Does life have a meaning? In this article The Value of Life” includes this one man named Roger Ebert. This article explains from a man having a “perfect life” to the worst life, but he did not see it as a bad thing he valued his life more when this one tragedy happened. He valued life more than anyone can ever imagine, and lived his life with happy moment. Mr. Ebert had a meaning to his life that he shared with others. This article “What is Life Worth” is putting a price on life its own self. It is challenging the readers to think deeply on how they value their own life and how they cherish the little pieces of it. He did care about his life at one point, but after when he fell deeply in love with Ophelia he started going mad even though he really wasn’t mad. He was thinking about suicide and in the reader he says a line about death which is:” To die to sleep no more and by a sleep to say we end the heartache and the thousands natural shocks”. From Shakespeare poem this quote means he is suicidal, Hamlet does not value his and in that quote he probably did not even know his life was worth something but it meant something to other people and he was being selfish that he wanted to die. This quote “When I am writing my problems become invisible and I am the same person I always was. All is well. I am as I should be”. What Ebert said here was powerful because even though he has problem but when he writes it down it disappeared like he never even had cancer in his jaw and hip problems and that damage he has in his body he feels like himself when he was still making films he feels like himself back in the day when he felt alive that he was healthy, when he did not have any worries that is what he meant by that quote, but he still feels like he is that same exact
