Do you think violent video games and tv shows make children violent? I don't believe that to be true. It's true that the youth has become a little more violent, but I don't think video games and tv shows are to blame. Violent kids usually come from bad homes, usually have mental disorders, and sometimes they have violent and abusive people around them. Are television shows and video games really to blame? In most cases, violent children come from a bad home. For example, the child's parents could be alcoholics or drug addicts, and the adults in their life could be abusive. Usually, kids let out their frustration caused by these issues by becoming more violent. They get in more fights, and sometimes are bullies. Some children view this as an outlet for anger. This is only one of the many things that could contribute to the violent tendencies of a child. …show more content…
Most of the time, mental disorders are the ones to blame for violent acts. Some disorders cause children to act out because they have trouble controlling themselves. Autism is an example of this. Other disorders cause children to think differently and behave differently. To tie things together, a mental complication could be the reason to blame for violent children. A third reason why a child might become aggressive is that people around the child are aggressive, violent, or abusive. For example, a lot of meaner kids have been bullied. They have probably become more assertive as a defense mechanism, to prevent being bullied again. Another example is that the child's guardians are abusive to them. The kid is scared and angry about this, so they might take it out on their peers. Overall, a third reason why a kid might be violent is that people around that child may be aggresive, violent, or even
Furthermore, “Kids naturally seek attention.” states Raykeil Hiedi again. This can cause children to act out so mommy and daddy will pay attention to them. The child wants to know that their parents care about what they’re doing, even if the child acts out in a good or bad behavior.
Do you think kids get more and more violent after playing video games? I think that kids do get more violent and learn more negative things from video games. Such as when kids play games like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Call of Duty they want to shot and kill people. Games like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto are rated M for a reason. An M rated game means mature, so you have to be 17 or older to purchase. Young 13 year olds should not be playing these games and getting so much negativity out of the game. So I think video games do cause kids and teens to do violent things.
When it comes to the topics of violence, murder, and mayhem among children, most will readily agree that children who committed these acts did so because their environmental situation inspired it. However, like me, some are convinced that biological factors are the main reasons children commit violent acts.
One reason is there are several stereotypes: sexual/physical abuse, hereditary factors and exposure to violence at home. Second reason that leads to violent behavior is physical neglect by parents. Third reason is juveniles was incarcerated for acts of violence such as: fighting peers or their parents, hitting teachers or instructors, bringing weapon to school to scare his peers and etc. All these come from mistreatment to their children when they was younger. When that happen all children start going crazy and not listening to their parent or anyone that been in their shoes before they was born to even see this happen.
...dolescents to weapons. In many cases children have access to a weapon, particularly a handgun, within their own home. With lack of supervision, children experiment with these dangerous weapons, and may even take them out of their homes. Another contributing factor to violent acts among children is the role of the media and the way that television and movies portray violence. Every where you turn on television and in movies, you see someone killing someone or someone getting killed. Kids see the brutal ways, or the quick and smart schemes of combat tactics. They falsely believe that these types of behaviors are acceptable, because the next week they are back on the show demonstrating another episode of violent acts, with no consequences.
If the child has been victimised and has experienced violence this can make it harder for them to control their behaviour and make them express a lot of anger. The child can become overly dependent on family members and close friends.
Most violence comes from not knowing (ignorance) and bad environments. Children act out as a cry for help, when a child is deliberately misbehaving that is a signal that something is wrong in their environment. When
Some children who have violent tempers acquire them through their parents. Could this be a motive for these children to go out a killing sprees? But then again the question of whether or not the child is being abused is brought into prospective. Some say if a child is beat or abused in any other way, that would be a incentive for them to be violent. But is this rational? Most children who have had encounters with violence are usually white, intelligent, middle class and heterosexual. Sounds like a pretty normal child doesn’t it? But what reason could be behind this for such a typical child to react in such a hurtful way? Some would say because of the parents. Put the blame on the parents.
There are many factors that lead people to use violence. They use violence when they are stressed, angry, feeling hatred, drink too much alcohol, use drug. Children are more likely to grow up as violent men if they are influenced by their parents, brothers, sisters and friends, all of whom use violence.
Growing up, a child puts up walls, a certain mask that shields them from all the hurt and all the anger that has bottled up inside. These children are taught to use words instead of their fists, taking away the primary instinct to use violence as a way to get their point across. Because, violence isn’t the answer. Violence tends to just lead to more violence, which in turn causes the whole issue to blow out of proportion.
There are many views as to whether video game violence causes children to behave violently. Many children play violent games because that is what most people are playing and they feel that they need to do so as well. Violence is not only in video games but also in all other forms of media because that is what sells and what will make entertainment companies more money.
The main reason know for many studies is the family. It could be that the parents does not pay attention to their kids or that there is just not enough communication between them. It some of the worst and sadness cases is because this kids grow up with this violence at home. After time this kids get used to it and think that is just a normal thing that humans do. So, when this people become adults the aggressive and bossy behavior that they carry with all people for them is just something normal.
Sometimes, children think that is a normal thing in our real life, by watching only a single violent program, which can increase aggression on children and become violent, aggressive, and vicious. Usually, U.S. children begin watching television at a very early age, sometimes as early as six months, and are eager viewers by the time they are two or three years old. The amount of time that children spend watching television is very interesting because like four hours a day, 28 hours a week, by the time they graduate from high school, children spend more time watching TV than any other activity, besides sleeping. However, children that watch many programs in which violence is very real, parents show no affinity toward violence and that is why the child thinks that violence is not bad. Normally children cannot tell the differences between real and unreal, that is why young viewers are unable to realize that when a character attacks someone it is real and should not be imitated by them.
Furthermore, television violence causes aggressive behavior in children. Many people believe that children who watch violent television programs exhibit more aggressive behavior than that exhibited by children who do not (Kinnear 23). According to the results of many studies and reports, violence on television can lead to aggressive behavior in children (Langone 50). Also, when television was introduced into a community of children for the first time, researchers observed a rise in the level of physical and verbal aggression among these children (Langone 51). The more television violence viewed by a child, the more aggressive the child is (“Children” 1).
According to the scientist research, when children see violence, they become to aggressive way and want to destroy it for little pieces.
