The making of Disney Land began on July 21st 1954 this was only leaving 12 months of construction time until the opening day. Disney Land was around 160 acres in capacity and was located in a semi-rural area in the Orange County. Walt was burdened with millions of questions and doubt from several people about the running of Disney Land and if it would ever work out as this was something that had never been created before. Walt had Disney Land made up of 5 different lands, Main ST USA, Adventure Land, Frontier Land, Fantasyland Land and Tomorrow Land. 11,000 were sold and by the afternoon over 28,000 people were in the park. Walt was also out of luck as Southern California was suffering from a record heat wave. Temperatures were reaching around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. In the same day a gas leak occurred which caused Fantasyland, Fronteirland and Adventureland to close down for the rest of the day. After Walt was notified of all the disasters that had happened he knew he had to act quickly and make drastic measures to ensure on the next day Disney Land opened things like this did not occur. Walt now knew to avoid disaster and ensure all visitors where having the time of their life he had to make sure none of these things happened again. In 1959 Walt began the hunt to look for another space to develop another Disney Land but this one would be known as Disney World and would feature the famous Magic Kingdom. Walt wanted to ensure this Disney World would be in an easily located place as he did a survey after the opening of Disney Land and asked the question of how many people visited and the number was low due to the reason being that its location in Anaheim was not easily
It would be very hard to not have heard about Disney because he has released so many different kinds of animations, but during the 1950’s Disney began to become less involved in the animation department, entrusting most of its operations to his main animators, the Nine Old Men, although he was always at story meetings. Instead, he started concentrating on other things. On a business trip to Chicago in the late 1940s, Disney drew sketches of his ideas for an amusement park where he envisioned his employees spending time with their children. These ideas developed into a concept for a larger enterprise which was to become Disneyland. Disney spent five years of his life developing Disneyland and created a new company, called WED Enterprises, to carry out the planning and production of the park. In March 1952 Walt Disney got permission to build Disneyland. Construction work started in July 1954, and opened in July 1955; the opening ceremony was broadcast on ABC, which reached 70 million viewers. The park was designed as a series of themed lands, linked by the central Main Street, U.S.A a replica of the main street in his hometown of
Walt Disney World is trademarked for being the “Happiest Place on Earth”, and attracts millions of people each year from all around the world. With 10,000 guests an hour visiting Walt Disney World, parks reach their carrying capacity of 100,000, within the 43 square miles of Disney property, almost all of the days that it is open year round (“Walt Disney World”). With this much land and this number of people coming and going from the property each day, one may be to believe that The Walt Disney Company has their eye on one thing and one thing only - Money. Although this may seem to be a reasonable assumption, Walt Disney World, along with the entire Walt Disney Company, is paving the way to a sustainable company in new environmentally friendly

Walt Disney hosted the opening of Disneyland in June 17, 1955 even with all the chaos he managed to give one last sliver of hope to those yet to experience the magic of it all “ To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.” (Bryman
Walt Disney has brought two theme parks to life because of his imagination. He never stopped chasing his dreams, even if they seemed impossible. Walt Disney World came after Disneyland and it is located in Florida. Disney World is known to be the "most magical place on earth" and the place "where dreams come true". Many people haven't been to the park, so they might be skeptical of the "magic" that is held within. Walt Disney World is the "most magical place on earth" because of the rides, characters, shows, the electrical parade, Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, and the infinitely growing attractions.
Disney World is an educational wonderland. Disney World was founded October 1, 1971 by Roy O. Disney and Walt Disney. Seeing that the name of the park is Walt Disney World, I think it’s only fair to talk about the legend himself. According to Valerie Childs, Walt Disney’s life was a ride to say the least. Born in 1901 in Chicago, Walter Elias Disney was the youngest of four boys. At five years old, the Disney family left the city of Chicago and moved to Missouri to run a farm. When the farm proved to be unsuccessful, the Disney family moved to Kansas City where Walt’s father bought a newspaper delivery business. Later, the Disney family moved back to Chicago, where Walt’s father continued in the newspaper business, while Walt worked in a factory in the city. It was at the newspaper that Walt met newspaper cartoonist Leroy Gossett who inspired Walt to use his imagination, and Walt quickly began drawing every chance he got. By the age of 18, Walt had moved back to Kansas City and got a job at the local art studio. Walt began work drawing classic series that are popular t...

Thus, Disney directed the purchase of 43 square miles of virgin land--twice the size of Manhattan Island--in the center of the state of Florida. Here, he master planned a whole new "Disney world" of entertainment to include a new amusement theme park, motel-hotel resort vacation center, and his Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. After more than seven years of master planning and preparation, including 52 months of actual construction, the Walt Disney World Resort, including the Magic Kingdom Park, opened to the public as scheduled on October 1, 1971. EPCOT Center opened October 1, 1982, and on May 1, 1989, the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park opened
The first theme park opening in 1955 was Disneyland in California. After one full year of construction demands and a total investment of $17 million the Six thousands invitations to the grand opening had been mailed inviting people to experience the magic Disney had created but when the gates opened the Disneyland was far from magical. Workmen were still planting trees, the paint was still wet and the asphalt wasn’t set. The food stalls and restaurants ran out of food due to the high number of people because of counterfeit tickets being sold. Walt Disney didn’t know didn’t know what was going on because his attention was on the live broadcast. The rides broke down shortly after use. When Walt Disney World opened in 1971 the

But the Disney theme park located just outside Paris did not consider several managerial issues as well as consumer preferences. Walt Disney found Chinese population very lucrative and wanted to open a theme park somewhere around China. After two American parks and one Japanese park, they wanted to avail of the Chinese market which was previously unexplored. Disneyland, after initial talks with Hong Kong government, eliminated any other possibility of majority ownership so that they could invest on management and fees of franchise from their first-cut profits. Finally, Walt Disney had a management team of long experience of dealing with almost all the large and developed markets around the world. With the unparalleled resources and capital they already had, they could easily conduct proper market research before diving into the market in Hong
