Multiple differences exist between the educational systems in Canada and India. In Canada, education is like an open topic with a rising debate that education can provide students with a career, but at the same time students can find success without it. However, in India education is not an open topic as many students must go to school as the country takes too much value into it as students can only get a well-paying job with a degree. This is what sets the two countries apart in their educational systems as Canada values willpower of the student in school because motivation is necessary to achieve success, whereas India values discipline in school because obedience is necessary to achieve success. Multiple differences can be seen in the way both educational institutions deal with punishments, dress codes, and curriculum. The students in Canada are responsible for their own work, and they are not shamed upon like in India or punished in front of their classmates for not being successful. The approach in Canada is very formal as the student can get support for areas that they are struggling with. The approach is very open as students have many options on how to achieve success by studying hard and getting extra help. Also, any students that misbehave in some cases may get detention. In Detention, the student will learn why he or she did something bad and was wrong to do so, as the teacher usually makes them write and reflect on what they have just done. There are many different types of society all around the world. India and Canada for example, are two very different societies with many things that are complete opposites. Things like culture, the food, and people are just a few of the things that are very what make up a society and what the society is known for. Every society has different rules that they must follow. In this paper, it will be looking at the culture and education practices of Finland, Canada, and China. Education varies from country to country as well as does one's culture, lifestyle of the people who live there. Why do Indian college students have high dropout rates? Why do Indian college students have hard times in college, and university atmospheres? Why do Indian college students have difficult times when it comes to making good grades? Maybe it’s because they have no role models in the home. Maybe they can’t relate to individuals with different cultures and backgrounds? Perhaps it is something simple as having poor study habits. Many cultures view education as a necessity of life therefore family are strict and get more involved in there child’s education. Around the world, education is given to students to prepare them for their future. The American education is considered one of the strongest systems of education therefore many countries the American system. The American education system contains many differences and similarities to the foreign system of education; however, students in the American system are not as successful as those in foreign countries like Japan.
Student discipline is affected by classroom management. The way in which a teacher manages his/her classroom delineates the type of instruction that will take place in the classroom. A classroom in which the teacher takes total responsibility for guiding students’ actions comprises a different learning environment than one in which students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own actions (Evertson, 2003). Many schools are reluctant to hold students accountable for their own actions. The education establishment warns teachers that they will be placing themselves in a questionable role if they emphasize rules, punish bad behavior, and reward good conduct (Bennett, et. al., 1999). Teachers need to create a learning environment in which students are encouraged to do their best and therefore, motivated to work to their highest potential. Teachers need to also set expectations and maintain the learning environment they have developed. Even in effectively managed classrooms, however, problems may occur.

Discipline plays a key part in education. Respect from your students will make the classroom a better atmosphere. Rules should be established on the first day.
