In today’s society, technology is a requirement for a company to be productive and advance in the business environment. Organizational structure determines how roles and responsibilities are assigned, and how information flows between the different levels of management. In an organizational workforce environment, there are several levels of management, their responsibilities are to know why organizational changes are necessary and must effectively communicate that to the workforce, implement and sustain change. Human relations skills can be enhanced by having a better understanding of human personality requirements in areas which improvements are needed. However, employees in the work-place under stress exhibit a greater tendency for accidents, and show an inability to concentrate on their immediate tasks and outside the work-place, may show signs of drugs and alcohol abuse. Employee’s attention needs to be focused on required procedures in order to perform their job well. Each individual have set responsibilities. As stated by (Ivancevich, Konopaske, & Matteson) more efforts should be devoted to ensuring individuals know proper procedures and guidelines thoroughly, therefore eliminating the possibility of anxiety, the ability to deal with sudden malfunctions in different processes, and offer thorough training and testing of one’s ability to deal with contingency procedures. Practicing diversity and ethics in the workforce is important to most organizations who want to gain the loyalty of employees and trust of their consumers. Ethics starts with the basic assumptions all employees live according to basic moral guidelines and conduct themselves in the work environment accordingly. People from different backgrounds can bring fresh ideas and perceptions, which can make the way work is processed more efficiently. Individuals from different cultures observe, generate ideas, collect, and exchange information. Understanding different people’s cultures increase and develop balance and improvement in their essential roles. There are differences in diversities among individuals; however it is beneficial to focus less on the differences between workers and more on what will bring them together. In the workplace some organizations lack diversity and experience deterioration of employees moral and a drop in productivity. A company needs a diversity plan that details the policies and relies on every member of the workplace to implement and adhere to its strategies. Working in an environment among peers with negative attitudes can cause people to become less motivated and a decline in their performance. When there is an excessive amount of tension, individuals are unable to focus on the importance of their performance. Managing diversity more effectively makes good sense.
