Imagine if you were a pregnant girl and you had the choice of picking between an abortion or keeping your baby. You've always wanted a baby but right now isn't the right time. You want an abortion, you haven't told anyone about it. If you have an abortion, bad things will happen. But you don’t care, you just want the burden of taking care of a child. You are like most of the women in the U.S. There are more choices than abortion, and there are some consequences for having one. Therefore, you shouldn’t have an abortion.
First off, the health risks the mother could face when doing an abortion could sometimes lead to death. Instead of risking the chance of a serious health problem, the mothers who are considering abortions should just have their child even if they don’t want it. Very rarely does an abortion cause a mother's death, the health risks the face can always happen. "Abortions only fail about 2-8% of the time"("Should"). "Some health risks include heavy bleeding, pelvic infection, cut or torn cervix, blood clots, and even incomplete abortion"("Should"). These are the health risks the mother could face when having an abortion.
Secondly, the people who had the baby should have to deal with taking care of their baby.

Parents need to take responsibility when they know there having a child(WOMEN'S). If the parents want an abortion, then why did they have unprotected sex and make a baby. The parents that have abortions are taking away the lives of innocent babies(WOMEN'S). "In a study, 59% of women that have abortions, are mothers on at least their third child"(Zerwick). It's not hard to take care of a baby, it's not easy, but it's not hard. The parents could always ask someone to help them when their busy or even if there having a rough time trying to get themselves together. Therefore, parents or couples, should take responsibility when having a child. Most importantly, innocent babies should not be killed because the parents don’t want it. "Nearly one million abortions are performed in the U.S every year"(Zerwick). Instead of doing an abortion, you can always put the child up for adoption. There are so many families out there waiting to adopt. The women fortunate enough to have a child don't know what it's like to not have a family or to not be able to have a baby. Think before you have an abortion, if you decide to go through the pregnancy and you don’t want it there is a family for a baby. You could make someone's life better. Therefore, that is why you should have your baby instead of getting an abortion. However, in the case of rape, abortion may be the case because the girl doesn’t want it, or never wanted it in the first place.
If someone was involved in a rape case, and they ended up being pregnant you wouldn’t want the baby you didn’t want in the first place. You wouldn’t have the father there and having the baby would just remind you on what happened that day you got raped. Even though you want an abortion, a child's life doesn’t need to end. If you just carry out your pregnancy and put the baby up for adoption you wouldn’t have to worry about anymore. If you do get raped, maybe talk to someone and get their opinion. Just put it up for adoption. That is why you shouldn’t get an abortion if you get
raped. In the end, abortions can lead to lots of things. It could lead to serious health risks or emotional problems. Also, if people didn’t do abortions more people would have more responsibility for things they do. If abortions were ban there would also be less babies killed, and everyone would be happy. Lastly, rape is a completely different situation. The women may not want it or doesn’t want the burden of taking care of a baby she didn’t want by themselves. There are more choices than abortion, make the right one.
I believe, that if you don’t think you are capable of giving your child a decent life, that they will be able to be successful in, you should consider your all options, maybe being a parent isn’t right for you. Every child deserves happiness and I hate seeing people treat their children poorly, abusing them, and neglecting them. If you do not want kids, you shouldn’t have them, no child should live feeling unwanted. I also stand by the fact that it is no one’s business unless you include them in the fact that you are having an abortion, I see few ways in how it may affect the rest of the world, if you decide not to have a child or not. All women reserve the right of privacy, and of course a choice. It isn't up to the government to tell women to give birth or not, and that’s why the law is the way it is. According to ("EsMBA." Five Major Pro Choice Abortion Arguments. N.p., n.d. Web. 25 Aug. 2016. )Most women were using a method of birth control that didn't work properly. By denying women abortions, who never intended to have children or become pregnant, forces them have children they don't want. Unwanted childbirth can have a severely negative impact on a person’s life, forcing them to raise another human, and take time away from that person’s necessities, and effecting every single day
Another thing to take into consideration is the physical health risks during and after an abortion. As Ring-Cassidy and Gentles(2003) said “Abortion is never with out risks”(p. 89), this tells us that you can never be sure your going to come out completely fine when you go in for an aborti...
...n ever truly understand someone else’s unique circumstances or reasons for not wanting to raise a child. Forcing a woman to carry a baby to term against her will, no matter what the circumstance, is not a moral good. The decision to bring a child into the world should be a wanted event, not a burden or a punishment. Only the woman herself can know whether she is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to raise a child. Women have fought long and hard to vote and have equal rights and repealing legal abortion will set not only woman back, but society as well. No woman should be denied access to birth control, sexual education, counseling, and a safe, legal free abortion. The physical and mental well-being of the collective society is to everyone’s benefit when it is good. A government that invests in the health of its taxpayers is a wise and happy government.
Rape is a despicable crime against women. Opinions are heated, and it seems that everybody has something to say about pregnancy in the case of rape. The woman who suffered from the sexual assault are more likely to experience distress after or during an abortion. When a woman gets raped, it isn’t wanted. If one was in that situation they wouldn’t want to constantly think about the fetus and how and when it occurred. One should not be obligated to go through the particular child birth. Who would want to give birth to a baby that would suffer his or her life not knowing who the father
Are you giving it a label to convince me that killing the fetus is not wrong, or are you convincing yourself? This is a mostly ethical point of view on abortion. If a woman is pregnant, she should accept the responsibility of having the child and if she doesn’t want the child, to give it up for adoption. You say it is your right to have control over your body, but where was that control when the child was conceived? As for rape, well, I have a story to tell about the ability to love that child.
policy issue at hand is whether the decision to terminate the pregnancy be given to the mother or
Abortion is a voluminous topic today all around the world. Differing viewpoints on abortion are recognized in politics, religion, and throughout the general population. There is a small amount of people who are nonchalant on the subject. Women have abortions for many different reasons and according to certain groups these reasons are either justified or not. Everyone tends to have their own articulated opinion, and many vocalize tenaciously what they believe. Pro-life individuals along with religion are sanguine that abortion is ethically and morally erroneous. Whereas those who are pro-choice say that abortion is inconsequential and the mother’s choice is more important than the fetus. Reasons to not get an abortion include risks involved in receiving an abortion. In some cases death can occur. However, there are other alternatives to abortion. For example, raising the child and adoption.
The procedure causes health complications for the mother, inflicts pain on a living fetus, and kills the unborn baby. Late-term abortion induces innumerable physical health complications to the patient, including severe infections, extreme bleeding, and damage to the uterus. In addition, one analysis, in relation to abortion problems, states, “from 1988 to 1997 found the risk of death increased by 38% for each additional week of gestation, during the pregnancy.” (Jones).
On the other hand, I could understand if you’ve been rapped and do not want to have the child because it might remind you of that certain situation. Therefore I think we can fix this abortion problem by making a law something like if you’ve been rapped you can abort it but first special doctors will have to check or do a test if you’ve been rapped. Or if the woman decides not to abort, she can always look for other parents that might want to adopt the child. But, going back to my first sentence, I honestly don’t think anyone should abort because the poor child didn’t say that they wanted to come into this world at all. Therefore, whatever you plan to do, make the right decision before you do anything stupid.
...arring it completely in the face they don’t know exactly how they will react. . I have never been raped and I can only imagine the effect it would have on me. I hope that in reading this information you will have more of an opened mind to decision of abortion in rape cases.
A person being pregnant and wishing they weren't is probably the worst feelings a woman can have. A women knowing that if they brought a child into the world and they didn't want it, or they would have to give it up for adoption is such a disheartening way to start off, and mother and the un-born child would be so much better off if they were to terminate the pregnancy and wait for a more appropriate time, or in the case of rape, put the past behind them and move on. Women should have the choice because not everyone knows what the situation was. In today’s society people have attached shame with the word abortion. When people hear of abortions they automatically assume it was the mothers fault and she didn’t use protection or may...
Many people try to justify their actions for abortions, insisting that it is in the best interests of the child. The reasons women have abortions are not simple and can be difficult to understand, they can cover a broad range from rape, deformity, not being able to provide for the child, in another relationship, or unplanned pregnancy. Some women state, “I may not be able to provide it with a good life” to “It was bad timing and I can’t support a child right now”. In the case of rape it’s not the baby’s fault, instead of punishing the criminal it is giving the ultimate sentence to the child, the capital punishment death. “The circumstances of a preborn child's creation should not modify, let alone negate, his or her right to life. In other words, the preborn baby has a right to life regardless of the circumstances under which he or she w...
Abortion is a very controversial issue in our society. However, people tend to feel differently about abortions for rape victims. The contriversy over the abortion issue is that if a woman is responsible enough to go through the actions to become pregnant, she should be able to have the child. Churches believe that abortion is murder. However, if a woman is raped, she did not give her consent to have sexual intercourse with the offender. According to Schuman and Scott, although there are many people that have mixed feelings about abortion, in other words they believe that it is okay at some times, but at other times they feel that it is wrong, the most extreme pro-life people still believe that abortion is wrong “when pregnancy results from rape or incest.” (Schuman and Scott 786) In these situations, however, pro-choice believe that women have as much right to choose what happens to their body. According to Kimmel, in some states abortion is only legal in “cases of rape or of a threat to the mother’s health” (Kimmel 255).
One of the primary reasons that abortion should be illegal is that it causes a lot of complications for women to have health problems that can lead to death. One of the things that cause complication to women’s health is having unsanitary abortion; women tend to receive abortion from people who are unskilled. (Shahbazi). This is one of the major things that cause death to women after they have the abortion. According to Ziraba et al, For example, in Kenya, many women are experiencing a
