Disney shows and shows similar to such have taught us from a young age the concept of “happily ever after". This is a fairy-tale of absolute happiness. It is a state of feeling good all the time. In fairy tales, this feeling is usually found in fulfilling marriages, royal castles, singing birds and laughing children. In real life sometimes finding that happiness isn’t as easy as a fairy tale makes it look like. Research suggests that if you focus too much on trying to feel good all the time, you’ll actually undermine your ability to ever feel good because no amount of feeling good will be satisfying to you, that is when you become a perfectionist. If feeling good all the time were the only requirement for happiness, then a person who uses cocaine every day would be extremely happy receiving the same euphoria or natural happiness. Natural happiness is what we get when we get what we wanted, and synthetic happiness is what we make when we

A month went by of us packing, getting ready, and us counting down the days until we left for Florida and then Puerto Rico. The day came that we were leaving for Florida. We were in the car for 5 hours. We finally got to the hotel and we went to dinner. After that, we went to the pool and then we went to our rooms and went to sleep.
It was sunny and 85 degrees. It was the life. I soon saw my grandparents and ran to them. We drove back to the resort, and went to our room. It was the biggest room I've ever stayed in. My Mom, Dad, Sister, and I stayed in a room, My cousins and Aunt and Uncle stayed in a room, and my grandparents stayed in a room.
When a tale is told, it is repeated and reconfigured to suit our backgrounds and our name. A tale in reality, is just a memory that has already been experienced and is being shared from a different point of view (Seger 386). Movies like The Jungle Book: a story about a boy raised by wolves in the jungle; and Finding Nemo: a father and his son lose their wife and mother and get separated at the son’s first day at school, have story plots that follow a realistic plot that could occur in a real-life family.
Disney World is one of the happiest places on earth; middle school, not so much. Every kid goes through those horrendous awkward years, and over time comes out of it thanking “God that it’s over”. Whether it be braces, baby fat, or a color-blind sense of style, the pre-adolescent stage is definitely the worst. Every time I look back on those dreadful years I cringe, but I know they’ve shaped who I am today.
The building of Walt Disney World took time and planning. Disney world opened on October 1, 1971, but it wasn’t the same as it is today. It only started as the Magic Kingdom, two hotels, and a campground, and that was what everybody loved. Disney World was named after Walt Disney, even though he wasn’t there when Disney World opened. He died in 1966, but it was his vision that started Disney.
Everything seemed to be going smoothly that morning. Dad loaded the luggage and packed the cooler. He even packed the extra pillows. My family was very happy as we prepared for our trip. I was twelve years old and my brother, Jobie, was ten. My dad had told us for years about his first trip to Disney Land in California when he was a young Marine.
Looking around, I was trying to take in as much as I could: the countless number of people, the bright colors everywhere, and that one iconic castle. Finally, I had made it to that place all the kids talked about. I was finally at Disneyland, and it was absolutely fantastic. As a child impressed by many things, this place far surpassed any other thing my six-year-old, little self had experienced.
The second I stepped foot onto the amusement park’s property, I could feel the magic swirling all around me. As I walked through the crowds of people young and old wearing Disney apparel and Mickey Mouse ears, everything seemed so enchanting: the cheerful music, the twinkly lights on all of the buildings, and the stores that could have been from my favorite Disney movies. Walking along the streets, I took pictures of everything around me because I did not want to forget a single detail; I took pictures of the vibrant yellow, red, and pink flowers that lined the streets, the buildings with intricate details and designs, and the massive roller coasters that glided so swiftly on their tracks. The air was filled with heavenly scents of sweet churros, and I had to get one; it was delectable. Everything at Disneyland seemed perfect and like it was out of a movie. Even as I was about to leave, I got drawn back in; spectacular, bright, colorful fireworks started bursting right over my head, and I could not bring myself to go. My first visit to Disneyland was truly enchanting and magical. At the time I thought no other vacation could
