“Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life” once stated by Albert Einstein. This lesson I learned was on a Disney trip, because you need to spend valuable time with your family while you can. It all started on a cold winter January night in 2015. My mom and dad were surprising my sisters and I for a week trip to Disney World as a “late Christmas present” that only family and close friends knew about. These days before we were about to leave were very very hectic for my parents. There was a gigantic snow storm coming so my parents had to make a different flight for a day earlier so they decided to surprise us a day earlier. As my parents set the boxes in front of us we ripped open the large cardboard box. There was a long paper note that we read silently to ourselves. You hear our loud breaths as we slowly read the sheet of paper. On the note it read “Get ready get set, were going to Disney World, start packing were leaving tomorrow, the magic is waiting” My older sister and I realized it first while my younger sister still tried to figure it out. Suddenly you hear the loudest, happiest screams so loud people …show more content…
could hear us in China. We all ran upstairs to start packing and getting ready to leave the next day. This hour just packing was so exciting, everybody couldn’t stop smiling. Then we got settled in for the night and went to bed. It was that dreadful eight hours of sleep and half of a day until we could get into the car to go to the airport. As we wait around trying to remember if we have everything and finish homework, the time finally came after long hours of waiting.
We were in the airport ready to board. We soon walk onto the plane with the biggest smiles on our face, we get settled in and get ready to take off. After the two hour flight, we can feel our ears pop when we are getting off the plane. Then my parents explained, “Now we are going to go to the Hampton Inn.” As we walk outside we see the dark, starry night. We were all excited, almost as excited as a toddler getting a new toy! After the night spent at the hotel we woke up and headed for the magical express. Once we get to the Disney Resort, we put our stuff down and wanted to go to the park right
away! It was our first day in Disney, we first went to Magical Kingdom and had a blast with all of the rides. As we near the front of the line you hear little kids screaming their head off, while we feel the warm sun against our skin. The week quickly went by. As we go back to the hotel the last day we pack up and get ready to head to the airport. As we get into the airport and almost ready to leave we were as sad as a hurt baby. Once we get into the plane we get settled again. “The flight will be taking off now.” the flight attendant stated. My lesson learned here would be that you should spend valuable time with your family while you can. I have changed from this event because I realized that you are only going to be with your family for so long so enjoy the time you can with them now.
After recording the behaviors of disabled and nondisabled guests at Downtown Disney, it became evident that the social construction of disability may have an influence on the amount of interest or engagement shown between individuals. Based on the observations recorded, it appears that the nondisabled people seemed to show a lack of interest or regard for the disabled people involved in the interactions. Although it may not have been overt, it seemed nondisabled people exhibited subtle signs of superiority over disabled people, appearing to treat them as if they were helpless or burdensome.
After we relaxed for a long time, it was time for me to go and wash off all of the seaweed my hair had collected. I turn on the shower and there is a huge spider waiting for me just sitting there waiting for me. I killed it and then resumed my shower. After I got out and we were all ready leave we didn’t know where to go. Until my sister saw a commercial for this really cool place with alligators and a Ferris wheel, we decided to go there. As we pulled up to the place we noticed that there was an amazing Ferris wheel and I immediately got really excited. But my parents said that I have to wait until after dinner. So we went and ate our amazing dinner and it was so amazing. I ordered the best lobster and crab, it was so
In 2009, my parents and I decided to travel to San Antonio, Texas for vacation. My parents and I have traveled there before, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back. With many places to see and do; my parents thought that we should go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It was at this theme park, where something happened that I would never forget.
You could fit all of Disneyland plus 500 more cars into the parking lot at Disney world. Disney world is 40 sq. miles. To put that in a visual for you it’s the size of all San Francisco. Walt Disney created Disney World because he wanted a place where families could spend quality time and fun together in a safe environment. Disney World’s Magic kingdom is number one world wide the most popular theme park in the whole world with Epcot at a close third. Also according to Buzzfeed Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is the most enjoyed ride at Disney World, and you don’t want to miss out on that. In 1971, 10,000 people came to Disney World’s grand opening. Today the average attendance is 52,000 it says in temporary tourist. Disney world has changed
Every day, Disney World is full of people looking for magic and fun to fulfill their day. There are many different types of entertainment, rides and characters when visiting the parks. When planning a trip to Disney World, visitors can choose from four different parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.
I remember planning for this day for about two years. When I would finally get the chance to be with my best friends and take a road-trip to California to go to Disney Land, and now that the time to take that trip has come and gone I would like to talk about my most important journey.
Everyone who has ever been to Disney World thinks it’s going to be the vacation of a lifetime but when we went it was the vacation from Hell!
Want Disney The amazing Walt Disney was an American entrepreneur, cartoonist, animator, voice actor, and film producer. As a prominent figure within the American animation industry and throughout the world, he is regarded as a cultural icon. I want to talk today about his famous film producer side. I chose to pick Walt Disney as my producer because he made some of the best childhood movies that I will always cherish because it was all I wanted to watch in my younger years.
Two years ago, over winter break I went to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The whole trip was wonderful and memorable but the first day will always be memorable. It took my family almost two whole days on the long drive from our house to Florida. We passed through South Carolina and Georgia until we finally crossed the border into Florida. Florida was the most interesting state to drive through, palm tree lined the sides of the roads and every so often a scenic landscape would lie just outside the car windows. I could feel the anticipation circling around me as we got closer and closer. Disney World was only a couple minutes away. When I finally saw the magical purple signs welcoming me in I knew I was there. My family drove past a lake and we saw Disney Springs. The skyline of the area was amazing as we drove by, it was lined with buildings of all shapes, colors and sizes. There was even a giant hot air balloon amongst them all! After the skyline faded away from our view we drove along the curvy path to our resort. The horses and pastel color scheme warmly welcomed us in. After we got situated we hopped onto a bus and were on our way. We had to prepare for a day of riding rides, traveling the world and watching fireworks. Our
Lindsay Frazin WR2 Professor Chao 3 February 2016 The “Magic” Behind the Kingdom The name “Disneyland” has been associated with childhood, dreams, and family for the past 61 years. Only one year after its grand opening, and having attracted 11 million guests, Walt Disney’s revolutionary first theme park, Disneyland was making the kind of magic that had earned the distinction of being one of the world’s top-ranking vacation spots. Today, the cost of one ticket has risen to the price of 100 dollars, while the highest ranked Annual Passport can be purchased for a price of 1,050 dollars.
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...

This misconception based on ignorance of current tourism industry, could potentially be a dangerous for local economy and development. Waking up in the morning the day of the wedding was the greatest and strangest feeling. I was so excited to start getting ready with the girls that I have started to get to know. We were in one of the bride’s maid’s house getting ready. Hair products, makeup products, brushes, hair strengtheners, dresses, and tights were thrown all over the floor. While we were rushing back and forth to get everything perfect, a lady was taking photos of us and of my future sister in law. Before my eyes she was transformed into the alternate Disney princess Jasmine. After five hour of this we were ready to be on our way to Huntsville State Park
As we got back into my sister car we pulled out of our parking spot to only be stuck in traffic. We sat in the parking garage with stand still traffic for almost an hour and a half. The traffic finally started to move, a Cadillac to my left, and a mini-van to my right that was not very happy that I pulled out in front of him. Oh well, it was my turn to go! I sat in that spot for another fifteen minutes. Finally, we started to move at a steady pace, then we saw the city lights outside of the never-ending parking garage. I hurried and called mom to get us home, because I have been lost that late before in the exact same area. My mom was not very happy, it was almost time for her to go to bed. As I drove my sister started nodding off in the passenger seat! We were so close to almost being home, then as we get to the 270 exit, it was closed for road construction! I started to panic, my mom heard me and woke up my dad to give us directions. As I listened and followed hos directions I finally saw New Albany! I told my parents that I would see them soon and hung up the phone. With my sister sound asleep I was left alone in the car with my thoughts of how the night had played out. The concert was just as I hoped, it was perfect in my eyes. Then the next day I had to
I am finally going to the “Happiest place on earth,” Disneyland. I am ultimately ready for the best three days of my life. I am going to Disneyland, I am going to be spending time with my family and I am going to have lots of fun. On the drive to Disneyland, we stop at Denny’s to eat dinner at one a.m. totally normal, right? I order the most basic and delicious meal of all time, chicken strips and fries. We are all half awake and ready to eat, as we are ordering my cousin orders his food,“I’ll have the chicklen strips and fries with an oreo milkshake.” What? Chicklen? My sister and I just look at each other and start cracking up. I do not blame him it is one a.m., we are all hungry, tired and exhausted from the
