In the novel East of Eden by John Steinbeck, the main family, which most of to conflict is directed to, is the Trask family. Another family in the novel which the narrator is related to is the Hamiltons. The Hamiltons serve an important role in the novel, which is to display the differences between the Hamilton and the Trask Family. The Hamilton family also display the concept of historical evidence.
