Understanding Human Smuggling and Trafficking: A Survivor's Perspective

Many people are brought in from other countries in, more than likely to be put into prostitution. Human smuggling and trafficking can be defined as two different things about moving people. Human smuggling and Trafficking are two different opportunities people seem to earn money for moving them, but one is worse than the other. The difference between human smuggling and trafficking, deals with the view of how the person will be moved. Human smuggling can be defined as moving someone from another country to your current country illegally with them knowing exactly where they are going, while human trafficking is the movement of that person use of your own personal gain in putting them to work for your own profit. Most countries are the sources for trafficking people out for most likely prostitution, and least likely hospitality. Nearly all sex traffickers use young girls between the ages of 8 to 18, and sometimes 4 or 5 years

Human smuggling deals with illegally bringing them somewhere else with them knowing where they are going, but human trafficking is worse where they never know what will happen to them and lose all freedoms that they once had. Just like Holly, she had been lured into a trap by someone who had put her to work as a prostitute, but got out because an officer, founder her thinking she was just a juvenile later finding out she was a victim. There are ways that people can help to prevent the outcomes that could happen if you are lured or thinking of getting yourself smuggled into a country.
