small and smart and Lennie is very big and strong. He is also not intelligent at all. I think that Steinbeck was successful and did a good job at making Lennie a sympathetic character in this story. Steinbeck did this by making Lennie childlike and very innocent. Lennie has several character traits that make him who he is and explains his personality. Some of which are that he is loyal, innocent, unintelligent, childlike, and kind. These make a character like Lennie sympathetic in my opinion.
