POW! The sounds of gunshots send the members of Abnegation dissipating in affright as asinine Dauntless march into the Abnegation headquarters armed and at the command of the Erudite and more specific, Jeanine Matthews. These fatuous, mind-controlled robots were oblivious of their actions, because this one woman became covetous for power.
The book Divergent elaborates on this event, before and after, and is proof of what Tris’s mom said on page 441, “Human beings as a whole cannot be good for long before the bad creeps back in and poisons us again,” although in certain areas her statement is contradicted and once, even by herself. History backs up Tris’s mom, Natalie Prior, and her belief with examples of evil people or groups being poisoned by evil, terminating any period of good that was occurring before them. In history, recent and long ago, there have been periods of time when certain leaders and nations or just simple groups have been massacred innocent people by the thousand and even millions simply because of their race or beliefs. The only title given to these people is “evil”.
The book begins in a society that has resorted to factions to keep peace, and each faction is known for a single trait that the members of that faction practice to achieve mastery in. There were five factions: Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless, and Erudite. Ever since the factions were created, or as far as anyone can remember, the have maintained a society without war even though some factions don’t exactly enjoy the other’s company sometimes. According to the way Tris acted, the factions seemed stable and normal to her, and she didn’t have a thought in her mind that they could ever mutate into a warzone. By the descriptions in the book, Tris ...

...him, because he was making Germany a great nation. Then, out of his hatred for the Jews, he began World War two which almost completely ended Germany’s economy and nation. Hitler, unlike a lot of others, was poisoned from a very young age, but he suppressed it until came to power and then struck.
Although Natalie Prior is right about the bad returning to poison humanity, her actions, if speculated in the correct perspective, contradict her own statement and prove just the opposite. The opposite would be that humans can proceed to be just and keep the bad out without letting it return to poison humans as a whole. Maybe neither of those ideas is precisely accurate. Maybe humanity can’t exclude the bad and gets poisoned from time to time, but that doesn’t mean the good just vanishes. It’s always there, and Natalie’s actions combined with her words prove exactly that.
Tris changes from being unsure and weak to a strong, brave, and determined in the book, Divergent. In the beginning of the story, Tris thinks she is not selfless enough to be in Abnegation. She is even more confused as her aptitude test determines she is divergent, a person who has more than one personality type who is suited for more than one faction. As she transfers to Dauntless, Tris realizes that she is at a disadvantage in Stage One, which involved physical activity. She is short and scrawny, and she doesn’t excel in an of the exercises alongside losing the fights. This threatens her chance of passing initiation. As a result of this sudden change, Tris misses her caring family. However, Tris doesn’t mourn and drown in self-pity. Instead,
Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi party, Chancellor of Germany, and leader of Nazi Germany. Hitler was one of the most powerful and notorious dictators of the 20th century. Him invading Poland was one of the main causes of World War two. Eventually Germany was finally defeated in WWII, leaving them financially devastated, and politically unstable.
She presents two contradictory images of society in most of her fiction: one in which the power and prevalence of evil seem so deeply embedded that only destruction may root it out, and another in which the community or even an aggregate of individuals, though radically flawed, may discover within itself the potential for regeneration. Adolf Hitler came into the lime light as a man with a totally reputable objective and the antidote for poverty in Germany after the war. Hitler actually seemed to be living up to his word as he rebuilt the country and so Germans gave his more and more power.
Have you ever stayed perfect your whole life? Of course not! Tris’s mother says “Human beings as a whole cannot be good for long before the bad creeps back in and poisons us again”. I wholeheartedly agree with this statement, in the fact that it is human nature to do wrong things evil misdeeds. This is shown in the book Divergent when the Erudite murder Abnegation members for their own greed and power. Through biblical times as well as in modern day politics we still see people, with good intentions from the start, slowly poisoned by their own voracious greed, and desire for power and wealth.
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked…And they said, There is no
Something that seems to be working well in Tris’ society is the factions mostly keeping to their own and all contributing to help the society become better. Erudite controls the social media and newspapers, Abnegation controls the government, Amity grows the food for the factions and controls farming, and Dauntless is in control of protecting everyone in the city and guarding the gates. All together working as a whole creates the illusion of a perfect society. Until human nature kicks in and the bad contaminates the society. A revolt is in the control of a single faction. Without all the pieces working, ...
Hitler’s passionate hate for Jewish people led to the darkest time in history, the Holocaust. Millions of innocent people become victims at the hands of Hitler, Ellie Wiesel, was one of the many. Wiesel, a famous Holocaust survival, wrote about his experience as a prisoner in Auschwitz. He endeared several years of physical and mental torment. In his time as a prisoner he questioned his faith in God exclaiming, “ I’ve got more faith in Hitler than in anyone else. He’s the only one who’s kept his promises” (Wiesel 77). As Germany’s leader, Hitler took it upon himself to attack the Jewish population, making him infamously unforgettable. Adolf Hitler was Germany’s worst leader because he placed millions of people in inhumane situations, sentenced millions to death, and left his country in ruins.
Everyone knows about the geeks, the freaks, the jocks, the preps, and every other Hollywood idolized clique. Each person in the group donates their own similar attributes, which in turn come together to make the group what it is. In “Divergent”, different classes of people are split into ‘factions’, or, in other words, extreme cliques. These like-minded people have their opinions on how the world was corrupted. The group names and their faction missions are as follows: the Erudite (intelligence), the Dauntless (bravery), the Abnegation (selflessness), Amity (peacekeepers), and the Candor (the honest), all of which uphold their beliefs by exerting the upmost radicality of their manifestos. Each faction then contributes their own ideological products to help all of society. These groupings work “toward a better society and a better world” (pg.44), however, in the end, they are brutally, and massively abraised with the strong will of one lunatic faction member. Others may say that splitting us into groups of peers that we agree with is a good idea, yet it will not take long until the enemy lies and infiltrates our systems, becoming too powerful for our faction to overcome. This is why we all have to mingle, using our talents together for the betterment of society.
Adolf Hitler, said to be one of the most evil political leaders who ever lived, killed a total of six million people just because they were Jewish. Also he killed millions more just because they were not German even though Hitler was one of the most evil political leaders who ever lived; he was also one of the most impressive leaders who have ever lived. Hitler was one of the most powerful leaders in the world, because he changed Germany in ways others couldn’t and still can’t do till this day. Also Adolf Hitler was one of the best public speakers, he had a big influence on his followers, and he expanded Germany. With those points Adolf Hitler became one of the best leaders and he took over a regime single handedly.
Hitler will always be remembered in history as the vicious dictator who started World War II. The crimes that he committed could never be erased from human kind. Even at the last minutes of his life, Hitler still believed that everything he did was out of his obligation of Germany and the Third Reich. The famous Fuhrer was totally convicted that his actions were justifiable. Hitler was indeed a very intelligent man and a clever strategist during his influential reign over Germany. He utilized his skills to gain the enormous support in just a few years. Being the great Fuhrer of Germany, Hitler played an essential role to the revival of the nation. If it was not for Hitler, Germany could had never gone so far, and gotten its achievements in World War II.
Adolf Hitler is known to be one of the “greatest” leaders in history who had abused his powers and had shattered his country apart. Born in 1889 in Austria, Hitler abused his powers because of his greedy ego and because of his narcissism. It all became with Hitler organizing a party called the National Socialist, most popularly know as the Nazi Party. The rise of the Nazi Party was the thing that led to the start of Hitler’s rein and his abuse of power. The Nazi Party eventually led Adolf Hitler to come to rule and had given Hitler the chance to take control the entire nation.
Even if there are parties more at fault, the third most responsible party for the destruction caused by the Holocaust is Hitler. According to Maya Productions, “By blaming the Jews for the economic crisis that Germany was suffering through as well as their defeat in World War I, Hitler targeted the Jews as the country’s main enemy. According to him, the Jewish people were directly responsible for Germany’s many problems” (Why Did Hitler). People followed Hitler because of his place in society. He was the chancellor of Germany and was viewed very

Set in a dystopian future society where everything is organized by faction, Divergent conveys many significant themes even when the fictional work is imagined for the future, the film depicts messages about the present. With a brewing war between Abnegation and Erudite, the film reflects our own societal power struggles. Factions set up with the ultimate goal of eliminating war and violence where it is believed that, “the future belongs to those who know where they belong,” demonstrates that nonconformity is a threat to peace and any who is different can be viewed as inferior. Those who are unable to conform can be illustrated by the factionless in the film. The film also depicts how it is difficult to achieve peace in a society that is separated
